I received a letter in the mail from them, for a car that I dont even have anymore, because it was a lease from 5 years ago. When I called them, they asked for the coverage ID number that was in the letter. Due to many people I know being victims of scams, I did not give them any identifying information. The guy proceeds to argue with me about why it doesnt make sense that I wouldnt give them an ID number that came from them. I argued back that no identifying information should be given over the phone, especially if the potential customer doesnt even know if the company is valid. He went back and forth with me, trying to convince me that my argument was invalid, and my hesitation to engage with them made no sense. I explained again that they seem fake. He said if I give him my name, I can be taken off of the list, and I told him, Im not giving any of my info over the phone and that I could just go on one of the websites that helps your public information to be removed, so that scam companies like SP Activation Services, dont have access to you. He Continues to try and invalidate my argument. He states that there is no way another company would be able to have access to their database, and take my name off of their list. I told him that huge, major companies like *** have even been hacked before! Did he really think that a hacker or another company for that matter, could never have access to his companys database? A database of information that they likely paid for, or obtained through a barely legal loophole. I guess he really thought I was dumb, because the number of people on Reddit as well as BBB, who claim that this company has weird business practices, only reaffirms my initial thought. He asked me to not call them again :D I dont feel bad that I took up his time or flustered him, because if it means that I prevented him from signing an old lady up for coverage that she doesnt need, using barely legal business practices, Im ok with that!

If I could give 0 stars, How should I describe my introduction to Sky Auto Protection? I think to myself if anyone has used the words "horrendous" or "unethical". After receiving no more than 5 misleading mailers, I called the number provided and spoke to ********. It appears that this company is nothing short of a complete scam. Their mailers were written so alarmingly that I thought there was an issue with the service my new vehicle had just undergone. During the call with ********, she told me that paying for a booklet for $188 could get me coverage for ******* miles. She didn't bother to mention that this was a monthly payment, only revealing it when I asked. The numbers she discussed made no sense. I inquired whether this had anything to do with my warranty through the dealership and asked how she got my information. The information I received was vague and misleading, which honestly set me back. What happened to ethical business practices and honest, non-misleading marketing methods? I did not know companies were still scraping and purchasing data to generate sales leads in this format. I wonder how many people fall for this each year. I am glad I recorded the conversation on my end. How does the business owner fall asleep at night? STAY AWAY.

Thank you for your feedback. Sky Protection is a marketer of vehicle service contracts for third party service contract companies. The solicitation specifically discloses to you, the consumer, that Sky Protection is not affiliated with any dealer or manufacturer. After listening to the call, ******** clearly explained on three separate occasions the $188.36 was recurring for the first two years, the remaining 3 years would be at not additional costs. When you asked if this service agreement was through ******* she clearly said no, its through Sky Protection. Please note, we do not have the capability of knowing if any consumer has previously purchased a service agreement with any other *********** Protection provides a valued service to thousands of satisfied customers across the nation.

Sky Auto Protection is a big scam. I called them and discussed with the agent reputation of their company. The agent was polite and attempted to dissuade my concerns by stating their impeccable ************************************************************************************************* Sky being identified as a scam. Bottom line, I asked to be removed from their mailing list. The agent stated that they did. The deception was in disguising the pink letter I received to appear urgent with an immediate response necessary in order to maintain coverage. VERY deceptive and unprofessional.

I received 6 letters from this company claiming to be urgent and making it seem like it is a required service. I knew immediately it was a scam and ignored the letters for awhile until the sixth letter. my recommendation is to call the number and demand to be removed from the mailing list. I also informed them that I would seek legal action if they contacted me again. I implore everyone to do the same thing. This business is a scam and there are entire forums decided to people who paid for this service and never got the coverage they paid for when it was needed. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS ........

I received a letter from this company in the mail soon after buying a new car telling me I needed to call them urgently to activate my extended warranty plan. I was worried because I thought this was a legitimate mail from the dealership stating I was lacking coverage until I called. They asked me to pay to activate the coverage and I became skeptical. It turns out tons of other people get these letters with this urgent message. Very deceptive sales tactic that exploits the vulnerable.
