This is about Oasis financial services and there fees. I tried to find out if they was license in pa I couldn't find them. I got funding from them in 2023 for my injury claim I just wanted a lump some of 2 or 3k so there would only be one payment I needed to pay. They approved me for 1k and told me in 30 days I could get another 1k I asked if that 1k was already approved they said yes I asked well why can't I just get it now that would be really all I need but I couldn't get said long story short I took out 4k total because I couldn't get everything I needed at once so it cost more. Instead of paying one fee that wouldn't be so high not unless it's on the amount you get but I got hit with the fees 4 times instead of once. How hi of a interest are they allowed to charge and is it legal in ************? Then they add some other fees that add up over 1k. I got all the paperwork from the loans I received I can send them to you if you need them. I prefer sending them in a response to your email if that would be ok it is easier that way for me this is what I sent to the Pa Attorney General oasis never responded. ***** forward complaint to *********** they have not gotten a response from oasis either. I'm trying in good faith to resolve this.Business Response

Oasis originally received Mr. ********* complaint in November 2024. Oasis has since offered to refund the upfront fees from his last three fundings, and waive the back-end fees from those same three fundings. As a result, he would only be responsible for the fees of one funding agreement, which should address his concerns tied to executing multiple funding agreements. The refund is in process and the back-end fees have been waived and communicated in response to Mr. ******** attorneys request for a payoff statement on February 11, 2025. Since we have provided Mr. ******* his requested relief, we consider this matter resolved.Customer Answer

I applied for a $3,000 loan via phone call with Oasis Financial on 2/3/2025. On their website it states it usually takes ***** hours for a decision. It's 2/13/2025, and I have not heard anything from them about a decision being made on my behalf. In the interim bills and rent is piling up. I have been contacting Oasis Financial daily, if I'm lucky I actually get to speak with an agent that tries to help me but it's out of their hands since it's ****** ******** job to collect the information from my attorney - all I can say is that my attorney and I haven't received a call back from him. She has been leaving voice messages for the past 3 days. We get better communication from the wall in my house. See the issue at the beginning is when the *** entered the name of my attorney in their system incorrectly (which I believe defaulted to the partner of the firm), but as a typical lazy ***, she did not correct that in system. I called to give them the correct information for my attorney last week and they still had the incorrect attorney information in the system. I don't have any clue how their hiring process is but I would gander by experience the people they hire is subpar in analytical thought/lazy, which is a deadly combination when trying to give adequate customer service. I requested for the past 2 days to speak with an supervisor and I have yet to receive call. I would say out of all my years of living on this Earth this has to be the WORST COMPANY to do business with. I can understand if I get denied but the lingering effect of the lack of communication is overwhelming. I usually never write complaints/reviews due to me having a very busy life but I had to write a complaint/review regarding the egregious business etiquette. I HONESTLY DON'T UNDERSTAND how they survived this long. All I can say it's probably based on customer's desperateness. I'm sure it'll take another 2 weeks to have an answer.Business Response

********* complains that he did not receive his funding within ***** hours of his initial contact with Oasis on 2/3/2025 and was not able to speak with someone regarding his concern. Oasis denies any wrongdoing with regard to ********* and his funding.
Oasis is in the business of providing fundings to consumers with pending personal injury claims. This allows these consumers financial security during the pendency of their claims. Unlike any other transaction, Oasis requires that the consumer be represented by an attorney who reviews the fees and charges with the consumer prior to any funds being disbursed. The consumers then contract and agree to pay Oasis a predetermined amount based on the amount of money originally funded to them by Oasis if, and only if, their legal claim results in a positive recovery for the consumer. In the State of *******, where Mr. ****** is a resident, Oasis provides its non-recourse funding to consumers via a Contingent Payment Agreement, through which the consumer makes a promise to pays funds later from their settlement proceeds in exchange for a funding from Oasis. Importantly, this transaction is not a loan.On February 3, 2025, Mr. ****** requested funding for the amount of $1,160.00. From February 6 through February 12 Oasis attempted to contact Mr. ******* attorney to confirm injuries and treatment and spoke with counsel on February 14, 2025. Mr. ****** and his attorney received a contingent payment agreement that same day, which both parties signed. The funding was sent out on February 14, 2025, to Mr. ****** via KyckGlobal.
Based on the fact that Mr. ****** received his funding on February 14, 2025, Oasis considers this matter closed.

