I hired ************************* and Britts Packing and moving in March/April of 2023 for my move from ******* to ********, **. ************** was responsive gave great customer service, and moved me on 7/6/2023 delivering on 7/8/2023. The contracted amount was around $8,000 and I tipped another $1,000 for great service. However there was damage to the house during the move, and ************** had me engage his nephew, a home construction company owner, in Pinellas County to fix this damage. **************** came out the following week and fixed the move in damage as requested.During unpacking, I immediately noticed the pendulum for my grandfather clock was pack incorrectly and bent, and that my 77" OLED **** Bravia XR A80J television purchased in January of 2023 had handprints all over the screen from the move. I informed ************** and he told me to finish unpacking everything so we had one list of damage and that he would take care of it. Later during unpacking I discovered my antique, ranch oak dresser inherited from my father has a 36" vertical crack in the side. This was the final item found in our unpacking needing repair/replacement. I contacted ******* and he confirmed verbally that **************** would fix the issues.I contacted **************** and he was out on a cruise through the end of Novemeber, and was unavailable most of December. ******************** crew came out on 1/24/2024 and they attempted to repair the 3 items; for a recap it was 1. tv handprints, 2. grandfather clock pendulum, 3. Antique dresser. ******************** crew could not repair. I called ************** and he said get them repaired and he would take care of it after getting the information **************** could not repair.Since that time, ************** is not returning calls, texts, or voicemails left at Britts. I am looking to be reimbursed $225 for completed clock repair, up to $450 on dresser, and approximately $3500 to replace the tv. Best Buy came out under my warranty coverage, and could NOT remove prints.

I accept the business and my negotiation on the cost for the tv replacement.  The business Is sending payment, and I should receive that next week.

I have received accepted confirmation for the repair of the dresser and grandfather clock.

Once the businesses payment has been received next week this complaint is officially ok to close. Thank you to ****** for working with me to resolve this matter.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this response/resolution is satisfactory to me.

Initially working with the mover was challenging, but after ****** (owner/manager) became involved positive events began to occur. Immediately ****** sent a check for my cost repairing the grandfather clock and antique dresser.  When we spoke on the tv situation, ****** worked with me to achieve a settlement we both were happy with, the money arrived on time and ****** made this 9 month issue a professional transaction.  It took a minute but once ****** became involved, the business worked with me well, and I would recommend them due to Debbies customer service.

      Regards,

I hired ***** to professionally pack and load moving containers from PODS innOctober of 2022. The were anything but professional. The price that was quoted was hourly and then ended up being per container, provided by them, so I wasted money buying and providing new boxes. The two women who were supposed to pack in one day didnt finish, and left saying that the guys (movers coming the next day) would finish. The next day the movers arrived over an hour, and were obviously stoned or high. The refused to listen to me as I pointed out things and essentially told me to stay out of the way. There was a lot that they didnt pack and load that I had to finish by myself, lifting far more that I should have been due to health issues. They left junk food packages all over the house and drive as well as a lot of empty boxes, which they were supposed to load.Upon opening pods up in *********, many things were poorly packed, and a number of item that I had asked them to wrap carefully in padding had just been thrown on top. There was a hand carved music stand that was broken, there was no parts box. Some parts I was able to ,replace, but not parts to a custom dog kennel. A painting from the ****s had its frame and glass broken. Those were the most disturbing losses, but there were a number of things that just didnt arrive, including ********* ******** designer perfumes, the clothing they were packed in, and more.I contacted *********************** and we agreed that she would pay for some but not all of the damage in the amount of $579.60. By February ****** had still not sent the check though she had texted many times that she did. She finally sent part of the payment in March. She sent the balance last week and the check had insufficient funds. She currently owes $329.26. The work ***** Packers and Movers provided was unprofessional from the estimate, to the two days of poorly done packing, to the damaged items. Six monthsatet, I would like ****** to pay the remainder, $32926.

Hello *******, I have spoken with *************** and we have come to and agreement that I will pay him $2500.00 for the replacement of his television. That will also be done in two payments of $1250.00 each. I have already paid him  $425.00 for the repairs to the grandfather clock and dresser which he states he has received. Thank you for your time and help with this matter.
