On 7/19/2021 Emergency Plumbing did work on my house. The job I hired them for was to tie into existing plumbing and run new pipe into a closest so that I could install a washing machine. When getting the quote, I asked if this job was doable, as I am not a plumber. I was told that it could be done, and they quoted me $2,000 for the job. When they did the work, they ran pipe through an uninsulated attic. During the winter, the pipes froze. I paid them another $250 to disconnect from the original plumbing so that no other pipes would freeze. Now that it is spring, I am trying to hire a new plumber fix everything Emergency Plumbing did. I have been told by 2 different plumbers that the work that was done by Emergency Plumbing was not up to code. That it is against code to run plumbing in an uninsulated wall/attic. At this point i have paid $2,250 to Emergency Plumbing to install the work and then come back and disconnect it so that their work did now damage my original pipes. I have no working washing machine to show for all of this. Emergency Plumbing tells me this is my fault. That I should know it was going to freeze and I should have hired someone else to insulate that part of my wall. None of this was discussed at the time they did the work.