I have an accident claim pending abd needed cash now to pay my bills so I seen that they were graded A+ so I decided that Id go through them to get this pre settlement loan so I was sent a contract showing me what would be disbursed to me along with fees listed so I agreed but when the money was dispursed it was less then the amount showing dispursed to me so I emailed them asking why was the amount less, I was told because the fees were taken ****** issue here is the way the contract is drawn up.i believe the dispursed amount showing should show the amount after the fees have been subtracted.of all other loan agreements that Ive had to sign the amount listed as dispersed has always been the exact amount deposited into my bank accountthis is the first time Ive dealt with a company that shows amount being dispersed before fees.a client wants to know the accuracy of amounts being shown on the contract after fees are taken out to decide if the contract is worth ********** for me its false information.i would like the difference to be deposited into my bank accountI signed a contract for 1100 not 1000Business Response

*********** complains that the contract she signed with Oasis Financial was misleading, and that she received less than the amount she originally requested. Oasis denies any wrongdoing with regards to *** ******** and her funding.
Importantly, this transaction is not a loan. Among many other factors, Oasis does not charge interest toward the consumer and the consumer does not have an absolute obligation to repay the funding. As with all Oasis fundings, the amounts *** ******** would receive and owe under each funding agreement is prominently and conspicuously disclosed.
On February 6, 2025, *** ******** requested funding and was approved. *** ******** received a contingent payment agreement, which contained a clear and conspicuous Contingent Payment Agreement page that explicitly broke down the total amount of funding, fees, and charges that would be assessed under the agreement, both at the time of funding and at the time of repayment. *********** contacted Oasis shortly after receiving the agreement, asking why she didnt get the amount that she asked for. It was explained to her and shortly thereafter,*** ******** signed the agreement, and the funding was sent out on February ****** to *** ********.
Based on the conversation between *** ******** and Oasis about the amount she would receive, as well as the clear disclosures within her funding agreement that broke down the amount of fees and charges, Oasis considers this matter closed.

I am rejecting this response because: I was not aware of the response being sent until to day and no I do not agree with the response from the business I have the documents show what amount was to be deposited into my account and later discovers that the amount shown in the document was in fact misleading I also do understand there are fees but it was the way the fees were shown in the contractthe fees shouid been deducted before showing the amount in the distributed section of the contract so that we the clients would know the exact amount that would be deposited.

Oasis regrets that Ms. ******** has rejected our response. The amount of funding she would receive and the fees that would be deducted from that amount were clearly disclosed to her prior to her execution of her funding agreement. Nevertheless, Oasis appreciates Ms. **************** feedback about its disclosures as it seeks to ensure its agreement is clear for its customers.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:The format should be more clear.i do see the fees on the contract but my issue isnt the contract or the fees its the format in which it says amount in funding..the amount shown in finding should be shown after the fees once again so we the client can decide if its worth taking out an early settlement.thats my issue thats what oasis doesnt seem to understand.ans because of this I would like to see them go from A+ to an F

