  This company engages in SUPER predatory practices against international students - a population that has a hard time navigating the ** tax system, to begin with. I was charged $150 to file my federal and state taxes. However, right after I paid for the service, I received a code from my school that would cover the fee for the federal taxes. I immediately reached out to the **************** team and, over and over again, they would say that they are not allowed to issue any refunds. They also shared the terms and conditions -which up until that point I had never seen- that basically state that under no circumstance customers are eligible for refunds. Mind you that they say they offer e-filing services but you don't know whether or not you are eligible for e-filing until AFTER you pay for the service. This company ***** and no wonder they have 1/5 starts on BBB.

The Sprintax Terms and Conditions, you are required to read and agree with before registration, claim that cases ineligible for a refund are all other cases including but not limited to the following:A problem arises because of unused, lost or misplaced access codes. (For example, Sprintax does not control the distribution or access rules concerning discounted codes for users by individual schools, universities or colleges.Therefore, we stand by our decision to not issue a refund based on the information you have provided.   Won't let me e-file but also won't tell me why. When I contact support, they just keep sending me the same list but won't tell me which clause caused me not being able to file. And this is after I had already paid for the services. They should let you know before hand if you can't file electronically but I guess that's less profitable than tricking customers.
