I purchased a 2014 ***** equinox from them on April 13 2022, car was sold with no warranty as it was used. The problem being, even with no warranty and supposably all their vehicles are serviced, the said vehicle died June ******* to which my mechanic.determined the motor needed replaced along with the cateletic convertor which was melted and not a.recent.melt. My mechanic.felt.this probably caused the motor to fail. I have placed several calls to the dealership and informed them of the.problems with the assurance that they would get the message to the boss to see what they could do for me. Calls go unanswered, emails and voice mails go unanswered. This is the second time I have dealt with them and once again I feel they took advantage. If the vehicle had been examined by them they certainly were aware of the problems to come. On top of having to borrow money to get the vehicle I now have to borrow even more money (in the amount upto $3000) to get it fixed. At least have the decency to return. My calls Maybe stand. Behind the vehicle and 50% of the repair cost. Just saying Vehicle currently at ***************** ************

Upon speaking with you, it was determined that after approximately 2 months of ownership, your vehicle broke down at a retail store nearby the dealership. Instead of towing it to the dealership at which you purchased the 2014 Chevrolet Equinox from, you had the vehicle towed to a shop approximately 35 miles away. It is company policy to not pay another shop to do work we could save you an abundant amount of money on in our own service department. However, in light of the fact that you called in multiple times and you did not receive a return call from the Management team nor the sales staff, we are willing to alter this normal policy. The owner of Big City Cars, it's management team, and sales staff apologize greatly for the poor treatment you received on this matter. We do not do business this way. We did get pictures from your makeshift mechanic shop and the catalytic converter was not melted. It was clearly heated above factory specs to operate properly, but definitely not melted. Unfortunately your timing chain broke on the vehicle, which was in proper working order at time of purchase. At time of purchase you were offered an extended service contract to protect the powertrain and additional components on the vehicle, to which you signed declining this offer for purchase. The timing chain would have been fully covered under this vehicle service contract policy purchase. Being this was a poor customer service experience on our part, for which we are deeply sorry for, we would be willing to give you a check in the amount of $1500.00 to assist in the cost of repairs needed. We greatly appreciate your business and hope to better serve you in the future in our service department or with the purchase of you next vehicle.

I purchased a 2009 Chev Traverse in April 2022 from ************* in *************** for $6500.00. The engine had no oil in it so I got an oil change within the first week of owning it. The salesman said he'd reimburse me but never did. The transmission started leaking and I filled it with fluid but it leaked out faster than I could keep it filled up. The salesman said the tires were good when in fact they all need replaced. I drove the vehicle for approximately 3 weeks until it died on me on Mother's Day and I had to have it towed where it has been sitting undriveable for 2 months now. The salesperson misrepresented the vehicle just to make a sale. It needs control arms, ball joints, struts, bad wiring as well a new transmission and tires. The $6500 was all I had to purchase a car. I have 3 children and no mode of transportation.

Prior to your signing to purchase the 2009 Chevrolet Traverse, you requested a list of vehicles in your specific price range. All the the vehicles in your price range were scheduled to sell wholesale at auction and were only offered to the public for a retail sale under the as-is, as shown status, as was posted on the window of the vehicle. It was also posted on the window encouraging all buyers to obtain a 3rd party inspection by a source of your own choosing. You test drove the vehicle and did not take it to have a 3rd party inspection. The vehicle was definitely not out of oil. All vehicles sold wholesale at auction or retail at the dealership, have fluids checked, changed, or refilled as needed. The transmission was in proper working order upon delivery of the vehicle. While signing all required documents to purchase a vehicle, you were offered a vehicle service contract to insure the powertrain of the vehicle and you signed to decline additional coverage. You agreed to purchase the vehicle as-is and proceeded to sign the purchase agreement to that effect. The dealership has fulfilled it's obligations as per the agreement signed.
