In early March I contacted ****** Unit Auto to possibly have my 1964 C10 ***** truck restored. I went to establishment and spoke with the owner ****** regarding my truck getting body work done, painted, engine bay cleaned and painted, and frame rust proofed and painted. The truck was towed to his business the end of March once price was agreed on. We decided that I would have engine bay done and frame done first and once that was done, I would tow to mechanic to have LS engine put in and programmed as well as any work dealing with the operation of truck. Well, what should have taken two weeks as told by owner took four months, which meant I missed several appointments with mechanic due to ******'s dishonesty. Once the frame and engine bay were completed, I had towed to my home due to having to wait until September for next appointment with mechanic. Once getting truck home I was pleased with engine bay, but the frame was not done at all. The rust proofing was not completed, nor the back of frame was painted as agreed on. I informed ****** of the horrible work, and he told me he thought his employee completed it and that when it's brought back it would be addressed. What type of owner would let that type of work done without checking it, unless he runs a scam business. my starter which was new was also taken and replaced with a starter that was not the correct starter for my truck. When the engine bay was done all parts had to be removed and some parts were mysteriously missing or switched out for old parts. How dishonest is that which I will file a report with the ******************************** He is a dishonest business owner and should be reported so this doesn't happen to anyone else. I have found out since this experience he has done this to several customers to the point they had to take their classic vehicle and have totally redone by someone else. We also paid ******* for the horrible work that was done.
