      Communication is CEFCU does not help their customers at all, they are worse than a bank. I had a mortgage with CEFCU and I first tried to get a second mortgage with them on the house which they said I didnt have enough equity in the house this was in 2018. That is fine, but then about 1 year later I was having problems keeping up with the house. After calling them they said they would work with me to doing a short sale, or other options, this was the last time I actually taked to a non-recording of a person until 2023. I would call on my lunch break, then they would call back when I was at work and leave messages. In this time I had to organize getting an inspector to my house for a house valuation or something, which the first person just didnt show up. So I had to call back, and they said that person didn't want to do it, they would have to get another one. The only reason I found out about this is by calling them, they didnt call me. The house valuation took over 8 months, and this was for a mortgage in-lieu of deed. After that, they ruled that i could sell it as a short sale, by letter... when I told them I couldn't sell it. After about another 2 months, They sent me another letter saying they would do a mortgage in-lieu of deed but I would still owe half of the mortgage, but that would just be straight unsecured debt, and they said this was the last they would talk to me about it, all through mail. After this I only received letters and lawyer stuff about foreclosure. I ended with me declaring bankruptcy, and CEFCU foreclosing, then canceling the foreclosure, then just leaving the property with a huge lein on it. So, if you ever get a mortgage, don't get it from CEFCU, they will make it a mission to not communicate, and make your already hard time even harder.

      I have been trying to have my CEFCU master card replaced for over a month. I have called the credit card people 7 times. The first three times, they said it would come in 7 days. No card. Then, a credit card associate finally admitted it was lost. He said it would be Fed exed. It wasn't. My most recent transaction said it would arrive last Wednesday. It didn't. I have been an excellent CEFCU member of over 40 years. Something is very wrong with the credit card department. I am removing my credit card business from them.

      They closed two of my checking accounts for their error. The first time was about a year ago. I had deposited money for bills. Thank God I saved the receipt. When I saw this account was closed I confronted them, they claimed no knowledge of any transactions or deposits and my account was over-drafted. Then I showed them the receipt and they treated it like it was just an oopsie moment. They offered to open a new checking account, which I did. I had savings and a checking account where money from savings would be transferred over for overdraft if I didn't catch it. On a Thursday, I noticed my accounts were frozen. I had just gone through major fraud charges and I just assumed something like that had happened to freeze the account. I called Cefcu and between being put on hold and the right people not being in till Monday, 5 days went by. On Monday, they fixed the freeze but had no idea why the account was closed and to go to a local branch. When I went to a local branch they said it was close to being overdrawn for too long. When I asked how because it is hooked up to my savings and there is plenty of money in savings and my account was on hold for 5 days only. The reply was that they could see how this was frustrating. After contacting a manager online with no response and a local manager with no response, I am disgusted with the lack of accountability and bad business practice, and poor customer service at Cefcu.

      I recently broke my ankle at work which makes it very difficult to go physically to the bank. I’ve called numerous times because the online mobile deposit refuses to take my checks. This has been a hardship for me trying to get there so I can pay my bills. Calling does not help they assure me that they have fixed the problem, but still continues to not work. Two months of dealing with this is forcing me to find another bank who can meet the needs Through this difficult time.

      I make alot of buys over the weekends for my business. IWeekends I can get better sale prices. CEFCU like to block alot of my transactions that cost me the sale price . You can not get ahold of there card services over the weekend. Bottom line. CEFCU stinks. And they never give good loan rates.

      I was able to obtain a loan for a vehicle through CEFCU during the the time I was working unfortunately that didn't long and I fell behind on my payments, I received a notice from CEFCU that I had 2 days to catch my loan up or the vehicle will be repossessed. I have numerous attempts to contact someone in collections but no one will return my call it's like they don't want to work with you, I fell if they would allow me to trade for something less expensive I wouldn't have any trouble meeting my obligations.

      I am giving a review regarding Cefcu applying a new debit card to an account that did not exist. When I tried to pay a bill, the card was declined, and when I addressed the bank for the fee that I was charged. I was advised that it was not their issue. I am wondering if it was not the bank's issue, then who issues it? CEFCU did not stand behind good customer service and refused to refund the fee I incurred due to their rep's mistake.

      Terrible. No one leaves notes so the next person knows why you are calling. I call and get in-accurate info. The online banking is not up to date at all. They hang up on you. They have you on hold forever. They charge FEE’s that they will not reverse, but ONE time no matter how long you have been a member. I will never ever use this place again once I am done and I do not recommend anyone to this “bank”. I have had the worst experience ever here and I can’t even sum it all up.
