*************************, President of Window Depot *** of Chicago took my 50% deposit for windows to be custom made for my house and then installed.I turned over my deposit on July 21, 2022, with a promise of installation within 3-4 months, an extended time quoted while he told me Covid lockdowns, supply line issues and new build back up may be issues. Over the next 5 months, we personally spoke, and he assured me my windows were being built, then promised it again on October 28, 2022. He promised me a follow up call in 2 weeks, and I never heard from him again , even after several calls. On December 5, 2022, I called him again, along with the salesman who came to my house for the original sale. The salesman called me back immediately, and sent me a screen shot of the text ************************* sent him, stating that the company was bankrupt, and no employees would be paid. It was further discovered that his office had been cleared out and no apparent occupants were at his home.I was also told before all employee computers were wiped clean of any company information, and there was no evidence that the window builder was ever given any down payments to begin building windows that were now paid for.A contact to Window Depot *** corporate offices yielded an response that they hold no responsibility for their franchises suspected criminal activity, they are very concerned and that **************** has told them he will file bankruptcy. Corporate promised to keep me appraised of any further information, and have since ignored several emails, and calling directly. Promises to call me back left on voice mail has also gone unanswered as of this moment. As of 12/12/2022, Windows Depot *** of Chicago, and **************************** have not filed for bankruptcy, and remain purposely hidden from many concerned parties attempt to contact and recoup all the missing down payments.

In May 2022, I signed a contract with Home Depot of Chicago LLC to have a patio door and window replaced (Order *******). In July 2022, I sent them a check from my Chase checking account (Check # ***) for $2008 (signed July 28, 2022), which was deposited on August 2, 2022. The amount was for half of the total price, the second half was to be paid after the installation. The owner, ****************************, then told me that the installation would take place in November 2022. After one last communication in early November, the company stopped answering any of my calls, emails, or texts. I have tried multiple numbers, employees, and emails multiple times. I expect the company to give me a refund.

In June of this year we contracted with ************************* of Window Depot, Chicago to install new windows in our home.We paid a deposit of $5000.00 using our credit card with remaining balance of $11600.00 to be paid with no interest over 18 months using Synchrony Bank. They constantly told us that there was a delay in getting the windows produced going so far as saying that the problem was with Provia Windows, their supplier, and that we should switch to another kind of window from Climate Solutions that would actually be better than the original Provia windows. We agreed to this and now we find that Window Depot of Chicago has supposedly closed their doors and gone out of business. At the very least we are looking for the return of our $5000.00 deposit.

I signed a contract with ************************* of Window Depot of Chicago on June 2, 2022, to have the siding on my house replaced. I paid more than half the cost upfront ($19,231.00). I was given an estimated start date of between 7 and 14 weeks. I accepted their reasoning that the start date is longer due to manufacturing back logs due to Covid. However, by November of 2022, after 21 weeks passed, and work had not begun on my house, I once again attempted to contact ****** and the company. Neither ****** nor the company Window Depot of Chicago responded to my telephone calls, text messages, and emails. So I gave them a one star rating, only then a few days later ****** made contact with me listing new reasons as to why work had not commenced. He promised to give me reports every two weeks re my job.Today, 12/2/2022, is a month after that contact and ****** and the company have yet again failed to make contact or return my calls. My husband and I are retired seniors, my husband is a 100% disabled veteran, we are not wealthy. The siding on our house is desperately needed. Woodpeckers have pecked holes and birds are nesting in our walls. We are unable to fix it ourselves, thus us hiring a company that the BBB gave a five star rating. I have saved a long time to be able to have the work done. Our house is old and the cooling/heating costs are high due to the holes in the siding. We are quite frankly desperate. Please help us.*****************************

I signed an agreement with Window Depot on April 26th 2022 for replacement windows. The order was for $6,407.80 and I gave a check for the deposit of $3,000. I was told it would be ***** weeks for delivery and installation of my new windows. As of today 12/1/2022 I still do not have teh windows or a new projected installation date. I have not heard back from *************************** at Window Depot since 10/11/2022. I have sent multiple emails 11/7, 11/15, 11/28, 12/1 and left messages on the phone number from their website and on my order document. They say their manufacturer ProVia has not built my windows yet, if that is the case then just cancel the order and refund me my deposit. At this point I would just like to cancel my order entirely and get my $3,000 deposit back.

We placed and order for new windows from the Window Depot of Chicago in ***************** on 6/28/2022. We signed a contract with them on that day with a document via email from an ********************* via Docusign. The contract number is *******. We were told that a deposit for 1/2 to total bill ($23,936) was due upon when the technician came out to measure for these windows. At that time I gave them $11,968.00 and that check was deposited by them on 7/6 (check # ****). At that time the lead time told to us for installation was **** weeks. We did get updates from the project manager, ***************************, twice on the actual installation date which ended up being late October, early November. The last correspondence from him was on 10/6/22. Nothing since then. I have tried numerous times to reach out to him and other contacts that I have from the company via email or phone with no call back or return email. I can see via ****** reviews that I am not the only one having this problem. At this time, they have almost $12,000 of my money with no indication they are going to do this job. The windows are coming from a manufacturer called Provia. We attempted to reach out to them as well with no response. We phone numbers we have tried calling are ******************-492-4400 and ************. Please help me to either get this project completed or get my money back. Thanks so much! *******************************

We ordered windows from Window Depot and gave them our $500 deposit with the understanding that the windows would be installed late Oct or early Nov. We have heard nothing. We called and emailed several times. No one returns calls or emails. We just heard they intend to file bankruptcy. The manufacturer most likely has the windows that were ordered but will not release them "because they don't pay their bills". They continue to advertise and give estimates and take deposits without intending to do the work. They need to be stopped.

On October 13, 2022, ******* ***************************** signed a contract for house repairs with the salesperson named ******************* who worked for Window Depot *** Chicago located in *****************, **. The work included in the contract was for roofing, siding, windows, gutters, doors, and a screen door as well as a whole for the oven ventilation. The total cost was $50,000. He made a down payment of $28,000 and opened a line of credit with ******************* as part of the requirement for the payment. ******************* said a Project Manager would contact ******* after the windows were available and the ones in the house measured. The windows in the house were measured the following week, however, that was last contact with the company despite trying to reach ******************* by phone. ******* went to the store in ***************** on the first week of November and ***** said he said no explanation for why ******* could not hear back from his calls. Later that week, ******* returned to the address ******************., but they were no longer in unit C and the windows were papered over. Both units C and D windows were papered over. ******************* claims to be a Territory Manager at ************. ******* would like a refund of his down payment.
