I went to 25th Fast Auto Repair on 6/17/22 for an oil change and a tire rotation. ******* the mechanic works on my car and I've never had an issue, although on this day he did not directly work on my car. He delegated another employee to do my tire rotation. All four of my rims are powder coated. This means that the rims need to be handled with care when being removed from the car. During the process of removing the wheels, the guy work on my car carelessly used a screwdriver to pry the lug nuts off my car instead of using the proper tools. He ended up severely damaging the powder coat on my rims around the lug holes where the lug nuts are secured. The gashes were so deep and ragged that I cut my finger when I went to check the depth of the damage.I told ******* the mechanic about the damages and he took a look at them. He acknowledged the fact that his garage caused damage to my rims, but he did not remedy the situation. Seeing as he did not offer up a solution, I went to ATR Tire and Rims and got an estimate for repairs one week later.I then decided to contact **** from Wheel Tech, the shop that originally powder coated my rims. He said that due to the depth of the gashes he would have to redo the powder coating completely. He said that sanding and painting was NOT an option, as the powder coated rims would continue to peel from the repainted areas. They needed to be re-powder coated in order to be returned to its original state.I want my rims returned to pre- damaged state which would require my rims to be re-powder coated. I requested them to be repaired properly, which meant the rims needed to be powder coated again.
