    If you have them for homeowners insurance, run!!! I have been in contact with someone from the company, yes that is the truth! They have done very minimal in response to my claim. We now have mold all over our house and absolutely nothing being done! Being in contact with someone makes no difference in how they are handling my claim. You should not have an A+ rating based upon your reviews! I really hope something happens soon or I am going to have to abandon my home!

    I was in a car accident in September. The person who hit me has founders Insurance. In the months since my accident. I have had to work with three different agents. Agents do not return calls, texts, or emails. And then a new agent is assigned who communicates one time and then never again. Ive been given different information each time I call about how to move forward with my case. Really think they are just trying to make things so confusing they dont have to pay any money. Currently waiting for them to approve my repair shop of choice. Ive been given three different directions for how to proceed.

    Please be advised that the complainant in this matter is not our consumer but rather a third-party claimant pursuing a claim against our insured's policy for damages.  A member of our team has been in contact with the complainant.  Payment was issued on November 4, 2024.

    Founder's insurance company should be shut down. I plan to report my experience to State of WI Commissioner of Insurance office regarding my claim. The adjuster was unreachable for a solid 34 days of calling. Not only did I finally receive my estimate 26 days after accident, but it wasn't an adjuster who sent the estimate, it was someone "helping out the adjuster." Thirty days post accident, I received a voice message, "There's a mistake with your estimate and I didn't see the notes that your vehicle is a total loss. Call me back." Of course I called, and of course I didn't get a response. In the meantime, I had a rental car and arranged my schedule with that of collision center, which was all a big waste of my time, because the adjuster didn't "read the notes." I'm being offered a cash out, which will not replace my vehicle, my wasted time, nor my stress level. All this and I'm actually PAYING these people for this incompetent service.

    Please do not trust your home or car with this company. I went through a Broker and this company seemed to meet my needs. Upon first billing the automatic payment was not taken out. I had to call. Second payment was not take out but I was sent a receipt saying it was paid. I was told to "just give it a few days". I called my bank, no attempt was made to access my accounts. I then was charged a NSF amount when the money was in my account the entire time. Needless to say I am cancelling. After researching several sites, this is a standard procedure of Founders Ins. I can only imagine what would have happened if something had happened to my home. Please beware. If you notice in all the following comments, Founders response is always the same. Founders Insurance Company is a SCAM. Any company that expects you to pay $300 up front, should have been my first clue. Allstate, nor State Farm has ever done this. Buyer beware, I was not.

    Founders Insurance Company strives to provide the best possible service to our customers.  A new electronic funds form to provide the accurate information was received by the complainant on July 8, 2024. 

    A member of our Billing team has been in contact with the complainant and a refund is in process.

    they **** a** don't want to cancel my insurance trying to double my premium. They lied they said they sent a letter saying a price hike...nope, I never received it!!! I give them a negative 5 stars!! They need to be investigated I know something is crooked in that company!

    I wish I could give zero stars. Ive been with founders for 3/4 years, they were zero help with both my accidents. I recently tried to cancel my policy, I got a payment confirmation email for my payment then 10 days later they email me saying my payments past due and it was more than 2 months put together for a 1 MONTH payment that I had already got confirmation was paid. When i call they tell me first choice had to cancel my policy, transferred me no luck getting a response from them. I reached out to first choice via email, they said founders had stopped the policy from canceling due to a payment arrangement but I NEVER set up one? I got new insurance, once again attempted contact to cancel my policy no luck getting through. Then I get pulled over Friday, cop informed me my license are suspended again because ********************** lapsed my policy. I had been trying to cancel and even letting it auto cancel but they refused!! Dont ever get coverage through them!

    Another option for complaint against this poorly managed insurance company is to contact the insurance commissioner in your state and file a complaint. They have more authority and with enough negative experiences by policyholders as well as claimants, they can pit pressure on the company and even withdraw their ability to sell insurance in your state. I just submitted such a complaint today !!

    THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE TO WORK WITH! AFTER GETTING HIT BY ONE OF THEIR CLIENTS, I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE RUN AROUND AND NO SOLUTION IN SIGHT. IF U ARE EVER HIT BY ONE OF THEIR CLIENTS GET A LAWYER!

    Two months ago, on October 3, I was rear-ended by a man with Founders insurance. After having to take my car to two different body shops for estimates because there were no "direct repair shops" in my area, I was finally told that they had negotiated with Body shop "A", and that I was to schedule to take my car there. The next day, I received a call from Body shop "B" to schedule my car. I told them about the phone call from Founders the day before telling me to schedule with Body shop "A". I called body shop "A" and they had no record of any negotiation with Founders. Body shop "B" was actually who Founders negotiated with. Meanwhile, I received an email from the claims adjuster telling me a check had been cut to body shop "B". We waited three weeks and no check was received by me or body shop "B". I called Founders, and the claims adjuster was out, but another person looked at the claim and told me the check had been written and mailed to body shop "A". Body shop "A" had already cashed the check, so I was told I had to go to Body shop "A", which didn't agree to the price. I was told by Founders that I would be responsible for any difference in price. I said, "no", and requested that they get the money back from body shop "A", but they refused. Not only do I have to take my car to body shop "A", but now I'm told that I am responsible for renting a car and paying for it. They said I could submit for reimbursement, but they won't tell me how much they will reimburse or how long that might take. All they will say is that they have to review three rental invoice before determining what they will pay. It is now Dec 2nd and no resolution. This is beyond ridiculous. This accident was NOT my fault, but they are treating me like it was. This is a terrible company to deal with. This shouldn't be legal!
