      Our account had an update on it and it had turned off our auto pay that was set up to that account. Unaware of the situation we had 3 bills build up when they called us and let us know about the issue. They let us know that we had past due bills needing to be paid and we did so over the phone. The transaction was double charged to my account and I had to call back and cancel one. Their *** cancelled both of my charges and then they proceeded to turn off our gas. It was below 0 degrees outside and my property was below 48 degrees inside. I paid up and scheduled a technician to be at the property. The next day the technician came and waited outside for 7 mins (which was caught on my cameras) before he left and told us he had another emergency he had to deal with. They had no more appointments and as of now its been over 2 days of no gas and no heat in the heart of winter. For 6 years I have not had one issue with payments and as soon as they had an opportunity they left us in a very dangerous position. This was for a commercial property

      So Nicor Gas doesn't have any customer service at all during the weekends? Unless you have a gas leak you can get absolutely no help or answers at all until monday? If that isn't the most unprofessional unethical careless **** poor absolutely ridiculous business practice I don't know what is (Especially when it's November). Any common fool would think that Nicor gas understands they make enough money to pay a human to answer the phone on the weekend. After years and years and years of being a customer all of a sudden they don't have any record of my account number. So because it's the weekend I'm in the dark and out of luck with no answers whatsoever. Every month I pay extra on each bill but even if it was a late payment my account number should still be on file.

      Ok dont ever miss a payment when you are on one of thier plans. Missing the payment was 100% my fault. They came out on a Friday afternoon with no warning or even a knock on the door snuck in the side yard shut off the gas. By the time we realized what happened they were closed and wouldnt come back until Monday to turn it back on. Thats such an awful thing to do to someone! One knick on the door let us know whats happening so we can make the payment and avoid the shut off for the entire weekend or dont do this on a Friday! I know other utilities like water or electric have polices for this and they are capable of coming out on a weekend. I work for a local water utilty foe the past 29 years and would never do this to a human when they make a mistake. Shame on you Nicor!!!!

      I had received a letter from Nicor, asking me to make arrangements to get an updated meter and the inspection that goes along with it. Well, without making the appointment, the company changed the meter without telling anybody, but said they knocked. Someone was there. So, they cut off our service and left us a note telling us to call them to get our service back up. In the meantime, there is no hot water. So, I check the hot water heater, but there's no flame. I assume that the fla.e went out. Then, I call my maintenance guy, and replaces there the ignition element, which cost $186.00, plus his fee. When began to ignite the element, there's no fuel(gas). So, we check gas range upstairs, and there is no gas. We go outside to the meter, and it has been disconnected, but my bill is up to date. We call Nicor and scheduled a n appointment for later this afternoon. I am passed and out of ******. Who should foot the bill?

      Appointment was made to change gas meter. The technician was to come in and check the appliances afterwards. I only received a text that he arrived. I could hear him outside. I never saw a vehicle or him, nor did he come to the front door. I called NICOR was on hold for 30 minutes, then was disconnected. I called back and was told that a technician will be back to solve the problem within an hour,I pay my bill for incompetence. How pathetic.

      Nicor Gas has terrible customer service and our ********************** had to call again to get a shut off at a property that we originally requested on 4/19/24. They of course have no record of the first and no record of the 2nd call (of course). Keep in mind that 2 different people called Nicor and confirmed that the they shut the property off. This survivor said that I was wrong. When I told him that our out going calls are recorded and that it didn't matter either to them. So if your putting in an order to Nicor Gas to have services shut off, you better call back several times to make sure Nicor does what they are supposed to do correctly or they will blame you. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!! RUN AWAY IF YOU CAN!!!!

      Nicor gas has a terrible customer service. It's almost impossible to speak with a live person. They do not offer emergency service when your service is disconnected on a Friday.They are trying so hard to automate the customer service that they forgot that meeting customer's needs is very vital.

      Terribly they turn off my gas in frigid cool month and Im without heat just I speak which it was people gas supply my gas instead of Nicor wicked people how dare you hope karma will come back to you whoever decide to turn off my gas in the cold frigid month

      I just received a bill from Nicor Gas for $487.60!!!!The Nicor Gas Company called me and told me I had to pay the full amount. She said the last payment they received was October 2023!!!I never received a bill until now AND they never called **** had to borrow money to pay the entire amount!!!! Im outraged.

      I just want to say that I just called Nicor today to set up a payment plan and the customer service rep that I spoke to was amazing. Her name is ***** and I just want Nicor to be aware that she goes above and beyond and was the nicest rep I've ever had the pleasure to speak with. She deserves recognition for being so patient and understanding and helpful. Most reps just treat you like a number, not like a person with actual hardships and she listened and was able to completely help me and get my issue resolved, while being incredibly nice, funny and just a sweetheart. Thank you *****. If I knew a direct way to let her boss know, I would.
