I purchased 4 Michelin tires back in Dec 2022 or January 2023 through Bell Tire in Saginaw Township, ** and received a reward card in the amount of $70 in February 2023. I didn't realize it had to be used by 7/2023 so it has expired by a few days. It was suppose to be valid for 6 months and should be from date received not filed. I should have had until the end of August 2023 and thought I did until I checked my card today. I would like a check in the amount of $70 sent to me. My reward card number is ******************* with a PIn on the back of 257. Check can be sent to me at **************************************************************

The card was issued in January and expired end of July which is 6 months. We will go ahead and honor and send a check for the amount of the card.

Purchased a set of Michelin motorcycle tires and was eligible for a rebate of $60. A rewards Mastercard arrived in the mail but when I called the activation number, it said there is a problem with the card and transferred me to a customer service agent. That agent told me the card is not valid and cannot be activated. Also was told by the same agent the number issued with the card is the wrong number and no one there can help me. Tried activating via the website YourRewardCard.com and the card number I have generates a system error. Have contacted the Michelin Rewards Centre and was told I need to contact the bank that issued the card (unsure which bank it actually is). Called that number only to be told by an automated service that I have to leave a message to which no one has responded. So, it appears I was issued an invalid card and I haven't been able to reach anyone who can issue a new, valid card. Am I out the $60 rebate?

      Business response

Since this is a ******** card we had to reach out to the bank that handles the fulfillment of those cards to get the card activated. The card was activated on Friday and the customer was called to let her know that the card was now good to be used.

I am rejecting this response because:

No one has called me. I checked the activation and balance and this card is still inactive and cannot be activated. I think I need a new card issued, this one is a dud.

      Sincerely,

We did try to contact the customer but were not able to get a hold of her until 8/8. We have reached out to the bank as we believe there is a problem with the *** telling the customer that it is not activated. We have been reassured that the card is active. We informed the customer to go ahead and use the card and if she has any further problems to give us a call back.

Purchased a new set of Michelin tires and received a reward card. Went to use reward card and found it had expired. Had not used any of the funds on the card. Would like the reward card reissued or would like to receive a check with the full reward amount.

Customer activated the card in December 2022 but never used it before the expiration date. We have issued the customer a check in the amount of the card.

Quite simply a rebate was offered in the form of a **** Gift card if I bought 4 new tires from *********. This has to be applied for at their rebate website leaving the purchaser no record of your application. Shortly after I filed the rebate form online and sent them a pdf of my receipt I received an email informing me of their refusal to send me the **** card since my rebate was out dated. Customer submitted his information into the winter promotion instead of the summer promotion. Based off of the dates it was denied as purchase date was past the eligible dates for that promotion. The system automatically denies it based off of dates and sends an email stating that the claim was denied. Customer never called into the ********************************************* to inquire to why it was denied. In cases like this we just add the customer into the correct promotion which is what we have done at this time. Customer will be receiving his ********************** card within the next few weeks.

I am rejecting this response because:
I don't trust the companies reply stating that I should receive my rebate in a few weeks. It is merely a promise one that has already been broken when they offered a rebate then claimed the wrong promotion was checked off ie Winter instead of Summer, this they're claiming I did in June.

Please understand I cannot accept their response untill I get my rebate in hand.
      Sincerely,

I purchased 1 set of Michelin tires through a local tire dealer (********************, 7-Dec-2022) with a $70 rebate for the set, submitted online rebate 9-Dec-2022 with copy of receipt and received rebate card $70 on 31-Jan-2023). I did not realize that there was a 6-month expiration date for the rebate card. Called customer service on ********** and was told that the card expired, and they could not activate or re-issue it. Please re-issue the card or send check for $70.

I purchased 4 new Michelin ***********/30/22 for $1,011.33. Michelin was running a Fall tire promotion rebate for $120 **** card. I made the purchase based on receiving the $120 rebate. I have been a Michelin customer over 20 years and even though the tires are expensive I can justify my purchase during rebate programs. Unfortunately this time when I went to use my rebate card it was declined because it had expired 5/23/23 about 34 days ago. I was devastated so I called Michelin and they told me there was nothing they could do. I couldnt believe they wouldnt try and help a loyal customer and make an exception by reissuing the card or sending a replacement check. I expected better customer care from **********************.

