I bought a used truck from this dealer mid April 2024, all in all it looked great. However when I went to look at the truck I informed them one of the rear lights was out, so I assumed they wouldve replaced the bulbs as soon as possible. After I bought the truck I went to leave and realized they hadnt, which was no big deal just annoying. After that I went and got the safety and emissions done, which failed for some ball joints needing replaced. So I tried getting in contact with my the seller and after about a week and a half of getting singular response texts back and continuously asking if they were going to pay to fix it because they sold me a broken vehicle they finally answered saying they would. A few days later I took it into the dealership shop and the sales manager tried telling me they already replaced the ball joints before I bought the truck and I didnt know what to say at that point. So they went and made some calls and informed me that they had ordered the parts but the truck had sold before they could fix it. Which means they knew there was a problem with the truck decided not to tell me. After they finally fixed everything it failed the safety inspection for, I immediately went and took it and got it re-inspected and it passed all seemed good until I got back into the truck. When I got in and turned it on I saw the check engine light was on. I had the inspection shop run the code and let the dealership know. They told me theyd let me know what they can do, so I called almost everyday after trying to get an answer from them and I finally just got through today and they pretty much told me to kick rocks because they know their people dont clear the codes before selling a vehicle.Moral of the story is, I would not recommend buying from this agency. They wont tell you about any issues they KNOW the vehicle has, and when you try asking them about anything after you buy they just wont answer your calls.

Watch out for service manager *****************, he will lie to you just to get business for his employer. Lets start this story. 2 years ago I purchased a pre owned Chevrolet from the *** ******* thank you Yemi your awesome. This truck almost a year later started to get check engine light that would go on and off, I stop by the *** ****** where I bought it from talked to the service ***** they told me since they do not have their own ***** ****** with auffenberg that I would need to go somewhere else, which I did. The place I took it to helped me out with no issue and resolved my problem. Present day, I am having issues with shifting so call *** and let them know what was up since I bought it from them, I was told same thing cant work on it , take back to the original people that helped me, found vehicle needs transmission. This vehicle is covered under extended warranty. The next day I get a call from ***************** (service manager) for all of auffenberg from what he tells me, stating that my *************** sent him an email stating that since I bought my vehicle from their ****** I have to take my truck to them or my coverage is void, because its over the limit of what they cover and I need to take my ***** to NISSAN and let them do it. I asked about all the times being pushed to the side and take it somewhere else, I was told that they have a guy that can do it, and transmission work isnt rocket science. Well I contacted the *************** and they stated they never sent such an email and I have a choice of where I take my vehicle to get worked on. I would like to say that Auffenberg has great sales people, I have bought 2 vehicles from them due to Yemi being the awesome person he is. The service department customer service *****. If *** is a reflection of your service department then I would suggest replacing him and restructuring the team with better morale and values.

I am saddened to have to write this complaint. I purchased a car Apr 15, 2023, from Auffenberg Nissan in Shiloh, IL. I have purchased and paid for three vehicles from Auffenberg, including two brand-new Nissan vehicles and a pre-owned VW. I worked with ******* ****** (Finance Manager) for the April 15th purchase. Before my purchase, I researched all of the Nissan vehicles and the discounts that were available with my purchase. In my research, I found that I would qualify for at least a minimum of two discounts: Nissan Loyalty Discount, as I had already purchased and paid off my first Nissan; Nissan Recent Graduate Discount, as I provided a copy of my degree that was earned within the allotted time, and I inquired about an Auffenberg loyalty discount as I have purchased and paid for three vehicles with the company. I provided all of the information for my degree, and ******* advised that he would contact me for the discounts. I needed clarification about why the discounts were not honored then, as I had everything required. I am still waiting to receive a follow-up. As of 5/22/23, I have not received the discounts that I was promised nor received a phone call from ******* or anyone from Auffenberg Nissan about rectifying my situation. Once the purchase is made, it is out of sight and out of mind. This situation has caused me to rethink purchasing my next vehicle from Auffenberg. I, like others, have a choice of where to spend my hard-earned money. When I decided to purchase another car, I did not hesitate to return to Auffenberg, and now I feel different. I feel cheated, ignored, and dismissed. Auffenberg Nissan, honor your commitment, honor the promised discounts, and correct this situation for me and any others you have failed. Sincerely, ~******* ********* A hurt and dismissed loyal customer

Unfortunately, the Nissan Loyalty Discount only applies to vehicles financed with Nissan. We reviewed the deal and can confirm the customer does qualify for the $500 college graduate program. We will be issuing her a check for the $500 rebate.

I have been trying to get my car shipped to me for a week, I keep getting the run around. I have been contacted by 4 different transport companies and was informed that this dealership is only offering to pay $200.00 for my car to be transported, yet the dealership charged me on the sales agreement a far larger amount. This is scandalous behavior!!! And the general sales manager keeps telling me that they just can't find anyone to ship my car!!!! I would not recommend this dealership to anyone!!!