******* ***** complains that Oasis Financial despite statements that it can provide consumer legal funding up to $100,000, she has not been approved for enough funding. She further complains about the charges associated with her fundings, and that they are for an amount she does not need. Oasis denies the allegations made by Ms. ***************************************************** is in the business of providing funding on a non-recourse basis to consumers with pending personal injury claims to allow these consumers financial security during the pendency of their claims. Unlike virtually any other transaction, Oasis requires that the consumer be represented by an attorney who reviews the fees and charges with the consumer prior to any funds being dispersed. Oasis then evaluates the applicants request for funding pursuant to its underwriting standards in order to determine whether to provide funding to a prospective consumer. Upon resolution of the consumers personal injury action and disbursement of funds therefrom, the consumer then pays the amount owed to Oasis pursuant to their funding agreement.
Response to ********************************* complaint that she was falsely advertised the amount of funding she could receive, that advertisement speaks to the maximum amount of funding Oasis Financial may provide. While Oasis Financial strives to provide needed funds to plaintiffs waiting for the settlement of their legal claim, we unfortunately cannot provide funding, or the amount of funding, for every request. Oasis Financial provided twelve legal fundings to Ms. ***** between May 2024 and January 2025, and has received another eleven requests for funding for which it had to deny. While Oasis cannot provide the exact amount of funding a complainant requests each time, it does provide as much as possible. Ms. ***** received funding every month (two months she received funding twice) since May 14, 2024, which was the date of her initial request.
As to the Ms. ****** complaint about being charged outrageous interest, in the State of ******, where Ms. ***** is a resident,Oasis provides its non-recourse funding to consumers via a Non-Recourse Purchase Agreement, through which the consumer sells an interest in a portion of their potential settlement award or judgment in exchange for a purchase amount paid to them by Oasis. Importantly, this transaction is not a loan.Among many other factors, Oasis does not charge interest toward the consumer and the consumer does not have an absolute obligation to repay the funding. Furthermore, the amounts Ms. ***** would owe under each funding agreement is prominently and conspicuously disclosed.Ms.****** complaint misstates significant facts, does not provide support for her allegations, and is otherwise without merit and should be closed. In light of the fact that Ms. ***** has continued to apply for funding since filing this complaint, we view this matter as resolved.

