It took me months to get an instulaution date, Rebath was stating it was due to parts being ordered; however, after the job began it appears and from talking with workers its a labor issue dont have enough workers and over booking) and company is not adequately scheduling work/jobs correctly.First day only one worker came to demo our entire bathroom. He was looking for assistance and no one came to help him. He did a great job and was professional. Second day. No workers showed up. Around 10 am we had to call the company and they had to call the workers to determine where they were. Rebath called to say worker was at another site and no one would be working on our project today, but would return the next day. When it was time for the installation of the materials we ordered. We noticed it was not at the same quality/ thickness as the sample we were shown. When asked about the worker stated that many customers have the same issue has the sample pieces customers are shown are not what is required installed. We originally paid over ****** for our wet area to be redone and wainscoting to be placed in the areas around the bathroom where they removed tile. This was reviewed with the sales person, contact states What this includes:Includes Wainscoting currently 5 feet high or less and the sales person also voice recorded and video recorded the work we asked for. Rebath is now stating we only path for the demolition of the tiles off the wall and we did not pay for them to install new wainscoting. Rebath has stated this item is not in our contract and will only install the material if we compete a new contact and payment. The work they have done and will do complete the job is not worth ****** without including the wainscoting.

Good evening, we are sorry to hear there was a confusion.  Please find attached our signed agreement for the work we did for the homeowner.  We have visited on site and reviewed over all the details as well as provided them a video that my design consultant does in their bathroom of the scope of work.  The video does match the work we completed per contract.  We did offer the homeowner an option to add wainscoting at a fraction of the costs but they declined the offer.  We also did finish the project on the date that we told them at the time of scheduling the work even though we do let them know up front that this is just a approximate completion date as there can be flexibility in the schedule.  We are happy to visit again and do the wainscoting if they wish to add it. We do provide a sample also of our material which shows how the product will look on the wall after the full installation and also the exact thickness of the wall panel as well.  We did offer to show this to them again for their review. The contract was signed on 6.20.24 and we estimate ***** weeks till installation.  That is disclosed in a document the customer signs and I will attach that as well.    Please let us know if there are any other questions.

      Complaint: 22347824

I am rejecting this response because:
The response provided by Rebath did not address all of our concerns. Our concerns are the lack of installing of the wainscoting and the quality of work for the price and unfinished items.

The response from Rebath did not address why we were shown samples that had a different thickness than what was installed.

We still do not have a copy of the recording.

Additionally, The worker put a whole in a wall that was not part of the project. The repair was not up to standards. It is not as smooth wall as before and you can still see where the whole was. It should have been smoothed and covered properly so that you do not see this. Also, paint was left on an adjacent door frame not connected to the project and we hand to clean it.

There are holes in the bathroom floor tile, where our previous wainscoting was located and removed. There has not been anything placed to fix these broke tiles/ holes that were caused by the removal.

The medicine cabinet was taken down during domolition and once it was replaced it was not replaced properly and you can see all the broken dry wall around it. It was not put back in the same place it was taken from and the drywall wall not smoothed out, as it was before the Rebath demolition.

We would like this items address and the missing wainscoting installed.

Hello, please find our responses below

I will attach the photos of the space in question and the agreement.  The scope of work is very detailed of what is included and how the pricing was determined.

      * The photos submitted of the drywall are existing.  All we did is remove the cabinet and reinstall.  That is how the drywall was around the existing cabinet.

      * The reason you see the exposed edges on the tile is that their thick tile wainscoting was removed and now they only have drywall.

*We do have a recording stating that the tile wainscoting will be removed and new drywall added ( not new tile wainscoting ).  We offered this to the customer to listen to and they declined to listen while we were in the home.  I am happy to send this to them

Please find our photos and agreement attached.

I am rejecting this response because:
      Rebath,

The concerns mentioned in this email and in previous correspondents have not been addressed. These items include the lack of installing of the wainscoting and the quality of work for the price and unfinished items.
The concerns and items we would like resolved are:
      Wainscoting has not been installed,
we were shown samples that had a different thickness/quality than what was installed,
we still do not have a copy of the recording as previously requested,
Additionally, The worker put a whole in a wall that was not part of the project. The repair was not up to standards. (see attached photo) It is not as smooth wall as before and you can still see where the whole was. It should have been smoothed and covered properly so that you do not see this. Also, paint was left on an adjacent door frame not connected to the project and we had to clean it.
There are holes in the bathroom floor tile, where our previous wainscoting was located and removed. There has not been anything placed to fix these broke tiles/ holes that were caused by the removal.
The medicine cabinet was taken down during demolition and once it was replaced it was not replaced properly and you can see all the broken dry wall around it. It was not put back in the same place it was taken from and the drywall wall not smoothed out, as it was before the Rebath demolition. (see photos).
The only response we have received from Rebath is copies of the contract. All things have been considered In the contract. The contract did not include that shoddy work and construction would be performed and not corrected. The contract did not say that there would be extra caulk in the corners of the door and the cabinet over the toilet. The contract did not cover the uneven wall around the cabinet over the toilet. It's in the drywall only at the bottom. The rest of it is on the outside of the wall. The contract says wainscoting under 5 feet and standing in the bathroom with the salesman he joked that we can obviously see it's under that. My reply was so it will go all around to replace the tile. He said yes. Because as explained to him I turned down the other places because they would only do the wet area. Not the entire bathroom. Also, about the wet area. The tub spout and handle to turn on the water is motel quality. Turning on the water feels like it will tear from the wall. The tub spout when turning on the shower is just as flimsy. Pulling up the k*** for the shower. The whole spout moves.

Back to the salesman. He says, everything will be put back in place. So I guess in the contract it didn't include the medicine cabinet. It's not in the same place and no longer does it stay open without holding it. It's also crooked. I think the patch job to cover the floor the salesman said wasn't going to be touch is a great attempt to cover his misleading conversation with the salesman just to get a sell.
We would like this items address and the missing wainscoting installed.