The website does not allow me to initiate a new rebate claim. I have been directed to submit a copy of the tire purchase invoice via email to ************************************************************ and I intend to. In my estimation, it is a ploy meant to discourage peeps from getting theirs. Besides getting my rebate, I want to be contacted by Michelin.

      Business response

We understand that some customers have had issues submitting their rebate claims and continue to work on updating our website so that this does not happen. Customers can submit their invoices to our email address and we will submit it for them to get them their reward. Customer can submit to ************************************************************ or go to the website and select email us to get to the same location. I apologize that he has had issues getting this submitted.

      Complaint: 20247190

I am rejecting this response because: The situation is misrepresentation from the start in that it is made to appear the rebate is coming from a manufacturer of good reputation vs. middle-men money changers. Beyond that, the moneychangers block the consumer from seeing the rebate rules while, at the same time, making it appear as if it is too late to submit the claim. That would apparently have nothing to do with website problems. Is it a deceptive ploy and total scam meant to deny the consumer their due remuneration? I'm still waiting for the call or something from a represetative of the actual tire manufacturer, as that is who I thought I had entered into an agreement with...  If I am correct in my position about the website hurdles, it is unlikely the moneychangers would admit it. So, what would be the point of any discussion with them or the response to this complaint? I do not need a call claiming the card is in the mail - when I get it is what matters. I prefer that the claim remain open until I receive the card.

      Sincerely,

      *************************

I have tried e-mailing and faxing the information for the $110.00 rebate to Michelin and for some reason it can't be done. I have faxed many documents to other organizations with no problem, but when faxing to Michelin, I can hear the two fax machines communicating then I get an error code and the documents do not go through. I wish I did more research before I bought Michelin tires.

I apologize for the delay I do not recall seeing this before to respond. We did receive a fax on 6/28 for his submission and it was approved. The reward card was mailed on 7/7 and he will be receiving it shortly.

After buying Michelin tires and submitting the refund, I waited six weeks before receiving a Mastercard rewards card. The card came up as invalid when I attempted to activate it over the phone or on the internet. The card is still not authorized and I've lost the refund amount and a lot of time talking to a support centre in ***************. As far as I can tell, this is a fraud since there is no record of my ever phoning about the card. They informed me that I couldn't report the card as lost or stolen after I mentioned I would want to. It eludes me. Who exactly is to blame in this situation? The face of the card has either Michelin, Mastercard, or CAMSO inscribed on it. Most likely, they have my name printed on a card with the same number as everyone else's. The number on my card is **** **** **** XXXX. This is a rip-off! Avoid using items whose support is located on the opposite side of the globe.

To Whom it May ********* just bought 4 new Michelin Tires at ***** Tire at my local dealership on June 6th 2023. I knew that there was a rebate of $110 from Michelin Tire if you bought 4 new tires over $850. I filed for my rebate and was denied. I did an online chat and they first said it had to do with the $124 that ***** gave me for doing business with them. No where in the terms and conditions could I see this.I contacted my ***** Dealer and they had the understanding I was qualified. Then on Friday June 16th I got an email stating I didnt get the required 4 tires. It states clearly on my invoice I got 4 tires. When I told them I got 4 tires, they told me that I got $175 off on the tires and that disqualified me. The other 2 rebates are for $24.99 to check the wheel alignment and $20.00 to align my car. Again, this is a discount from ***** Tire and was not mentioned in the terms and condition.I feel that I am due the $110 rebate since none of the discounts brought my cost of the tires under the $850 to qualify for the rebate. If this stands, this is their way of getting around their terms and conditions to deny my rebate.Hoping you can help resolve this matter,***************************** Attachments: Invoice, Email and Terms of Conditions included below
