I visited Jiffy Lube on March 5th to get an oil change. They recommended that I also receive a fuel system cleaning service. My car was driving and starting fine before I received these services. The next following day my vehicle wouldnt start. I proceeded to take get my car towed to Jiffy Lube so they can fix the problem. Jiffy Lube told me that the problem was fix but the next following day my car wouldnt start again. Jiffy Lube assistant manager was willing to come to my place of residence to see what the problem is but couldnt find out what was going on. I then proceeded to get my vehicle towed to a mechanic I trusted. The mechanic told me that my engine was damaged and it needed to be replaced. I sent Jiffy Lube the report of my vehicle diagnostic test. Jiffy Lube wanted to take my car to their own mechanic and see what the problem could be. Their mechanic results were different from what my mechanic tested. Jiffy Lube mechanic found out that I needed spark plugs and a Val ******* Once their mechanic fixed what he thought what was wrong with my vehicle the next following day my vehicle didnt start. I then proceeded to take my vehicle to the dealership to get another diagnostic test. Once the dealership completed their diagnostic test I sent that information over to Jiffy Lube and havent heard back from them. This has been an ongoing situation for almost a month and nothing has been resolved. Im coming out of pocket paying for rentals with money I really dont have just to get back and forth to work. The store manager at Jiffy Lube has been horrible with communicating any updates. Im not allowed to speak with anyone managing that store. This situation has not been handled correctly and Ive tried to be patient and understanding but I feel like Jiffy Lube is trying to get out of fixing a problem they created.Initial Complaint

I took my 2017 Didge charger sxt to Jiffy Lube on Cassopolos St in ****************I provided the mobile one synthetic oil and filter. Jiffy lube changed my oil and replaced the filter. I drove home and parked the vehicle until the following morning when I drove to ******. *******. I spent the day there and returned home that same evening. Iwas leaving when my renter noticed I was leaking big spots of oil. When I returned home he told me about the drpping oil...I called my gf and she checked her driveway and t had an oil spot where my car was parked. I had been there two days prior to that and no oil spots from my ***** her driveway on that date. The mechanic at Jiffy lube said they couldn't tell wherevit was leaking, but that it was all over the bottom of the oil pan. He called his boss and the boss recommended that I take it to a mechanic and have them check it over. TThe mechanic where I took it said thatvJiffy Lube had overihhtened the filter. I have his written report that states it was tightened down way more than it should have been. That is what caused it to fail. JIFFY Lube states they didn't cause the problem and their claims department refuses to pay me for the repair I had to have done. It was $756.60. I paid that to have my car repaired. My car was not dripping oil on the ground when I brought my vehicle in for repair. It is evident that the next day oil was leaking from my car in my friends driveway. In addition I have the mechanics statement that it was over tightend when jiffy lube put on the new filter.Initial Complaint

I went in to Jiffy Lube on October 23rd, 2024 in order to get an oil change completed and my oil meter reset and filters cleaned while I there I was assured that I had been serviced correctly and I shouldnt have anymore problems however on December 2nd my car began sputtering and the engine had stopped working and it flashed on my dashboard of low oil pressure. How is that possible when I just had my oil changed? So when I went back up to the shop,where they were acting like they had no record of the car being serviced since January but they had the wrong car information and tried to pull the car engine when its never given me that problem before. Then I tired reaching out to the owners of the jiffy lube and they have yet to respond to my emails and are also acting as if I never got my car serviced there at all. I have been waiting for a response and they dont seem interested in resolving the issue.Initial Complaint

I got an oil change march 2024. I dont drive this particular car much but I keep up with maintenance. Its time for an oil change now, I went to a different auto shop and they told me they were unable to perform the service because my oil pan s**** has been stripped. I called jiffy lines customer ********************** who then emailed the owner. I received an email stating because I was past my warranty there was nothing they could do. I have to continue to drive around to other auto servicing centers to try to get help.Initial Complaint

