I received a letter from this company in the mail soon after buying a new car telling me I needed to call them urgently to activate my extended warranty plan. I was worried because I thought this was a legitimate mail from the dealership stating I was lacking coverage until I called. They asked me to pay to activate the coverage and I became skeptical. It turns out tons of other people get these letters with this urgent message. Very deceptive sales tactic that exploits the vulnerable.Sky Auto Protection Response

Our company's goal is to provide valuable and reliable services to consumers. The offer you received from Sky Auto Protection is a promotional campaign to assist consumers who may be interested in activating an optional vehicle service agreement that covers mechanical and electrical breakdowns. We will have you removed from future mailings.Review from Madone P

I also received several letters from this Co stating I needed to call them so my Car protection can start, I was getting the pinkish color letter this time. I called them and asked what they're trying to pull with these letters and scams for car protection for a 3 month old car. I blocked their number and reported themSky Auto Protection Response

Sky Protection is a marketer of vehicle service contract providers. You received a marketing solicitation offering you the opportunity to purchase a vehicle service contract. Offers are typically made to consumers who recently purchased a vehicle in the event the dealership did not offer you the option to purchase one. If interested, you the consumer, can choose to inquire regarding the offer, or you can simply discard it. We have requested our sales team remove you from their mailing list.Review from Jazmyn M

I received a letter from this company not long after the purchase of a new vehicle. The letter very much implies I have a preexisting agreement with the company for a service contract. THIS IS FRAUD. I have reported the contact to the ***'s fraud department, although I don't expect any real resolution, I gave no permission for this company to contact me, nor did I at any time provide information to this company. Their practices are fraudulent and everyone should be made aware they are scammers.Sky Auto Protection Response

VERY DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING - They will claim they state on their letter that they are not affiliated with any dealership. While true, most will need a magnifying glass to read it. This should be in BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS at the top of the page. In reading the other reviews, it sounds like you are screwed if you give them your info. Also, BBB should associate the overt name this company puts on its letters, "SP- Activation Services". I could not find them here but asked for their full name when I called the number on the letter. They told me ********, so then I found them on BBB with numbers complaints and very bad reviews. Underhanded and unethical. Do you think they'll find away to deny any claim you may have to send in if you purchase this garbage?YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!Sky Auto Protection Response

I have reviewed the sales calls, and our records indicate you called our office on October 5, 2024, regarding an offer to set up a vehicle service agreement, which would provide coverage beyond the manufacturer's warranty. During this call, our representative reviewed the benefits and associated costs of the coverage, clearly explaining the costs associated with the service agreement would be $197.48 debited by *** and recurring for the first year and a half and expiring November 5, 2029, or until the odometer reads, ******* miles, whichever occurred first. This disclaimer was said twice during the call. The customer ********************** representative also advised you would have 30 days to review the coverage and cancel if you were not ************ no point during the conversation, did you mention having purchased a service agreement with any other company. Also, Sky Protection would not have the ability of knowing that if you had. I see that on November 5, 2024, you called to cancel the coverage, and our representative honored this request and cancelled out the policy. Please let me know if I can assist any further in this matter.Review from Allison H

I kept getting these notices in the mail that I needed to pay a ****** activation fee for my warranty. I assumed (stupidly) that this had something to do with the warranty I purchased at the dealership. I called and activated it and they told me it was a one time fee. Now they tried to charge my card recurring, for 18 months! These people are sneaky!!! I dont even know how they got my name and information. I asked for a full refund and that I was not interested in their services. They would not refund the original payment. This whole business model is very confusing and I am sure they prey on innocent people!!Sky Auto Protection Response

Sky Protection is a marketer of vehicle service contracts through third party service contract companies. The Solicitation specifically discloses to you the consumer, that Sky Protection is not affiliated with any dealer or manufacturer. You received the solicitation in the event you chose not to activate a service agreement through the dealer you purchased the vehicle from. On September 19th, Sky Protections customer ********************** team member fielded your call and activated coverage at your request. During the call, the team member disclosed on two occasions the fee for the contract was recurring for the first 18 months. The first disclosure occurred at the time of the offer, with the second after you provided your credit card information to draft your account. Both disclosures advised payments would be recurring for the first 18 months of the 60-month coverage term. We understand consumers may change their mind. On October 30th you contacted the company, and the contract was voided at your request. We have removed you from future mailings.Review from Aurelien L
