I contracted MiniMoves to transport my belongings from ******, **, to ****************, **, based on an initial quote of $2419. After the pickup of my items, the final estimate skyrocketed to $5413, despite some discrepancies in the item count. The initial quote I signed specified that any overages would be charged per pound, but a customer service representative informed me the upcharge was based on the number of items instead. MiniMoves provided an $800 discount, which I accepted and paid in full to secure the discount. This payment was unusual as MiniMoves typically requires payment only upon delivery. The estimated delivery window provided was from 06-28-07/08. However, I was later informed that the delivery would be delayed until 07/11. On 07/11, the contract movers arrived an hour late and caused damage to the walls of my father's rental property, jeopardizing his security deposit. The delivery was someone elses belongings. Upon realizing the mistake, the movers left without delivering my items.I contacted MiniMoves and spoke to ***, who initially assured me she would investigate the issue. Despite this, I did not receive any update until 07/12. when I was informed that my belongings were mistakenly sent to ****** with no estimated time of arrival. When I expressed my frustration, *** said there was nothing that could be done immediately, and that I should contact ******** to file a 'delayed delivery claim' for reimbursement. However, I was told this claim could only be filed after my belongings were delivered, which is unreasonable given the ongoing delays and lack of a new delivery estimate.I find MiniMoves actions to be fraudulent and deceptive. I believe I am owed a significant concession on the final payment and a definitive ETA for the delivery of my belongings from ******. My next steps are to contact ******** for further assistance and to file complaints with the appropriate regulatory bodies. Thank you for addressing this matter.Business response

I hired Minimoves for a move between ************, ** and ******, ** (move # *****). After various issues with the move, including the price being different than agree to, the movers showing up late, and no communication surrounding delivery, my goods finally arrived at the destination in ******. Numerous items were broken, including family heirlooms. The ****** movers informed me that the ************ movers improperly packed certain items and lots other items, such as furniture hardware and peloton pieces. I have attempted to contact minimoves on over 10 occasions, and have not received a response to date. I also have not received my move paperwork, which I have requested on 3 occasions. I have reached out to *********************************, the move coordinator, and her supervisor -- who I have called and email numerous times with no response. I am unable to file a claim because Minimoves will not send me my move paperwork and no one will return my calls or emails. I have over $2000 in damages and Minimoves is totally unresponsive. I am happy to provide photos of the damaged good and copies of the email outreach with no response.Business response

Order *********** #***** Transaction Date 01-4-2022 Property Held Hostage Mini Moves contracted to use a special container to transport a glass tabletop for an addition fee of $340.00. This special container was not used and yet MiniMoves refuses to remove the special container fee of $340.00 from the invoice. MiniMoves will not deliver my property until this fee is paid. MiniMoves has threatened to add storage charges to the account.Business response

MiniMoves and **************** were able to come to a fair agreement on the pricing. The final cost came to $2,327.93. **************** signed the updated Order for Service. See the attached document. The shipment was delivered on 2/17/22.Customer response
