I looked up ecm repair online and found *** so I gave them a call and asked if they could repair my ecm they replied yes send it in and gave me instructions on how to. 2 weeks pass I call sia and a female answered and verified they received my ecm asked me what issues it was having then they said we will call you when its done. 2 months pass and I have heard zero from this company I call and they respond by saying we will call you back and they dontInitial Complaint

I had a problem with my 1993 corvette after doing some research I found out that the *** could be the problem not having a way to test the *** I contacted SIA by phone and asked them if they had a way to test the ***. They said they could if I sent it to them they would test it and let me know if failed. Instead when they received my *** they proceeded to repair it without confirming that it needed to be repaired. When I got it back from SIA and reinstalled it, I still had the same exact problem that I had before. Upon further research and after speaking with a mechanic, we determined that the problem was not the *** but the distributor. I feel I've been charged for work that was not necessary since they never determined that the *** was bad to begin with. Their response to this was simply "This is what we do to all ***s from corvettes"I was lied to and I want my money back and will take it to small claims court if necessary.Initial Complaint

This company has had 2 ECMs for 2 weeks. I confirmed they received them on May 14th. At the time they told me they would be calling me back in a couple of days. They did not. I waited 10 more days and called again yesterday, May 28th. I was told that I would receive a call back by the end of the day. I did not. I called again today and was told that they "have no control" over their website" that promises a 1 to 2 day turn around. I was also told that "the tech that handles those units was out due to some sort of family emergency" and there was nothing they could do. The woman I spoke to actually said "I don't know why you are so irritated!" She then hung up on me. I need the units repaird.Business response

Hello,I am asking for a refund of ****** by SIA Electronics because I sent an automotive part for them to repair on February 23, 2024, and they send it back to me damaged and not working. The part is an engine control module (***). When I called SIA to let them know the *** was not working, they told me a technician would call me back but they never did. I sent the *** to another shop to fix it, and they told me the *** was not repairable and I had to purchase a new one from them for *******. I have included the email and receipts showing that the *** was damaged and that I had to purchase a new one.Customer response

Context of the Dispute:The following is a chronological order of all the requests, emails, estimates, and invoices we have had regarding the services you provide:On July 22, 2023, we sent 8 computers for diagnostics and repair ********* ***** with *** waybill number 1Z135NNT0332178629.On July 27, 2023, you sent us two estimates number ****** reporting the repair cost of 4 units (3 repairable and 1 non-repairable) $229 each and $35 for the return of the non-repairable unit for a total of $722 and another estimate number ****** reporting the cost of the other 4 units at the cost of $229 each for a total of $916.On August 14, 2023, we paid estimate ****** (invoice 713436T) for $722 (3 repaired units and the shipment of another non-repairable unit), pending payment of estimate ****** for the other 4 units.On August 18, 2023, we received the 4 units with *** waybill number 1Z79E6610364151445, 3 units repaired and leaving us with 1 unit not repairable. Of the 3 repaired units 2 of them were damaged. The 2 damaged units were sent back to your company.On September 25, 2023, we paid 2 units of the 4 units corresponding to the estimate ****** for $229 each for a total of $458 with payment reference ******** invoice 714840T (invoice that we never received to our email).On September 28, 2023, we received 4 units of which 2 are the ones we paid for and referenced in item 5 and the other 2 units corresponding to the warranty of the defective units explained in item 4 and returned (of these 4 units received 2 units were defective).After talking on the phone with the technicians of your company, We sent on January 10, 2024, with *** waybill 1Z37TY5Z0332915226 a total of 6 units (2 units of return indicated in point 6, 2 units under warranty indicated in point 4 and 2 units of spare parts for you because they never found the fault and we thought it could be useful.Since January 10, 2024, when you received the units, we have not heard from you, telling us what happened to the 4 units that are still in your possession and we expect them to be returned and repaired. Resolve Attempts:We have insisted on several occasions by phone with Ms. ****** and Ms. ***** (I think it is the name of her She works in the claims department) and they always tell us that they will call us.To remedy the situation, We are demanding that you take the following steps:Check with your personnel all the information above.We want you to honor the word and the "lifetime warranty" you offer, therefore we demand the following:To send the 4 repaired units that are paid.Or refund the amount of $916 for 4 units under warranty.Business response

Hw never spoke to Ms ****** or Ms ***** because I don't know who they are they certainly don't work here. As for the $450.00 payment his part did not ship because his Credit Card failed and he never gave us another. I have 7 repaired parts here that he ask to have repaired but doesn't care to pay for these parts totaling $1370.49. He does have warranties here only because he does not know how to program the parts he is trying to program these to Hybrid and it wont work which is more time he has waisted for me.

Is quite weird you don't know the people you work with ( I attached the screenshot with the email from ******************* however you know what case we are talking about, no payment was failure as you can see in the attchment we paid total $1180 for estimate ****** (invoice 713436T) ($722) and $458 for partial payment of Estimate ****** (Invoice 714840T), we did not pay the rest because your repair wasn't succesfull so at this point we just demand what is fair, send us back 4 unit repaired or refund the money.

