I have been trying to cancel my account multiple times with eco-shield. I spent hours on the phone and talk to multiple people and last month they said my account was canceled. Now they are saying my account is not canceled and I agreed to a discount which that never happened. It is very frustrating this seems like a scamma company. If they continue to harass me and say I have an account and try to make service I will *** them.I need my account closed and an email verifying that.

I signed a 2 year contract ($169 a quarter) upon someone soliciting my home (my mistake). I have a baby and I was getting ants in my house who were biting my daughter as she was crawling around the house. I hired EcoShield who guaranteed me that they would resolve the issue. Unknowingly, I was contracting with them regardless of whether or not their products worked. After 1 year of service and continued promises that I just needed to wait to let the products work, I still had an ant problem and as matter of fact, my problem at becoming worse. I called EcoSheild customer service multiple times complaining and wanting to cancel the contract and they kept telling me that instead, they would send someone out for an additional free services to try and fix the problem, otherwise, I would have to pay a cancellation fee. Months of this went on and finally, I had enough. I called to cancel. I was already paying $169 a quarter for product that was doing nothing for the ant and spider issue I had, and now they wanted me to pay $150 more to cancel the useless contract 2 quarters early. I had to pay EcoShield to stop coming to my house even when their products didn't work. After refusing to pay and a customer service rep informing me that she understood and would request to eliminate the $150 fee, a debt collector started calling me over the $150 a couple of months later.I am furious. I just ended up paying the $150 to move on, but I will never recommend their service to anyone again and I will never do business with them again. EcoSheild needs to have their contract reviewed for legality reasons. There must be a termination for ineffective treatments included. Terribly company, terribly service, terribly customer service, and teethy contracts that will cost customers dearly because they have to continue service regardless of whether or not the company's treatments are successful.

I had signed up for service with EcoShield around 8/20/21 and signed a one year contract with them and I have paid them $300 to date. One of the services that was supposed to be provided was de-webbing the entire exterior of my house. They serviced my residence on 8/21, 9/22 and 10/26 approx. All three times they failed to remove all of the webs and I had to call them back out every time to reperform this work. The third time on 10/26 they told me to take pictures of the remaining webs and they checked with their tech who claimed he removed all of the webs. At this time I told them I wanted to cancel all services since they didn't believe me and they told me I'd have to pay a $150 cancellation fee which I refused. Then they said they could resend a tech to take care of my problems but I declined again since they basically told me I wasn't telling them the truth. I had to argue with the representative on the phone to finally cancel my account. I told them if they waived the cancellation fee i wouldn't try to recover the $300 I had already given them even though they hadn't fulfilled their end of the agreement and they wouldn't agree to this. They ended up sending my account to collections where it still is now.

Hi ****, we want to apologize for the billing error on our end. The balance should have been waived back in December, since we weren't able to take care of the spider webs. We have credited your account for the $150 that was sent to ARM solutions collections agency. Please give them **** business days to update the balance. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

They keep charging for services that are not being performed and refuse to cancel without charging a fee. Have not once completed a full service. Have filed false reports stating that the services have been completed when they havent.

Hi *******, we reviewed your account notes and found that we missed the backyard treatment on the 9/27/21 quarterly visit, so we scheduled a free follow up on 10/13/21. What part of the services do you feel you haven't been receiving? We would love to correct the possible mistake, if you provide us with some feedback. Hope to hear from you soon.

On July 29, 2021 a sales person for (eco) Shield pest solutions went through our newly constructed neighborhood telling us about neighbors that have bought their service. They used neighbors full names/addresses & told us they bought the service. When we asked those neighbors they said they did not & were upset their personal information was being used like that. My wife signed a "contract" that stated what to expect & then at the bottom it stated that "should I cancel before the contract is up, I agree to pay back the initial service discount" The "contract" is for 12 months and nowhere on it does it state what the discounted price was.We paid the initial service of $175 which was a outdoor mouse trap and cleaning of cobwebs as best we could tell.I looked to cancel & on 8/10/21 I finally reached someone to have our information removed & cancel the service. The **** was for $150 and while i agree we should pay something, nowhere did it tell us a price until the ****

We are sorry to hear that our services were not retained and that we were unable to fulfill the annual agreement. The initial service was discounted from $329 to $179 with a $150 discount, that discount is asked for in return if the agreement isn't fulfilled. Of course, we would rather resolve any concerns or issues causing you to want to cancel to being with, but it looks like you authorized our customer service rep to pay the discount chargeback already.

I am rejecting this response because: we only paid because of constant badgering and threats to turn us over to collections. When we tried to contact anyone to resolve or try to resolve we continued to reach call centers that could not help or get us to anyone that could. The number given lead to a sorry voicemail is full message. We feel there really was no reasonable way to resolve or dispute the amount nor get an actual written descriptor what the savings actually were. We simply paid as that was the only recourse we felt we had as we cannot afford to have a bad credit report due to this frustrating experience.

I would accept a refund of half of what we paid due to the difficulties and threatening behavior of this company. $75 refund would satisfy us on our end. We agree something should be paid but not the full amount at this point.

      Sincerely,

On August 19, 2021, a technician from EcoShield Pest Control Chicago, LLC came to my door selling pest control service. We had a gnat problem and had called EcoShield a few days earlier to see if they could treat for gnats. We were told they could not. I told this to the technician and he said that was incorrect--they could treat for gnats. I agreed to go ahead with the service. A week after the service, our gnat problem had not improved. I called EcoShield and the rep confirmed their service DOES NOT work on gnats. I said the technician had misrepresented the service to me and the only reason I signed up was to get rid of the gnats. I told her I wanted to cancel service. She apologized, told me she would cancel the service and agreed to waive repayment of the discount I got. I then got an email telling me I still owed $150. I spoke to another rep who again said they would waive the discount. I continue to receive non-stop emails harassing me for $150 that I DO NOT owe.

Hi ********, we want to sincerely apologize for the possible miscommunication regarding gnats. The service agreement you signed on includes a list of pests covered within the agreement, w**** gnats are not covered (ie. guaranteed) there are some things we can do to alleviate the pressure you were experiencing. Due to the experience, we will go ahead and waive the $150 initial discount chargeback. Please let us know if you have other any questions, or concerns.
