      since February 2022, Secondsale.com has posted incorrect book covers for two books that I own. I called and emailed the company since that date and also with a DMCA letter, but they refuse to take down the postings of my books that I own. They do not have copies of the books.       on feb 3, 2022 i ordered and paid for 4 books.Order details Order: EYONUCMHK Placed on 02/03/2022 19:06:06 Payment: paypalExpressCheckout i received a package with only 3 books in it on feb 10. 2022. the book The Hungry Girl Diet Cookbook Healthy Recipes for MixnMatch Meals Snacks - Book Condition: Used - Good $3.88 was missing from the package. i immediately emailed secondsale and advised them of the missing book and told them that i still wanted the book and to please send it. they offered me a refund and refused to send the missing book. on feb 11, 2022 they sent me an email saying that they had processed my refund. on feb 12 i sent them the following email "i see that you are still showing the book that was omitted from my package but at a slightly higher price, 17 cents more. please send the book and remove the refund which i said i didn't want. i want the book. if you don't have the authority to send it, please forward this message to someone who does." they responded "So sorry you would need to place a new order, we are only able to issue a refund."later that day i received a request from trustpilot to review the transaction which i did do. on feb 13 i received this message from secondsale "The higher price you speak to is because the book is in "very good" condition that is being sold, to which, the book you had ordered was in "good" condition."i responded "i am very happy to pay you the few cents difference in price if you will send me the book that you omitted from my package. thank you."i never heard from them again regarding this matter.if secondsale had notified me prior to shipping that the book i ordered and paid for was no longer available but another copy for 17 cents more was available, i would have gladly paid the difference. i still want the book. they show other books that i would like to buy but feel i cannot trust this company to deliver what they offer. for 17 cents they lost a good customer who frequently buys ********************.

      Our policy is to refund an item that is missing from a shipment, and that is what we did. If the customer still wants the missing item they would need

      to place a new order for the missing item.  Which is what we told the customer.  We can not undo a refund.  Also if we had the higher priced item in stock at the time of shipment we would have shipped it out

      no matter the cost.  Our stock changes min by min. so at the time of shipment the missing item was not in stock.

      I am rejecting this response because: it is not accurate. the higher priced (17 cents more) book was in stock since i saw it there when i checked your site as soon as i received my order.

      i ordered 4 books in order to get the free shipping. now you want me to re-order the book, which according to you may or may not be in stock,  and pay for shipping?unacceptable.

      the refund you sent was actually less than the price of the book. and why did it take my writing a negative review thru trustpilot to get someone in your 'customer service' **** to send a response other than 'we're sending you a refund'? having worked in customer service for many years, that is definitely not an example of good customer service.

      I have been communicating with Second Sale for the past few days-unsatisfactorily. They sold me a book, "Film Noir Reader," described as in "Very Good" condition through Abebooks. It was not in such condition as the back cover had a large crease running diagonally across the entire page. I asked for a refund and for prepaid postage to return it. In multiple emails, Second Sale never acknowledges their responsibility to pay for return shipping as any reputable seller would. After all, Second Sale misrepresented the book's condition. Given the extensive 1 star reviews, on the BBB website, it is shocking that these reviews do not count towards the BBB rating of Second Sale. The purchase price was $6.62, Abebooks Order # *********, Purchase Date: 1-31-22

      Oct 12 initiated sell order for textbooks. We were quoted prices, some ridiculous 12 cents but accepted it and sent books. They quoted us $45 on one book but upon receiving the books told us they wouldnt pay because of condition. There were in good condition. They charge us to return the books but have not returned them, have not paid us and will not return multiple messages over a month.

      I was sent a fake check. I sold a textbook to sellbackyourbook.com in early October for $28.71 and received a check I could not deposit. I looked up the signs of fake checks online and the one I received was undoubtedly fake. Im convinced this company is a scam and preys on students in need of money. How it has an A+ with BBB is beyond me. Either I get the money I was promised, or they send me back my book. I will not pay these scammers for return shipping either.

      We do not send out fake checks if we did we would not be in business since 2008, and we are also not scammers.

      Most times for mobile deposit the image can not be read correctly. You just need to email us and let us know.

      We can either send you out another check or we also pay out via paypal which is the preferred way


      as it is much faster for both of us. All I would need is the email address for your paypal account..

      I recently mailed nursing school books that were in excellent condition to this company. They Quoted me $130.00 to be sent to my PayPal account upon arrival. They were slow to process and then said only 2 of the 7 books arrived. They were all packaged in one strong packing box and taped very well. Mailed **** as they are easier handlers. I have received two emails from this company seeming to be a computer. Based on the other complaints I am now reading on the BBB I wish I had never used them. I think they are not being honest. I have never had this problem with any other company. Please help!

      Order was already paid out on 9/23 via paypal, as stated before this is our busy time of year and just like every other company in ****** today we are short staffed, so is **** and FEDX so shipments take longer for us to receive and longer for us to process, it is sad that the customer can not understand what is going on the world today and have a little more patience with businesses.