I am rejecting this response because: when I ask Everytime for the funds, to pay my ******* property taxes, also my power bill of 600 to 900 a month due to medical equipment, and needed power to maintain. My life. Also the fact that I had my home vandalized to the point of being homeless and couldn't live in my home and still can't because I need to find money to fix all the ********** in damages to my homes 2 of them , they stole my well which I needs ********* to have water on the property, I need ****** to pay a contractor to fix the problems and clear the damages and get the home liveable to have my children come home. I had to send my children to my parents to live because upon my leaving the hospital , I had to have 24 hours a day care givers. I couldn't walk talk shower shop cook wash or do anything I literally had to live at the mercy of someone else and have had to feel like an inconvienece.for a very long time to the people that I call parents whom are on a fixed income and honestly being an adult and I have been independent my entire life I don't like to have to depend on others. Here I am unable to get funding for my health appointments , my procedure i have had to cancel 3. Times I couldn't get funding to get to spend christmas or provide Christmas presents alone to my children whom Are away for the first time without me , after I was in a comma for 3 months. I had a neat death experience and have had to literally suffer myself through this time, I have just on the 24 th of January had my car impounded. I am literally living in that car and I M now living on the streets with a home that I can't live in and I have no where to go and nothing I can do because every dollar I get funded has gone to bills medical bills and medical needs, new clothes all my clothes were destroyed stolen or just not able to be worn. I had left the hospital with the clothes on my back and the flip flops on my feet. I had nothing and with the money I get it's a 1000 dollars at a time.. that doesn't even cover my power bills or any sort of ability to fix my problems it's barely enough. I however ask for the 30 thousand I need to get the well fixed. They give me ******/ of which I have to pay them back ******* on in 6 months and it goes up to another 57 hundred after another 6 months. When I get a 1000 $ it then goes up to ******* I owe immediately In 6 months. So 12 times of being funded at 1000 would equal 1700 for getting that 1000. 12So did the math ********. times the amount of money for one sum is going to be equal to ******** for the amount of charges for ******** and then the other way of ********/ at 1000=1700 12=******.00 in the amount owed in 6 months for the 12 seperate transactions..
So if you look at the outcome of that if you had given me 12 in one sum is only have to owe ****** on that amount but 12 seperate 1000 transactions is equaled to ****** there is a ******* dollar difference and that is obviously ridiculous when my case is VALUED AT ************* AS ATTACHED COPY OF THE COURT DOCUMENT IS FILED THAT I AM SUING.FOR. 17 MILLLION. HOW IS IT That you can tell me I can't qualify to receive atleast 15 thousand or 59 thousand and every time they just offer ******/ and 1000. To charge me almost twice when infact I have property taxes of 2800 due now, I have 900 in power bill past due, and I have missed several doctors appointments to get my bowels evaluated by the speciList because I need to get a bowel transplant immediately. I am disgusted that I need 35,000./0 to get the water working to live in my home And if also means I can have my kids home with their mom. How is it that it's not important to me and that's what the WAYS OF LIFE I LIVE IS HANDLED I HAVE ROUGHLY ABOUT ******/ IN MY BILLS A MONTHS ANS ******/ IN PROPERTY TAXES I OWE A YEAR AND THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I GET IS 1000 A MONTH. THAT IS DISRESPECTFUL OF A PERSON WHO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT CONFIRMED AND IS POSITIVE IS A VICTIM WITHOUT A DOUBT. I ALSO HAVE AN AGREEMENT FROM THE HOSPITAL AND I NEED ******/ NOW TODAY OR WE CAN KEEP ARGUING.I GO TO COURT ON THE 3 4 5 OF MARXH TO SETTLE MY CASE WITH THE ATTORNEYS THEY AGREED TO SETTLE OUT OF COURT BECAUSE THERE ARE ONLY 4 LIVING PEOPLE IN MY CASE LEFT. OUT OF 44 VICTIMS I AM THE 1ST VICTIM TO SETTLE THEIR CASE.ALOVE .. I EXPECT NEWS CAMERAS ETC. ID HATE TO EXPRESS ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF HARDSHIPS I HAVE PUT UP WITH WHEN YOUR NAME IS MENTIONED ON THEM BECAUSE FRANKLY YOU CANT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE WITH NO INCOME BECAUSE SOMEONE VIOLENTLY HARMED THEM AND THEYRE EXPECTING YOU TO KEEP YOU WORD AND YOUR ADVERTISEMENT STATES TO HELP WITH THE ABILITY TO LIVE LIFE UNTIL WELL THIS IS MY UNTIL AS OF TODAY FEB 5 I NEED AND I AM DEMANDING THE AMOUNT OF ****** BECAUSE I NEED TO GET TO MY CLURT TO SETTLE I HAVE HAD FO CANCEL MY DOCTORS APPOINTMENTS AT ************* AND AT OSHU FOR SURGICAL APPOINTMENTS AND I NEED TO GET THESE DONE ASAP. 3 TIMES I TRIE DFOR FUNDS TO GET THRRE ? 