  It is a very very poor company with 0 knowledge or support capability for International Students. For example, in my case, a student who was on H4 for 7 years and recently changed status to F1 in 2023, their software said it may be a dual tax issue and someone will reach out. No one did. After multiple emails and escalations, someone for the sake of replying, said Spring tax stopped doing dual 'CITIZEN' tax cases. Imagine their knowledge level then. Avoid this company at all cost. They have poor knowledge and they want to charge you for that.

  Sprintax advertises its service as allowing non-residents to file federal taxes electronically. However, they have opaque eligibility criteria, which are not disclosed to the customer. They expect the customer to purchase their product and only then inform them that they are ineligible for e-filing. They also have non-existent customer support. Their business model seems exploitative of non-resident tax filers who don't know better.

  Strongly suggest users to not purchase their product. There are simply more capable online tax filing platforms, like turbotax and OLT for NRA.Most platforms gather your information and give you an idea of what form/service it can help to file before any payment, Sprintax is the opposite.They only collect very basic information regarding your filing identity, then you have to make a payment in order to provide information and see what service/filing is available.When asking for a refund, the customer service is completely useless other than throwing an abusive term like this:Cases ineligible for a refund are all other cases including but not limited to the following:(2) The Sprintax Product or Service was purchased by you by mistake or on your assumption that it does something that it is not intended to do and is not stated it would do STAY AWAY and choose a more reputable online tax filling platform!

  I filed my taxes with Sprintax, and the system informed me that it couldn't process one of my forms (a very common form), and that instead they would finish preparing my return offline. I was told to email it to them, and I presumed then they would feed it into the system manually and then I would be able to complete the process. I asked customer service agents to clarify the process, and they just told me to pay the fees for the service and then it would be explained. I didn't find out until after I had paid (and after several days of waiting, with more customer service ************* me no clear information) that what they really meant was that they weren't able to finish preparing my taxes, and I would have to do the rest myself, including manually compiling and mailing them. I found this out on the day that taxes were due, so I had to cancel my afternoon and rush around getting things together at the last minute.I protested about this to Sprintax and asked for a partial refund, and their customer service at this point was just as unyielding as the agents I consulted during the process were unhelpful. They referred me to obscure references in their FAQs and Terms and Conditions, and insisted that their unclear wording ('preparation offline') was clear enough that anyone should have been able to understand it. I hope never to have to use this service again.

  They charged me twice and I've been trying to get on to them for my refund and they have not been responding. They are impossible to get hold of. It is not a tax filing tool, it is a tax form preparation tool and you cannot edit your forms. Not only did not fill out the correct form but they made mistakes on it as well.

  Unbelievably unprofessional company. They are very quick to charge you right away but take all the time in the world to prepare your tax forms. Not to mention the mistakes they make in the forms! Their live chat is as unhelpful as it gets and they keep repeating the same things over and over again. They are predatory company who preys on international students. They do not provide the services they advertise and provide no service for their customers. You are better off preparing your own documents than to work with these people.

  On the front page of the website they say "simple way to file your ** nonresident tax return", however it's not a tax filing tool, it's a tax form preparation tool! It doesn't file thee tax for me, it asks me to mail the forms myself !!!IT'S A SCAM!

  This company is 100% a scam. The website glitched and charged the wrong price. I immediately told them and they refused to refund it. I offered to pay the difference between a new and amended return and they refused and said I had to pay both prices, even though it was their fault. They will absolutely steal your money. It's sad that they prey on a vulnerable population of international students and workers and that most people won't see this until they've already been scammed. Please stay far away from this company.

  This company engages in SUPER predatory practices against international students - a population that has a hard time navigating the ** tax system, to begin with. I was charged $150 to file my federal and state taxes. However, right after I paid for the service, I received a code from my school that would cover the fee for the federal taxes. I immediately reached out to the **************** team and, over and over again, they would say that they are not allowed to issue any refunds. They also shared the terms and conditions -which up until that point I had never seen- that basically state that under no circumstance customers are eligible for refunds. Mind you that they say they offer e-filing services but you don't know whether or not you are eligible for e-filing until AFTER you pay for the service. This company ***** and no wonder they have 1/5 starts on BBB.
