Recently purchased a brand new detached garage for my new house in Chicago. From the initial call to set the appointment, the sales appointment itself and then dealing with the office staff afterwards was always a great pleasant experience. Permitting took a bit, but that was explained during the review phase. After you purchase the garage, the office staff will reach out to confirm one last time and get your approval to proceed. Their operations manager Berenice walked me through every single step and warned me about the risks of some decisions I thought of taking. She suggested the best solution for the best outcome. Berenice was very knowledgeable as well as very transparent which I truly loved! It made me feel like I really chose the right company for this addition to my new home. From the permitting to the demolition, concrete, the carpentry build itself and the electrical to the final walk through. Everything was communicated and explained to me. Any questions I had, Berenice and her team always had not only answers for me, but also explanations for those answers. That always stood out the most. All my neighbors have complimented my garage and I can stand by their work. I will always recommend Danleys! Thank you!Review from Edgar A

CAUTION: Before you sign a contract with this company read their reviews, don't make the same mistake I did.I thought that they were a reputable company until I read their reviews.I signed the contract and found out later about the horrible work that other people experienced and decided that I didn't want to deal with shoddy work,so I cancelled the contract and got charged 25 per cent of the total cost for the job...better that than paying the whole thing for bad work.I found a more reputable company to do the workReview from Jamaal J

My brand new garage barely lasted a year and my garage door was off track and stuck open! This makes my house vulnerable and easy for criminals to steal. I contacted this business and they were very nonchalant and offered no help or concern for their janky work! So thanks for nothing!Danley's Garage World Response

Hi ******, as our Supervisor mentioned to you over the phone yesterday, we would be happy to resolve your garage door repair. You demanded to have us there immediately. When we offered to schedule a date and time, you refused. Please call us if you would like to discuss the matter further.Review from Ca A

Mr. ***** ******************,
Throughout our entire process, we showed you photos and videos of what to expect during the various phases of construction. As with all of our projects, we also called and walked you through the approved Building Plans and Permits before we began construction. If you feel that any phases of that process were missed, please call us at *************. The construction videos are also available for viewing at any time on our website: www.danleys.com
As you were made aware during our initial presentation, we are required to trench through your yard in order to lay the proper electrical piping. That piping needs to be buried at a certain depth per your local codes, and your village inspector also verifies that depth prior to passing the final building inspection. We returned to your property and filled in that trench after the inspection was completed and passed.
Regarding your comment about finishing the wall, based on our last conversation, you were expecting the entire the entire garage to be drywalled. As we specified in our introductory meeting and on your contract, we were required to add a single firewall to one of your garage walls for fire protection due to the proximity of that wall to your neighbors property line. Other than that single fire-rated wall, we did not include drywall in your building plans for any other areas of your garage. ************ clear on our contract and during our pre-construction call.
Respectfully,

This business is the worst. They built a garage but didn't follow the approved blueprints. The job failed the final inspection, but they still demandednI pay, I told them when they tare it out and do it right, I'll pay, they refused, I declined payment, they sued me, I won! They are bogus! They should be lock away and out of business! Stay away from that unsavory lowlife of a human, *********************** !You should allow zero stars, they don't deserve any!!!Review from John A

Unfortunately I signed a contract in November 2021 with Danley's. For ********* and change they were to remove my old garage, break up old concrete and replace with new concrete and build a new garage. They tore down the old garage March 29. New concrete, finally, April 23. I paid an extra $500 for extra rebar and a little extra concrete work. I'm still waiting for ****** with JAA concrete to come out and correct what his guys didn't do right. I've texted him a few times. No response. They had to build stairs from the future service door to my patio. They left forms in behind the stairs, built lopsided stairs and obviously don't know how to measure as the stairs were different sizes and crooked. After many emails and talking to people, someone finally came out July 8 to demo the lopsided stairs. New stairs were done a couple weeks later. Danley's and Feldco merged I guess sometime ago. We wanted the siding on the garage to match the siding on the house. "No problem" we were told. Danley's dropped the ball on that one too. Nobody bothered ordering back in November, or checking status on the siding. I was suppose to be contacted today-August 10- and be told when carpenters are coming out. Surprise, no call, email. text or anything. Tried contacting the salesman-******- a number of times. No luck with him either. He made the sale, so see ya later. Hopefully this will be read by people considering Danley's. My opinion........DON'T!!!!!. Absolutely the worse company I've ever dealt with. First garage was with Better Built. Those guys were great. Should of stuck with them. There wasn't an option for zero or negative zero review. Damnit.Danley's Garage World Response

We regret that you feel this way. We notified you that supply chain disruptions were delaying the specific color of siding on your order. We gave you some optional colors to choose from as an alternative to waiting. You chose one of those colors and opted to have us build sooner, only to stop construction later in the project and request that we go back to your original color of siding. This was after we had already switched the special-order siding color on your order, per your request. During construction, you notified us that you were not happy with the steps to the garage. We removed and replaced them based on your request. This additional work would not have interfered with the carpentry or other facets of our work. Instead, you asked us to halt all construction until the steps were completed. We abided by your request. Once the materials were in, we began construction of your large garage on 8/17. We completed the carpentry, electrical, and aluminum work within one week and we have your final walkthrough scheduled for this afternoon (8/25). We appreciate your business and are looking forward to seeing you at the walkthrough this afternoon.Review from charles s

I paid to a garage built by danley which took 9 months to complete. When doing the electrical they connected the work to my upper deck which is scheduled to be torn down and rebuilted they did this with out asking me or my wife if it was ok to do if they would of ask we would of told them NO because the deck will be coming down.they did this without our concent and refused to correct the problem.danley now tells my wife and i if we want it correct we have to pay to have it done correct..i chose danley in good faith and paid good money to have the job right.i do not think i should haveto pay for something they did wrong and without my permission.Danley also claim it took a week for me to notice the mistake which is a lie i notified them in two days when my wife saw what was done.all i want is for danley to fix the mistake that they made without me having to pay for their mistake.