I recently purchased a 370z from another person out of state that required some work. I contacted Auffenberg's Service department and asked that they evaluate the current check engine light as well as a possible fuel leak in the rear of the car. I explained that I would like to understand what is wrong with the two items and they explained that the diagnostics would cost $100 for each of the evaluations (witch I agreed to). Later that afternoon one of the service advisors called me back explaining that there were multiple issues with the car’s wiring and that the intake may also need to be replaced totaling ~$8,000. They also explained that they could not diagnose the fuel leak without dropping the fuel take that would cost an additional $1,400. I told the advisor “Thank you” but I was going to pass on both repairs. Several days later I drove up to the dealership to pick up the car only to find that now it would not rev past 1,000 RPM making it impossible to even drive home. I called the dealership this morning where I spoke with ***** **** (service Manager) and explained to him that I acknowledged that I did not have the car repaired but I still expected to receive the car back in the same (drivable) condition that I dropped it off in. Mr. **** explained that they (the dealership) were not responsible for the fact that it was not drivable even though Auffenburg technicians were the only persons who touched the car from the time it was dropped off until I attempted to drive it home. After emailing my concerns to the General Manager I only received a call back from the same service manager I took issue with again telling me that he is the final say for the entire dealership and they will not own up to the issue why I cannot drive the car home. I have never asked they repair my car at no cost, I just ask that it be returned to me the same condition it was brought in (drivable).

The vehicle came into our facility in a poor running state with multiple lights on the dash. Check engine light, ABS light, slip light and many more issues. The appointment even stated that the vehicle would go into limp mode. Upon diagnosis of the vehicle we found the vehicle had multiple codes related to electrical issues within the throttle body harness, throttle bodys, solenoids, and mass air flow sensors. Upon further inspection we found the main wiring harness has been incorrectly repaired in multiple locations causing electrical shorts all over the vehicle. Due to this we suggested the harness needed to be replaced entirely which was declined by the customer. As far as the fuel diagnosis, we did isolate the evaporative leak to the tank, at which we did need to remove the tank to locate. Customer declined to have ** to remove the tank to isolate leak.Upon further evaluation we did find out the vehicle had been in two total loss claims, and was poorly repaired outside just the harness damage including frame damage, core support, cross beams, leaking fuel, and multiple other levels of concern due to the previous damage. The vehicle at the current state is not fit, or safe for roadways. We offered a resolution with the customer to attempt to repair it at a discounted rate, at which was also declined by the customer. All attempts have been made to have a resolution with the customer, but all attempts have been declined by the customer. The cars state has not changed from when it was received by our dealership, it came in with electrical issues, and due to non-repair, still has electrical issues including the limp mode he described it having in his appointment.

The comment of "All attempts have been made to have a resolution with the customer" was a slight discount to the $8,000 to repair a ~$500 wiring harness. Blaming the condition of a vehicle when it comes into the shop....I don't see how this changes the fact that a car is driving to your dealership to have it "looked at" and now it does not drive at all. The only variable between when the car was dropped off and drivable from when the keys were handed back to me was your shop technicians working on it. Even if I did agree to have your shop repair my car, I would never trust that I would receive it in the same or better condition than when it was dropped off.

If I could leave no stars I would. I am highly pissed off with purchasing my vehicle from them. I will never ever do it again. I purchase a Nissan Murano in November 2022. Me and my grandmother went in picked out what we wanted put down a 20,000 plus CASH down payment. Only financed maybe 17,000 that was left. Signed all required documents and left with a new car. December approaches I still had not received my bill and I knew my paperwork stated that the first bill was due December 25. I called spoke to **** and *****, they let me know something was screwed up with the paperwork. We will email it to you have signatures and email it back. Fine okay done. Time still goes by January still no bill, **** reaches out to me we need to redo the paperwork, OK, I will overnight it to you then I overnighted it back. Fine. It is March, two other people call me stating hey we need to get you in again and redo your paperwork. I explained I am at work. When I leave work I will be hitting the road for the weekend my kids or in sports. They were so rude with me and came at me like I have screwed up. I understand you have screwed up and trying to correct on your dealership end but I did not deserve to be talked to like the following. Well you only stay 15 minutes away (yes I may stay 15 minutes away but I have to bring my 82 grandmother back again), we will not be able to over night it (you have twice before). Then I was told that I haven't paid a car not on the vehicle in 5 months as if I was receiving the bill and just not paying it. How dare you talk down to me and you are the one that screwed up. I could bring this vehicle back to the dealership and I want all my money 20,000 plus dollars back. So unprofessional and no salesmanship.

