They are a complete scam. Leased 2 different properties from them and land owners. The first one had no deer and my trail cameras had been stolen. Called the guy that deals with this area and he almost made me feel like I had done something wrong! ********* owner contacted me once and accused me of telling the farmer that leases the feilds I was going to kill him and turns out it was another property he leased out and never bothered to get the facts before he came to me. Then the second property was 300 acres in northern NY ******** to be exact and I had awful problems. The farmers family member was upset and continued to **** it after I leased and the farmer just laughed. Called basecamp and they basically did the same. Then the fallowing spring I headed over to ****** **** mid morning and a guy comes walking across the field. I intercepted him to ask him what he was doing and he tells me the land owner gave him permission and specifically said( Just don't **** if my truck was parked there! 3500 dollars I paid and that's what I get from that POS. I confronted the land owner and his only response was ( I've been meaning to tell you that I am not going to lease it again) I was obviously pretty ****** and reached out to base camp to file a formal complaint and they did absolutely nothing. If anyone thinks that base camp is looking out for the leasing party, they are out of their mind. They lease s*** property that is way over priced and then do nothing for them when they have issues. This company is making a fortune basically scamming people. It comes down to that if a property is any good it's probably leased already by someone that is going to continue to do so year after year. Stay away from these crooks.

****, thanks for your review. Thank you for you review on the leases you were listed as an additional hunter on from 2016 and 2017. Base Camp Leasing's policy is to deal directly with the primary lease holder who on our records show paid for each of these leases. Any issues that may have come to light during 2016 and 2017 would have been directly handled between the primary lease holder and the landowner as they are the two that executed the lease agreement. In regards to your claims I would like to clarify that Base Camp Leasing does not control the actions of others in the field. If someone was trespassing during the time of the lease, the primary lease hold does have the right to pursue trespassing charges with the local law enforcement. We also encourage our hunters to report any stolen property to local law enforcement as we do not specialize in investigations of this sort. I am sorry you have been carrying around this type of anger and disappointment with Base Camp Leasing for the last 8 years.

These people are doing nothing but raising the price for hunting leases. I really don't understand why any landowner would want to deal with them, all they do is collect the money, the landowner is still responsible for everything else. This is a very sleazy company and I would never do business with them.

In 25 years of doing business, we have provided over $80MM dollars to landowners who opened up their properties to leasing the hunting rights.  Landowners know the value of their property and yes, in the past some landowners have incurred the liability of allowing hunters to **** with them for free or below market value outside of our program.  Our company supplies a $5 million liability policy free of charge to the landowner to overcome that obstacle, giving them peace of mind.  As far as the pricing, it is our fellow hunters who are setting the market through what they are willing to pay for the hunting rights to landowners.  Base Camp Leasing is proud to be part of the solution of making sure more and more access is opened up for hunting.  Without our company many landowners would not be comfortable taking on the liability, tracking down payments from hunters, and they deserve to be paid top dollar for their landownership.  This is clearly evident in the fact that more and more landowners find us to take on that service for them and we are proud to lead the way in this industry.

Nothing but good things to say about Base Camp Leasing. Not everyone knows someone or has a family member who owns land with quality hunting habitat. That's why I use Base Camp Leasing to find some of the best hunting ground. It's a professional company that also gives you that small-town customer service. Hunters should be grateful for companies like BCL who are convincing landowners to let us **** rather than turning it into housing developments, commercial structures, or whatever else that could permanently destroy the land. Thanks, Base Camp Leasing.

Base Camp Leasing provides zero customer support. This is a pump and dump ********************** company. I spent $4100 on 150 acres that has some real issues with dogs running wild that belong to the neighbors of the property. Tried to get help from both the leasing agent and the regional manager (who was very arrogant when I spoke to him) but all they told me was not our problem. Told me its on me to contact law enforcement, which I did. Still getting dogs on trail cameras everyday after contact was made with the dog owners. I reached back out to Base Camp Leasing requesting a prorated refund and have yet to get a response, and its been almost a full week. This company does nothing but advertise to landowners about making them money. There is no concern for quality when it comes to their customers, the hunters. They will be real quick to point out how many properties they manage and how they cant help you once you give them your money.
