I currently have a GAP claim and it has been opened since April 15th, 2023. My car has been totaled since March 29 and I also received a letter stating the claim was received from allied solutions. The current adjuster has stated she has not received the document for approximately 2 weeks and I continue having to pay for rental cars week after week and can not get approved for another loan until GAP has claimed their portion. GEICO and the extended warranty has already paid out their portion of the claim. I did not believe the process would take this long and I am still liable for the monthly payment regarding the car.

Thank you for the opportunity to provide a response to Mr. ****** inquiry regarding Guaranteed Asset Protection (***). Allied Solutions, LLC (Allied) is the administrator and claims adjuster for *** sold through financial institutions to borrowers in conjunction with financing the purchase of a vehicle. In the event the vehicle is a total loss, *** waives the difference between the amount of the insurance pay off on the vehicle and the remaining loan amount. Here, our records indicate that we received the documents to file the claim on April 14,2023 and paid out the *** claim on April 26, 2023. This turnaround time is within our claim processing guidelines. At this point we consider this matter fully resolved.

We have GAP insurance with this company, We filed a claim on 12/2022 apparently we was assigned a claims adjuster but never heard from her. I called the company several times a few times I was hung up on when I asked when will this claim get processed. We are still paying on the gap insurance and the car note for that matter and the vehicle has been totaled out by the insurance company. This is truly unacceptable. I need to file a complaint have someone reach out to this company because the last time I checked I should not be paying for insurance on a car that I do have anymore.

Thank you for the opportunity to provide a response to Mr. ******** inquiry regarding Guaranteed Asset Protection (***). Allied Solutions, LLC (Allied) is the provider authorized to handle the total loss claim for the lender who held the security interest to Mr. ******** totaled vehicle. As part of this process we also file the *** claim on the vehicle. Our records indicate that we received the documents to file the claim on January 12, 2023. Unfortunately, due to an internal error, we were delayed in processing the claim. But we were able to pay out the *** claim on April 19, 2023. At this time, the lender should have received the *** payment to be applied to the outstanding balance of Mr.******** loan with the lender. At this point we consider this matter fully resolved.

Date of transaction is roughly jan 12 2023. I was involved in a motor vehicular accident which at the time I had collision protection insurance on my vehicle Thru Allied solutions. Now Im not sure if its just due to the type of insurance company that they are m, maybe they dont feel like the customer deserves an update or any communication at all. I have been calling this company night and day trying to get an update on my claim. After 1 week of my car being in the shop they finally mark my vehicle as totaled. (Which the damamge was not that bad so I did think that was weird as well) so a week after that is when they give me the total payout amount. Not never telling me one single time that I am obligated to pay storage costs for where my car is before my claim could be paid out. So here we are almost 3 months later and my car has been sitting 5 minutes away from me racking up charges over 3k. This was NEVER made clear to me. So now I am stuck here a single mom with no vehicle for the last few months waiting for allied. I strongly feel that they need to imported the way they communicate with clients. This is sad. Very sad. It is soooo hard to get anybody on the phone. Let alone a return call. I have even reached out to my lender to see if there is anything that can be done. I have been emailing and trying to reach ***************************** for a while. Nobody likes to return calls or emails. I just need some assistance with a 4k storage bill that should not be my responsibility!!

I got a car with U.S Auto Sales and I signed up for gap insurance on top of having the car fully insured. The car caught on fire 12/30/22 so my insurance deemed it as a total loss. I owed a little over $20,000 on the car, insurance paid almost $14,000. My insurance company contacted the total loss department with Allied Solutions. So roughly theres about $6,000 left to pay, I have YET to hear anything from them. I called to find out they closed the case but i was never contacted. I had to call them and they have been giving me the run around. They loan is just sitting on my credit like an open loan that I havent been paying on. I just dont understand the point of the whole gap insurance and everybody I talk to cant give me any answers as to if I have anything left to pay or is it going to be paid off by gap. No email, settlement, nothing in the mail, no communication at all unless I call them.

I received a letter stating that, per the terms of my mortgage, I needed to provide proof of my homeowner's insurance. My reference ID was ******************, and the letter directed me to upload my policy documents at myinsuranceinfo.com, which is run by Allied Solutions. No problem--on January 10th, 2022, I uploaded my policy documents on the website, entered some additional information manually as required by the website, and received an email confirmation that my submission was under review. On January 12th, 2022, I received an email stating that my submission wasn't sufficient and that I needed to call to provide more information. I called the number provided. The telephone tree kept suggesting that I use the website, even though the email I received stated I needed to call their phone number. I was on hold for several minutes (even though their system said my estimated wait time was 1 minute). When I finally got through to their customer service representative, she had no clue--zero--why my original submission was rejected. She said "it" expired on January 3, but couldn't tell me what "it" was. "It" was definitely not my policy, as I explained my policy goes through mid-December 2023. I couldn't tell if she was looking at my actual online submission as we spoke, or just notes about it. I admit I was quite rude on the phone (apologies for that), as I was annoyed that I had to sit on hold, the employee couldn't tell me what was wrong with my original submission, and then wanted me to verbally provide the same information I had already submitted online on January 10th. At the very least she could have done more research into why my Jan 10th submission was rejected, instead of ignoring my questions and starting the whole data entry process over again. Did my January 10th submission go into a black hole? Shouldn't the information I provided--including the information I entered manually--exist somewhere that the customer service representative can see?

