      Breck's provide wrong shipping time estimates. The ship by freight liner over the ocean from Holland. They advertise 3-4 weeks for shipping time. Realistically, it is 7-9 weeks. By then most of the bulbs or plants you ordered wii be dead, or it will be too late to plant. They will not take responsibilities at all. Stay away from this company.

      Delayed returning money to my account when an order is canceled. They said it takes several days for them to return your money on cancellations.Then, they do not reply to inquiries when they are late.Also, they have terrible shipping and packing of bare root plants- they throw your order in a plastic bag, slap on some postage, and on its way it goes to be knocked around while in transit with no packing material to cushion the plants or prevent trauma while in transit that you pay for..Terrible company.

      Horrible company. I will never order from them again. They ship items in the wrong season, then say they will replace the plants if they don't grow, but you can't get them to just reship an order. They give you credit, but not for the shipping or tax. Then they start billing you for all kinds of charges even when you use your credits. It has been a horrible experience with them. And if I was to order from them it would only be bulbs, their other plants are microscopic.

      I ordered over $500 of tulip bulbs back in October, shipping date kept being moved around but it still showed they were all shipping. I checked maybe a day or two ago and it said batched for shipping. I checked today and the majority of my items are not in my order anymore. I chatted customer service to see if they shipped (because I did pay for all of these items already). They said now they are out of stock and will not be shipping. How is something I already paid for over a month ago now "out of stock". Had they let me know a month ago almost everything was not going to ship then I could've ordered from somewhere else but this is New Enlgand and my time to plant was already cutting it close with them delaying the shipping until almost December.

      I must recommend that one avoid doing business with this company. Not only were they unable to fulfill a simple order, they did not respond to inquiry. On the other hand, they were very diligent in bombarding my inbox with promotional emails. It was a waste of time and money.

      Just be aware the Breck's is passing your name and address to other organizations. This spring I have ordered some lilies. Ever since I am getting all kind of mail from organizations I don't know to donate money and it's escalating, it's irritating. Or course, I just ignore them, eventually they will get tired.

      I ordered an Amaryllis set (bulbs, soil, pot, etc.) as a gift to be sent to my sister-in-law. Receipt and shipping notification had the correct name and address. However, when the order was shipped, they put my name on the label. Thankfully the building management didn't simply send it back as unknown at this address. I notified Breck's of their error. Never heard back from them, no sorry, no response whatsoever.. I had previously been a fairly regular Breck's customer but will not order from them again.

      i bought over $250.00 worth of bearded iris and gladiolas in the winter of 2022. all of the gladiolas bloomed beautifully. more that 2/3 of the bearded iris just rotted. i had them all in the same soil with the same water and fertilizer. i was so disappointed and i contacted Brecks but got no response. very sad.

      My puppy passed away on 8/17/23 unexpectedly. I ordered a Hybrid Hibiscus to plant along side her ashes on the day she passed. I received notification that the plant would not arrive until 10/9 thru 10/23....I called and they said they would ship sooner. I decided to wait and I called again on 10/23 and was told that the ship date had been moved to mid November without any notification. I complained and was given a another promise that shipment would be made within 3 days. No ship notification received.I called again on 10/30 another promise that it would be shipped that day. No shipment notification received.I'll have to bury my pup in the spring thank to this unethical business.Dont Ever buy from this company.I wish I had paid closer attention to reviews, but it was a difficult time for me.How are these people staying in business. I've sent an email requesting a full refund. Please save yourself the dissapointment and frustration. *************************

      Ridiculous shipping times for fall planting bulbs. Originally to be shipped Aug/Sept, which would have been OK. It's now the middle of Oct, I see that my order is available to be shipped but still hasn't been shipped. I live in a zone 3 growing area, often we have snow by now, and I'm still waiting.... I also see that one of my items is apparently back ordered until Nov. Absolutely of no use to me. When I ask for a refund to be issued in the form of a cheque as the credit card I originally used for the order was compromised and closed by my bank, I'm told to either contact my financial institution to explain the situation or wait until the refund bounces back to Brecks and THEN cheque will be issued. This is customer service??Save yourself the money and frustration and shop elsewhere