3 TIMES I WAISTED THE DOCTORS AND MY RIME. SO IF YOUR WILLINF TO HONOR YOUR ADVERTISEMENT OR WE CAN CONTINUE ON IN THIS Issue here and let them decide I can't get to court on my hopes and dreams I'm disabled completely I had tap water directed into my IV instead of my FENTINOL pain meds while I was helpless in a comma and the severe damages to my body brain and functionality make it hard to walk to ******* Oregon? Over 70. Miles..especially when I have lost half of my lung it's snowing and I'm also somupposed to be on my best foot forward I need 3 outfits to be presentable in the courts. And I also have to pay for a hotel for 5 days to be able to be there and be on time. I don't have the ability without my car at ******/ to get out now , my power is off at the home, because I can't pay my 900 bill?? Pacific power , and last but not least I need to get my medications and my food and my shampoo and hygiene as well I have the right to live and your offer was to get me through this and here you sit charging me 6500 over the amount of the acctual fees associated....and the fact that your charging me 6500 for something I asked one time to payment on and instead you do it over 12 months and charge me 4 times the amount and I got nothing accomplished so I need a contract for the ******.00 I need to get all my taxes and my medical records and receipts and my final documents and my estimated.from the contractor and everything done for the court case to go smoothly my attorney has been waiting for months to get these and I CANT PAY FOR THEM IN MY BLOOD OR WITH SMILES?? I NEEED YOU TO BE ABOUT WHAT YOU SAID YOU ARE ... I NEED FUNDING TO GET TO COURT TO GET MY S*** TOGEHTER SND TO ACCOMODATE MY STAY FOR YHR 5 DAYS I AM THERE SO IF YOU WILL AGREE TO THE CONTRACT AND NOT DISMISS THE MATTER ESPECIALLY WHEN THE OASIS FINANCIAL OFFERS UP TO ******* AND MY CASE IS ON FOR ************* MILLION. AND I BELIEVE I AM GOING TO FIND MYSELF GETTING THE AMOUNT CLOSE TO THAT AFTER ALL I ENDURED IN MY MATTER..OK IM ALSO VICTIM NUMBER 40.ON THE COURT DOCUMENTS AS DANI *********** IS AWAITING HER CHARGES ON THE MATTER . Oasis received Mr. ********** complaint and appreciates the opportunity to provide its response. Mr. ********* complains that he applied for a funding with Oasis, and when he went to retrieve the money, he was informed that an unauthorized person had already picked up the funds on April 8, 2024. He filed a police report and provided it to Oasis but claims he has not been given the missing funds.
Oasis is in the business of providing loans to consumers with pending personal injury claims to allow these consumers financial security during the pendency of their claims. Unlike any other transaction, Oasis requires that the consumer be represented by an attorney who reviews the fees and charges with the consumer prior to any funds being disbursed. The consumers then contract and agree to pay Oasis a predetermined amount based on the amount of money originally funded to them by Oasis if, and only if,their legal claim results in a positive recovery to the consumer. Preceding the Loan Agreement and Promissory Note, is a Funding Disbursement page, where customers like Mr. ********* provide an email address where a barcode is sent with payment information from **********, a vendor that facilitate funding disbursements. The consumer then would go to an authorized pick-up location, provide the barcode, which is scanned, show proper photo identification, and funds are provided directly to the consumer. Funds cannot be released to anyone except a person with proper identification and the scannable barcode.
Mr. ********* applied for funding on April 4, 2024, in the amount of $3,000. In the Funding Disbursement Page for the related Loan Agreement, Mr. ********* requested he be paid through ********** and provided his email address. Mr. ********** email address was updated multiple times during the funding process, but on April 11, 2024, his email address was updated to his corrected email and his funding was made available for pickup approximately an hour later. A barcode was provided to Mr. ********** email address, where he could take the information to ******* or any in-store location that advertises KyckGlobal, and once he provided his photo id and the barcode in the KyckGlobal email, he would receive his money. Mr. ********* filed a police report with the *********************************** on April 17, 2024 (13 days after the incident took place). In reviewing Mr. ********** files and investigating this complaint, Oasis contacted *******, and they confirmed that they confirmed Mr. ********** identity, confirmed that he was the person who received these loans and provided a pickup receipt. Mr. ********* made two further loan requests on April 11, 2024, in the amount of $3000.00 and again on April 15, 2024, in the amount of $7,500.00, with no issues or concerns regarding picking up his money. Mr. ********* also used the same email address for these fundings for his KyckGlobal payment barcode.
Based upon the information provided to Oasis, we have no reason to believe it was anyone but Mr. ********* that used the KyckGlobal barcode and picked up his money at the ******* location. Mr. ********* specifically provided his email information related to that transaction and has successfully used this email for other transactions. An investigation conducted by ******* concluded Mr. ********* picked up the funds from their location with proof of his identity and the KyckGlobal barcode. For these reasons, we dont believe Mr.********** complaint has merit.Initial Complaint