Allied can confirm that the policy documentation you submitted has been received and confirmed adequate to comply with your lender's requirements.  We do apologize for the confusion in this process. A system issue led to the erroneous automated communication you received advising that the policy documentation was inadequate.  The issue has been corrected, and no further information is needed from you.

Resolved incorrect VIN for vehicle with U1 ************ and USAA. ALLIED SOLUTIONS cancelled the collateral insurance on August 6. At that time told ***** days to reolve. Have called back twice now and still no resolution. I had U1 on phone with Allied solution and they transfered us back to U1. I called back and asked for supervisor. In previous calls they said it was their error and this supervisor has confirmed. Needing them to send checks to U1 for $5204 x2 and $2167 since policy cancelled. U1 has asked for checks or ACH. U1 REPRESENTATIVE HAS said they get same run around as well. Dont have CPI documents just notes

After reviewing **************' account in our system, it was determined that a process was missed when handling the cancellation of the aged CPI on his account, which led to the lack of refund being processed and remitted to his lender, the insured party. This issue has been resolved, and the refund was processed on 9/28/22; we do not have a way to process a refund to an individual, as the insurance product was purchased and paid for by the lender. We anticipate those funds being received by Universal 1 CU by the end of this week, which can then be applied to **************' account.  We do apologize for this delay and the concern it has caused ***************  We are reviewing our internal procedures to ensure any needed updates are made and trained on should this specific situation occur in the future.

Complaint Details THIS COMPANY GTE HIREED CALLED ALLIED SOLUTIONS (they are committing insurance fraud on many level) I was told by Gte and allied solutions that allied operate under several different names(scam)They refused to give the jacket I purchased a 2022 ******* tuscon from gte in march of 2022! At the time of purchase I called geico to add the vehicle to my policy and told them it was financed! ***** apparently COVERED the vehicle but only with liability which i only found out today. Gte and their collateral protection team added $5629 worth of insurance on September 1! When i. Call to dispute it they reduce it to $2000 saying they are back dating it they never had the vehicle covered and if they did i was unaware. If they want to charge me $2000 I need them to reimburse me from march 2022- September 1 2022 of the amount i paid to geico to cover the vehicle during that span! I will not be charged in a double dip manner! This is not my fault, and geico screwed this up, and GTE screwed this up i sent them the initial insurance documents and i never heard back from them, then trying to charge me. Adding to my loan is unacceptable if you want to do that since you covered the vehicle in that time span! I need to see a ledger of the purchase of cpi on that particular date! And since we both purchased insurance in march which i can prove I need reimbursement for me covering the vehicle and i need proof via actual certified ledger that this was actually purchased on that date .. I will not double pay! Under no circumstances You can make sure I have the correct coverage but you cant charge me for something that was .. the vehicle was covered even tho it was liability so you will reimburse me my full payments i made to geico for past 6 months on the tuscon.. I NEED FULL REFUND RESOLUTION I NEED A FULL CREDIT/ REFUND OF $5629 IMMEDIATELY CREDITED TO MY ACCOUNT AS A AGENT ALREADY WENT IN AND MADE SURE THE CORRECT COVERAGE IS ON VEHICLE

    RE: Complaint ID ********

    **************,

Allied Solutions, LLC (Allied) provides insurance tracking and force-placed insurance to financial institutions.  Under the terms of a Service Agreement with a lender, when the collateral securing a loan is determined to be inadequately insured, Allied will force place ******************************* (***) on the vehicle to protect the lenders interest.  The terms of Ms. ****** loan with her lender, GTE Financial, require that comprehensive and collision coverage be in force on the vehicle for the term of the loan, and allow them to purchase insurance coverage to protect their interest for any period she did not maintain required coverage and charge her for it. We are including an insurance tracking account history below to confirm what occurred, and applicable dates of *** coverage purchased by GTE Financial.