I called The business earlier and talked to ********. She instructed that I email **** and *****. I also submitted a contact form on their website and have yet to receive a response. Very much not pleased about this issue. I sent in a FICM to be repaired and I'm glad I took a picture of it because after 2 weeks from when I sent it in They called saying it couldn't be repaired and charged me for return shipping. Few weeks later I get it back and put it on the shelf. I recently opened it up to see if someone else could fix it and come to find They sent me back a completely different board. It's obvious from the corrosion and condition as well as the markings and stickers they are different. I expect a resolution to this in the form of a good working unit to replace this garbage they sent me, If I dont get a that resolution I will escalate.Initial Complaint

Please ship your module to SIA Electronics to be repaired. Please include a note stating your name, phone number, return shipping address, and a short description of the problem you are experiencing with the module. I found advestiment concerning repairs to 2001 **** f350 PCM/ECM along with my IDM both are electronic parts. I called SIA Electronic tech on 09/07/2023. the tech to send my electronic parts into them so they could test and checked. The average time for parts are 3-12 days. Then your parts will be tested and either repair are sent back to you un-repaired. On 9/11/2023 I shipped my electronic parts to them by *** tracking. That same date (09/11/23) I went the ***, they confirm my package tracking # 1ZW9614W0363816353 (PCM/ECM) this package arrived at ******************************************* Electronic, at 09/11/2023. On 09/13/2023 I spoke to SIA tech lady stated they had not received any parts from me. On 09/ 18-22/2023 called SIA electronic spoke to a lady tech, she stated no parts had arrived from me. On 09/26/2023 contacted SIA for me to be told no parts. On 10/03/2023 contacted SIA tech ***** advising me, stated that my package had been received. SIA Tech has not work on them yet, give them a few days. On 10/03/2023 I again called SIA Electronic to check the status of my parts no answer. On 10/09/2023 recalled SIA Electronic checking on the status a tech lady answered stating they do not show any parts for me. I must have sent them somewhere else. On 10/12/2023 I called SIA electronic to check the status of mine parts, again told they do have them. On 10/13/2023 I called spoke SIA tech she advised me to parts could not be fixed, The cost is $35.00 paid over the phone for my returning PCM/ECM parts. On 10/19/23 I have not received my parts back . 5I'm asking for my parts back to me. It is my believe after talking with several electronic repair location. That these electronic components are being stolen / taken out of innocent customers PCM/ECM, then resold on the internet for a higher price. Because **** Company is not making 1998-2003 Diesel PCM and components parts in *******. These parts are golden as far as price, are very hard to find in *******.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
Yes I received part of my order "**M component" from "SIA Electronic" on Monday 10/30/2023. I waited for a few days thinking that they would send the remaining electronic PCM/ECM electronic component (**** main computer) back to me. My Vin # (#*****************) is hand written on the outer case. Plus the ** # DPP 422 - **************, listed on the actual PCM/ECM, from my 2001 **** f350 7.3 Powerstroke computer . The internal component does not have any listed identification numbers. I would still like my PCM/ECM returned so I can get it fixed or exchange it for another one. It is my true believe that "SIA Electronic" is stealing or taking the electronic boards out of customers PCM/ECM who send their in to be repaired. Then reselling them online to other new customers. Most locations are asking for your old PCM/ECM in exchange, if not the cost doubles for a rebuild PCM/ECM.Sincerely,

On August 10, 2023 I contacted SIA Electronics at telephone number ###-###-#### and asked about repair of my Ford Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with part number ****** from a Ford Triton V10 6.8L engine. Their representative told me to ship it to the address listed on their website. I shipped on 8/11/.2023 and Fedex confirmed that it was delivered to SIA Electronics on 8/15/2023 with receipt signed by LREID. I called SIA Electronics on 8/20/2023 and was told that status of the acceptance and repair would not be available until after five business days passed . After five business days status by email and phone call would be made available. On 8/28/2023 I had not received any information by email or by phone call from SIA Electronics. Repeated phone calls to the numbers listed on their website (###-###-#### & ###-###-####) are automatically answered then passed through to a live company agent. The agent is rung, but a machine answers with a statement that the person I am calling is not available. I need to know of any problems with schedule or repair of my Ford PCM, and if the company cannot process the Ford PCM then I need to arrange for return of the unit to my home office address. The tech which would normally look at this had a medical occurrence on the 22 and is to be released to work on the 6th od Sept. I have another tech looking at it today he will do the best he can. This company advertised 1 to 2 business day turn around on ecm repair. Called on 4/11/23 ecm was relieved 3/26/23. 11 business days later item is not repaired. Was told by phone its a 14 business day turn around and the website was not correct. Am frustrated this is a bait and switch tactic, nothing I can do to get my item back. Bad business practice.
