      This company is completely unprofessional. When I called to discuss my debt the representative talked to me as-if I owed him the money personally, he was smug, with an nasty attitude, then he threatened me saying "you have to pay this debt or else". Also theres an issue every time I try to access the website. I want to pay them especially since I was threatened by the bully representative.

      This is a formal complaint against RMS-RECOVERY MANAGEMENT located in ***********, **. This company has repeatedly violated my consumer rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and has caused me much unnecessary financial AND mental distress. For starters, they're reporting an erroneous & unverifiable collection account on all 3 of my credit reports, and not to mention an account in which I've asked for proof of claim and in which they have refused to validate per my request under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Despite my efforts to resolve this unfortunate nightmare for nearly a year now, RMS-RECOVERY MANAGEMENT has completely ignored my communications and legal submissions to remove this inaccurate information from my credit reports. I am well aware of the many, many other complaints filed against this company for their illegal and unethical collection practices - disguising themselves under multiple business names and using ILLEGAL collection practices all across the country. Yet, somehow, this company is still in business. This company's unprofessional & negligent behavior has caused lots of serious harm, not only to my ability to establish credit & good interest rates, but also to my character as a Professional and as an individual. Please help me, and the many other consumers just like me, to put a stop to the operation of these unethical & immoral business practices immediately. I sincerely appreciate your time and assistance in this matter and hope to hear from you very soon. As previously stated, this collection company is reporting erroneous, derogatory information about me to all three major ************************* which is killing my credit & my Professional image. They've refused to send any proof of their claim because they have none since this account has never even existed. Therefore, my only wish is to have them permanently remove the account they're reporting about me from the 3 major credit bureaus.

      I have a student debt with **************** that was turned over to collections to ***. According to ****************, I have to pay a certain amount of this debt in order to qualify for another course with financial aid. After receiving a letter from ***, I accessed their web site and submitted a $10.00 payment from my GO2 bank card. My intent is to pay an amount every month on the 1st. since I am on SSI disability. My first payment went out on the 29th of October. My GO2 card ***** that only one payment of $10.00 was processed since I only loaded enough money on the card to process the payment. However, the *** web site shoed that two payments were processed for $10.00 each on 10/29/2022 and a $10.00 payment was returned on 11/03/2022. I received a letter from *** on 11/08/2022 that the payment was returned but nothing was reflected on my bank card. The only transactions posted on my bank card was the initial cash deposit of $20.00 on 10/28/2022 and the $10.60 payment on 11/01/2022. .60 cents is charged per transaction. Only one payment was made for this debt. I spoke with a representative of *** on 11/08/2022 and he informed me that two payments had been processed. I told him that my account only showed one payment was processed. I also informed the individual that *** website authorizes customers to process one time payments each month. According to the *** individual, *** does not recognize the paument process as legally binding and refused to investigate the matter. Their web site contradicts what their collection process actually is and the people in charge of the web site collection page should be aware of that as well as having their personnel trained. According to my bank account, there must be a clich in *** on line payment process. Please investigate so that I can resolve this issue. I plan to continue making $10.00 per month payments on this account every month on my terms according to *** web site. Thank You.

      *** is refusing to send me information on an alleged debt owed. I have requested a validation of debt on many occasions. I was told that they will not send out a letter, because they already did. I explained that I did not receive a validation of debt letter. *** refuses to speak to me about it or send me a letter containing a validation of debt signed by the origial creditor. I am disputing all alleged debt that is owed until RMS send proof. This is my 2nd complaint to the BBB about RMS.

I am alleging that a person or company - without my authorization- used my personal identifying information to apply for goods, services, or money; and was successful in creating this account. This debt collector is in violation for putting this unknown account on my credit report. This has caused me to suffer and its defamation of my character.Moving forward I would like you to stop reporting to all credit reporting agencies that I owe any amount to your company. Remove all false debts from my reports ASAP. I will also like your company to mail me via postal mail all the changes have been made or attempted to be made within 10 days of this complaint. I demand to be compensated as well for pain and suffering.

      I am being harassed and my safety is being threatened by Recovery Management Services. I have requested to not be contacted- and yet I am still receiving calls and emails and mail. They have not tried to help me resolve this issue. They hang up on me mid sentence and threaten to write and report illegal activities on my credit report and account without my consent. This company has also not proved or confirmed this debt is mine- so therefore I'm assuming they've disclosed my information to other individuals, which is highly illegal. I do not feel safe being in contact with this business. My safety is being threatened. They are very unprofessional and disrespectful. They have threatened me with illegal activities. For reference, please request the recorded call by *************************** on 12/28/21 at 2:36pm for reference to this statement.

      I am rejecting this response because: Every single time your business has contacted me, you have harassed me, threatened me with illegal activities, and threatened safety. The one time I did answer your call to have a conversation, I was threatened with illegal activities by *************************** (BBB- please request the recorded line from 12/29/21 at 2:36 pm at the number ************ for further evidence) and was hung up on mid sentence. You are very unprofessional and very disrespectfull. I clearly stated above that I requested to NOT be in contact with you because you are harassing me and threatening my safety. Your response goes directly against what I stated previously. The outcome of this situation should be a change to my credit report and no further contact with your business.