Went to jiffylube in oakpark IL site #*** for an oil change. I have a 2013 *** ******* Was advised on other service. I agreed to a fuel injection service. After car was out of stall, it was parked outside area and a loud noise along with white smoke coming out of exhaust pipe was heard and seen by many who question what was that about. Referring to my car. Tech says oh, that the injection service being cleaned. I drove away after completion for about 20 minutes. My car start shaking making knocking noises and engine light warning starts blinking. I called and the tech says oh, don't worry it does that. It should stop the noise and blinking engine light within 15 minutes I drove back to site #*** and the tech opened the hood of car and says...your oil is on point. I don't know what that is. It sounds like your engine is bad and since you have a Kia ******* *** is serving recalls for your cars. They never checked to find an issue, just ignored me and returned to shop. One tech came back out and ask could I move car to the side so another customer could enter the stall I was in line for them to check. Also mentioned it's nothing they could do. They ignored me completely. I didn't know what to do. I drove car home praying it won't stop after acceleration was choking while the knocking continued, car threatening to stop on me. I parked it at home. Next morning of March 16, 2024 i called them again because my car was doing same thing, sounds, knocking, engine light blinking and the oil light on dash also blinks. Car cuts off. I waited a minute 3 times. Still cut off. The tech says we did nothing wrong. We are certified mechanics. You should get with ***. Never check to find issue. Left me standing alongside my car, walked away as if there was no concern. My car is on point for all my services. So are my recalls. Jiffy lube #*** site did not manage my vehicle. On 11/13/2022 I had my rear brakes and rotors replaced at Jiffy Lube located at ***************************** ******** **, ***** owned by ********* Enterprises **** On 10/12/2023 I heard a grinding coming from my left rear brake. I had recently moved to **** and took my 2018 ***** CRV to the ************ Jiffy Lube located on ***************** to assess the noise. They told me that my rear brakes had not been greased properly and the left brake caliper was not opening/closing properly and the rears brakes, rotors, and left caliper needed to be replaced. I was told that where I had the previous brakes done at Jiffy Lube owned by DeGeatano Enterprises *** was privately owned and not enrolled in the national warranty program with Jiffy Lube, therefore I would have to pay out of pocket to replace the rear brakes, rotors, and calipers less than 1 year since I had them replaced last. I called the national customer ********************** line and was told the same information. I had to pay out of pocket to order the parts and the cost of the Caliper was $160. 92. I was connected with **** from ********* Enterprises on 10/13 and he confirmed they would cover the cost of the brakes/rotors/calipers. on 10/15/23 the work was completed by the ************ Jiffy Lube. The check for the reimbursement for the cost of the caliper was incorrectly mailed to my ******** ** address where I no longer reside, and it took 4 months for DeGeatano Enterprises to confirm that despite being provided with the correct address multiple times and the entire reason I couldn't go back to the ********************* to have the work done, they are unresponsive and refuse to reissue the check and mail it to the correct address provided. I have had multiple calls, emails, and text messages looking to resolve this issue and they are unanswered or go weeks in between responses. I just want to be reimbursed for the rotor in the amount of $160.92.Initial Complaint

On 5/21/23, I visited the Jiffy Lube branch located at ************************************************** for a routine oil change service. As a loyal customer of ********************** Lube for several years, I have always trusted the professionalism and expertise of your technicians. Unfortunately, this experience has shattered that trust.During the visit, I requested a standard oil change for my 2021 Jeep Wrangler vehicle. Regrettably, it has come to my attention that the service performed on my car was done negligently. After the oil change, I noticed that my vehicle was experiencing unusual engine behavior from excessive oil consumption. Concerned, I decided to consult with my dealership because my vehicle did not display ****** miles on the engine.Upon inspection by the dealership mechanic on 7/27/23.it was discovered that my vehicle's engine had been flooded with excess oil, approximately one quart over the recommended capacity. This egregious oversight has led to severe engine damage, resulting in my car's engine to begin failing. The cost of repairs and rental car was a great hardship to me and my family. I was unable to afford the repairs and inconvenience without causing a significant financial burden to my family.Moreover, this unfortunate incident has caused immense inconvenience to my daily life, as I rely on my vehicle for commuting to work and attending to various personal responsibilities. Being without a functioning vehicle has disrupted my routine and added further stress to an already challenging situation.After speaking with manager **** he disclosed that my warranty was voided. I would like a copy of this warranty he is referring to. There was no way to bring the vehicle back to your location because I was afraid of being stranded. In August of 2022 I took my truck into this place for an oil change. They had to remove a shield underneath my truck to access the oil pan. After completion of the service the "under shield" was not properly installed and came undone while driving home that evening. After calling the business and explaining to them what happened, I was told that it was possible that I "ran over something in the road." which I guess dislodged this protector from my car. After I took my truck back to them to see why it wasn't correctly installed the under bay tech had to remove the shield due to the damage incurred while driving. The store then pretty much told me that it was nothing they can do. After pressing the issue and reaching out to the corporate office the Regional manager contacted me. I was told by him whose last four digits of his phone number are **** on 10.4.22 that I would be notified when they have my shield for it to be replaced, and I have heard nothing back from him or this business. I understand life and I too work in customer ********************** however its been 4 months and not ONE word and or follow up. On or about July 22,2022, I took my 2017 *** X3 into Jiffy Lube for an oil change. On 2/1/23 my vehicle completely shut down while I was driving. This act could have had great consequences on my life. I had my vehicle towed to ************ and was informed by **** in the service department that my vehicle shut down was caused by negligence on Jiffy Lubes part at the time of my oil change. I took my car for a change oil and after that when I was driving my car on expressway ************************************************* fire , we got so scared , my car was with no oil , everything dropped. I contact jiffy lube and they accept it was they fault ,they took my car to the shop and toldme I will get a rental car next day but surprise me because the manager told me sorry but your not gonna get anything and we see not gonna fix your car . It's almost 3 months and they don't give me my car back and didn't fixed for me is too hard been in the bus with my 3 kids every morning my kids have to wake up at 5 am to get on time to school is an hour away from home. I just one my car get fixed I'm not the only person whit the car damage at this location I read a review from another women but they erased. Please help me I really need my car back I don't have money to buy another car winter is coming and this place is not Profesional. The manager share my phone number with some men and this guy call me asking me for my car , because the manager of jiffylube told him I want to sell it , I don't know this person why the share my info. And why they don't fix my car if the did wrong . Please help help
