In December 2023 Parks Plumbing and Sewer, *** was contracted to install a overhead sewer system to prevent flooding. As this property experienced flooding in July 2023. After installing the system on March 15, 2024, Parks Plumbing and Sewer, *** is demanding that I pay in full amount without bringing their electrical work up to code. After the Village of ******** regarded their electrical work as unacceptable and they did not pass the electrical inspection. As a part of their pre-assessment Parks sent their electrician to evaluate what was needed. When the Parks electrician assessment determined no other modifications to the electrical panel was needed.. They did not mention any other requirements verbally or in writing. They indicated the could connect to the flood control. The installation could proceed. After completion of the work, an electrical inspection by ******** Parks was failed. Parks was required make their work come into compliance with current electrical codes as they had run electrical wires through my home. Im concerned that the sudden reversal in stance and refusal to comply with necessary corrections cast doubt on their integrity viability of the entire project. Rather than acknowledging the necessity of adhering to regulations for the safety and effectiveness of the sewer system, Parks Sewer brazenly demanded full payment without addressing the identified issues. Their demand was accompanied by an additional cost of $4800, purportedly to cover the expenses of the required electrical corrections. Also, Parks refusal to make electrical adjustments, which they are responsible for, would result in disqualification for reimbursement from the ******** Whats required and needed: (1)Electrical codes corrected (no additional cost), (2)a clean electrical inspection(a pass)(3) to sign-off on the Village of ******** reimbursement as the Contractor and (4) receipt for payment for the contracted amount ********** $12030 Paid $5000
