            BBB promotes truth in advertising by contacting advertisers whose claims conflict with the BBB Code of Advertising. These claims may come to our attention from our internal review of advertising, consumer complaints and competitor challenges. BBB asks advertisers to prove their claims, change ads to make offers more clear to consumers, and remove misleading or deceptive statements.
             

            On 04/12/2023, BBB contacted the business regarding their advertised products on their website. The business advertised a price comparison with slashed pricing without disclosing what the comparison is based on as required by BBB’s Code of Advertising.

            On 4/17/2023 the business responded that the website was corrected, after review the COA was not address for every product with a price comparison issue. The price needs to be defined. Is it regular price, retail or our price?

            On 4/20/2023 the business stated the website host Shopify is not allowing these kinds of edits and tried to work with us regarding how to correct the issue. 

            On 4/21/20233 the business stated that then pricing on their website that was edited "Retail price $127.00 Final Sale". The BBB asked the business to address section 6 of BBB’s Code of Advertising seen here.

            As of 5/4/2023 the business has not responded to our last request, and was contact again to allow time to address.

            I have purchased multiple of these curling irons. But in March I purchased the latest one and around June or July, the rotating mechanism stopped working. They say that their product is warrantied for one year so I called them to get a replacement. I went through multiple times of calling them to get the replacement sent. They said I first had to return the one I have. I told them I would return it after I received the replacement because I still needed a way to do my hair. The first ****** agreed that they would do that and I would send mine back immediately upon receiving the new one. I never got a confirmation email so I called back and the next ****** said no they would not do it. I told them that I have had about four or five of their curling irons and they have all broken but this is the first time I am calling in to get a replacement on any of them. we emailed back-and-forth for a little while trying to get it sorted out and finally they just stopped answering my emails. I want either a refund or a replacement sent out. Their customer service is horrible and apparently so is their product.

            I like the way the beachwaver curls hair HOWEVER I had to buy about 4 in the last 2 years because they always break. These aren't cheap either. I got my last one in February and it broke a few weeks ago. The button to rotate it broke. Which is one of the main things that keeps breaking (besides the pins that hold the clamp on coming out also). Their customer service is horrible. They want to give you the runaround and make you send your curling iron in and once they receive it and process it, then they say they will send out another one. But that does you no good if you need to style your hair in the meantime. Spoke with a rep who told me they would make an exception and send out the new one and then, once I receive it, they would allow me to send back the damaged one, but the next ****** I talked to when I asked where it was, told me they would not honor that.