On January 8, 2025 I contacted Oasis in regards to a Settlement Loan for the amount of $1500.00. On January 9, 2025 I received notification that my case was approved. Oasis sent me the contact and I was approved for $2000.00; an amount slightly higher than I requested. I signed the contract and awaited an answer over the weekend as to when the funds were going to be available for pickup. To my surprise, I then received a call on Monday that the amount has been reduced to $500.00. An amount less than what I needed but I signed an updated contact for the new amount. Shortly after signing the updated contact I was informed that the loan was denied altogether with no explanation as to why it was denied. This inconsistent and confusing communication has caused me significant inconvenience and frustration. I was looking forward to a valued and positive experience but instead I am disappointed by this experience. I am requesting a detailed explanation of why my loan application was ultimately denied, in a way I feel this is a violation of the **** and the **** as to any financial institution must provide a reason for any loan denial. I would appreciate any assistance the BBB can provide in resolving this matter.Business Response

Oasis Financial regrets Mr. ****** was not able to receive his requested amount of funding, but we deny any wrongdoing. First, as a matter of clarification, Mr. ****** is mistaken in stating that the funding he applied for is a loan - it is not, instead our product is a non-recourse pre-settlement funding under which Oasis purchases a portion of a consumer's potential settlement proceeds. As to Mr. ******** funding, he applied for pre-settlement funding with Oasis Financial on January 9, 2025, and was initially approved for $2,160.00 based on the information provided by ********* and his attorney. However, as his funding moved through our underwriting and final approval process, it was determined that Oasis Financial could not provide Mr. ************** requested funding. This was explained to Mr. ****** via phone on January 13, 2025.
Oasis Financial does regret being unable to assist ********* at this time. If there are changes or updates to the consumers case in the future, Oasis will be glad to review the consumers application again at that time. In light of that, we believe this matter to be resolved.Initial Complaint

I was approved for a loan for *******. Signed the loan documents. My attorney signed documents as well only for then to come back and deny the loan. I spoke with a supervisor that only further contradicted the process. I felt this was very misleading and poorly addressed. Ms.****** complaint is that she was approved for funding in the amount of $3,000.00, that she and her attorney signed the necessary documents, but was then denied funding. When she called Oasis Financial (Oasis) to discuss, she was misled, and her concern was poorly addressed. Ms. ***** wants Oasis to provide an explanation for her concerns. Oasis denies any wrongdoing with regards to ******** and her funding.
On November 5, 2024, Ms. ***** requested funding in the amount of $3,000.00. Oasis spoke with her attorney about the plaintiffs injuries and treatment on November 6, 2024, and the plaintiff was approved for $3,220.00. Ms. ***** and her attorney were sent a non-recourse purchase agreement, which was fully executed. However, Oasis soon learned that Ms. ***** had an existing assignment for her settlement proceed, which would have been a breach of her funding agreement. This was not mentioned by either Ms. ***** or her attorney during her initial request.
Oasis followed up with both Ms. ****** attorney and the other funding company, which confirmed a current payoff in the amount of $13,513.50. On November 7, 2024, Oasis spoke with Ms. ***** and explained that the funding was declined because the buyout of her prior funding was too high. Ms. ***** asked to speak with a supervisor, who also explained the reason for the denial.
Even though Ms. ***** did not disclose her prior funding with another company, Oasis did speak with Ms. ***** on November 7, 2024, and attempted to explain the reason behind the denial of her funding. **************** executed a nonrecourse purchase agreement with Oasis, which provided **************** with clear disclosures on the amount that would be paid to her upon execution of her agreement, and what she would owe Oasis upon the resolution of her legal claim. Oasis understands that not everything goes as expected, however; if **************** would like to request a reduction, she should have her attorney contact Oasis to discuss further.Initial Complaint

************* complaint is that he received a loan in the amount of $1,000 from Oasis Financial, that he paid the loan back in three money order payments to cover the requested amount, and that Oasis Financial took the amount owed directly from his personal bank account to pay the loan back early. Oasis denies any wrongdoing with regards to ************ and his funding.
************ is incorrect to the facts of his complaint. ************ executed one loan agreement in the amount of $1,000.00. On April 29, 2022, ************ contacted Oasis stating that his case had not yet settled but he wanted to pay the loan. A payoff letter was created and sent to ************ via email. Four days later, on May 3,2024, Oasis received a check from his attorneys firm in the amount of $1,026.30, in satisfaction of the loan agreement. On May 4th,payment confirmation was sent to ************ and his attorney.
The total amount received by Oasis on behalf of ************ is limited to the $1,026.30 received on May 3, 2024. Oasis has not received any other funds from ************ in repayment of his loan and does not have the ability to withdraw funds from any of his accounts. ********************** denies that it received any additional payment from ************ or took the amount owed directly from ************** bank account. ************ has not provided proof of the money orders he made to pay off his loan.
Since payment was received by his attorney in the full amount, and ************** case was closed, we believe this matter to be resolved.Initial Complaint