4/23/22 Text Notification sent to Ms. ****** cell phone number provided by GTE Financial requesting insurance documentation.
6/6/22 1st notice mailed to ************** at her address on file with GTE Financial requested insurance documentation.
6/18/22 Text Notification sent to Ms. ****** cell phone number provided by GTE Financial requesting insurance documentation.
7/5/22 2nd notice mailed to ************** advising if proof of insurance was not received, insurance will be purchased by GTE Financial effective 4/11/22 in the amount of $5,629.
8/1/22 *** purchase notice mailed to ************** advising coverage from 4/11/22-4/11/23 was obtained by GTE Financial, and they intended to charge that cost to her.
8/17/22 Allied received Geico policy ********** information through effective 5/11/22.
8/20/22 Allied verified policy ********** on Geico website and received response stating comprehensive and collision were not carried and to contact the customer to have them add the required coverages.
9/7/22 Inbound call from GTE Financial and Borrower. Allied verified on Geico website comprehensive and collision effective 8/27/22.  ************** stated she should have had coverage when she purchased the vehicle.
9/7/22 Allied partially canceled *** effective 8/27/22 based on that date being when comprehensive and collision coverage were added for the vehicle on the Geico policy.
9/10/22 Partial cancellation notice mailed to ************** advising *** was canceled effective 8/27/22 and the applicable premium refund associated with the partial cancellation.
9/12/22 Allied received Geico policy ********** showing a partial policy attached with an endorsement effective date 9/8/22.
9/13/22 Inbound call from GTE Financial.  Allied called Geico and verified comprehensive and collision were removed 4/13/22 and added back on 9/8/22
9/19/22 Inbound call from ************** requesting a copy of the letters sent to her.
9/19/22 I Inbound call from ************** requesting a copy of the letters sent to her.  Allied submitted the request for processing.
9/19/22 Inbound call from GTE Financial. Allied provided lapse dates on file based on information provided by ******
9/21/22 Allied mailed all notices to the ***************
9/22/22 Allied contacted ***** and confirmed that that the vehicle was added to the policy, but comprehensive and collision were removed from 4/13/22 to 9/8/22. No further refund was due, as the *** had been cancelled 11 days prior to the actual date when comprehensive and collision was added back for the vehicle.

    *** Certificate: MQK0594955 4/11/22-4/11/23
8/31/22 *** was paid for by GTE Financial in the amount of $5,629
    9/7/22 Allied canceled *** effective 8/27/22
9/16/22 A refund was issued to GTE Financial in the amount of $3,151. Coverage is still in force 4/11/22 through 8/26/22 with a premium cost of $2,478.

Should ************** provide proof of both comprehensive and collision coverage on her vehicle for the identified lapse period of 4/11/22 to 8/26/22, the *** would fully cancel, and further refund would be provided to her lender.  The liability only coverage ************** was maintaining on the vehicle did not comply with the terms of her loan, which is why GTE purchased *** to protect their interest in the vehicle and charged her for it. For any detailed accounting or ledger information, ************** will need to speak with her lender, GTE Financial.  GTE Financial is also the appropriate party for ************** to work with in regard to a demand for refunds of *** costs.  Allied does not handle any charging of *** premiums to individual consumers, only to insured lender clients, so we have no ability to effectuate her request.  In regard to the alleged error by your carrier, *****, we would suggest that she continue to work with them to address this issue.

    Respectfully,

    Allied Solutions, LLC

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]i need full refund! I asked for the coverage binder from allied sevaeral ***** they have failed to produce it, i also spoke with gte and the two have some very conflicting arguments and numbers and reasoning.. im also in process of contacting the national credit union association and the and the insurance agency that governs insurance fraud.. as I believe this company allied solutions as committed insurance fraud, the numbers does not add up, also i never received any notice from them as they claim in these three dated letters!! I received no letters! I was on deployment as i have sent that information to gte because they asked for it but even on return i did not see any mail, no calls no emails geico want to review this for coverage they placed for authenticity because geico will have repay me fir coverage of those months nevertheless i want my refund from this allied solution they are ripping me off and its clear this is a money grab scheme same like a collection agency tactic, to take advantage of poor innocent people and expect no push back, i want this company investigated and i will continue thus fight until my account is refunded there are some discrepancies such as they did not have comp and collision and they really added coverage on july 30th and illegally backdated it to april 11th, this already is insurance fraud

    Business Response

Since our insured party is GTE Financial, and they paid the premium bill, we are unable to cancel coverage without their request and/or approval when an identified lapse of coverage is in place.  With that being said, GTE Financial requested that this CPI they purchased on the collateral be fully cancelled, which was processed by Allied on 10/3. Notice of this further cancellation will come via **** to the address on file for ************** within the next **** days.  She should discuss anything related to the charges on her account with GTE Financial.  Allied has no information or control over how charges are handled with individual consumers.