This morning I intended to go buy a truck listed on their website. I called to verify the vehicle was in stock. I mean this was a really good price on the vehicle so I had my reservations. Ive heard of the illegal bait and switch tactics some dealerships use. The first response was if its online then its in stock. Naturally I wanted a little more than that. I requested someone verify it was on the lot. The representative told me they would call me back. After a good deal of time I called again. The next associate said it probably wasnt in stock (once again no visual verification or checking to see if it sold) so I began to plan my day. Shortly after another person called back and said it is in stock. I asked for visual verification and they said the sales person verified the black Sierra ****** is here. So off I go trying to check back in periodically to see if someone just anyone can stick their head outside and verify this vehicle is in place. I drove an hour and a half burned a tank of gas made my loop around the dealership and never found the truck.. I entered the dealership and the representative in the front took about 8 seconds to inform me the vehicle wasnt there. Her first action was to recommend a lower trim and motor package and by all means in theory cheaper truck at a higher price point siting that a new associate must not have known what they were doing. (though it did have a few less miles definitely apples to oranges in their favor) Im immensely frustrated that I wasted from 9am- 5pm putting my familys day on hold. Because I was dumb enough to fall for this tactic. Maybe it wasnt a tactic maybe it was complete and utter failure on multiple employees. However it seems to check all of the boxes that Im aware of to qualify as an illegal bait and switch tactic. This is just my story of my experience with this dealership. I am no lawyer.

Mr. *****, First I want to apologize for what you are feeling. We here at Auffenberg strive for five-star experience with every transaction. We are also proud and stand behind our Honesty Policy. The vehicle you are talking about is a 2017 GMC Sierra Denali. This Truck was sold on 9/2/2022 and didn't get removed from the website fast enough. The salesman here should have gone and touched the truck before answering your question, and for that I am truly sorry for the misinformation. I as a General Manager of the Company have trained all of my salespeople on alternate offers for cars we have or have had in stock and our intention will never be bait and switch. The intention of the offer is to try and satisfy the needs of our customer in a market where vehicles are selling rapidly, and inventory is scarce. I would like to have your permission to continue to find you what you are looking for and if you have any questions at all, my Direct contact is *** ****** ************

I originally purchased my car from auffenburg nissan in wood river IL. Great people and staff. Anytime I've had problems I would go to auffenburg in ****** which is formerly ofallon auffenburg. The service staff is great. Nevertheless, my car is never fixed correctly. I recently had an incident where a driver ran a light and hit me. I contacted my insurance company and auffenburg to let them know what was going on. Mysteriously they got a call saying the vehicle was left abandoned on **** parking lot. So the big bosses came and accused me of not reporting the accident. Also was questioning y this and that. They then toom the vehicle I was paying daily to rent saying I couldn't drive it due to the airbags being deployed. Not one time did the lady ****** tell me to bring on the vehicle when I called and reported it ro her. They left me and my daughters stranded in ofallon. I had to find a way for us to get home.took about an hour to do so. I've had ***** for years. And they would've made sure we got he safely. They were rude and I considerate. I feel like since I'm african American I figured I was lying and they were better than me. As a woman I always have my stuff together. Although I understood them when they said the vehicle wasn't drivable due to the airbags. But the fact they left q woman and 2 children stranded is inconsiderate and heartless. I will ve trading my car in asap. I will keep buy another nissan

On August 18th we received a phone call from a concerned citizen. They had just been cut off in traffic by a woman driving erratically. He stated the vehicle she was driving had our license plate on it and furthermore the car was already wrecked. He stated the customer pulled into **** on Highway 50 in ******* and suggested that we come and see it.When I arrived, I found one of our rental cars and it was destroyed on the passenger side. It appeared all the airbags had been deployed. I called the City of OFallon to send an officer out to investigate. He arrived and looked over the vehicle. I also called out our Service Director. We confirmed the vehicle had been rented out to a ***************************** on 07-22-22. He ran the vin and plate in his system and neither had been reported to have been in an accident. He also stated that he would not have allowed the vehicle to leave the scene of the accident in the condition it was in.When **************** approached the vehicle, she was confused on why we were there. She stated that someone had ran a stop sign in *********. She also stated that she had a Police Report and filed a claim with her insurance company. We were unable to verify the Police Report, or the Insurance Claim and she was unable to provide us with a date that the damage occurred. Regardless, we let her know the vehicle was unsafe to drive and we would have a tow truck come and pick it up. We let her know that we would be unable to provide her a replacement and that she should contact her insurance company to arrange alternate transportation with them.No one at any time was rude or unprofessional. The vehicle was towed to our Body Shop in Belleville, and we started a claim with her insurance company since they were unable to locate a claim filed by ****************. The vehicle was declared a Total Loss.It was an unfortunate situation but under no circumstances could we allow an unsafe vehicle to be driven by anyone, let alone someone with children.
