I was in the middle to a transfer from ******* to *******. I have a signed transfer agreement with ***************************** signature on it. The idea was that I could walk through the hall to ******* to see my ***********************************, MD. The Apartment was 6/201D and I paid $300 for the upgrade (added a microwave) and the transfer fee of $400 had been waived due to other issues. The reason for the transfer is "dissatisfaction". The date on the paperwork is 3/18/22. The move-in date was to be 4/1/22, however, Justus did not renew their assisted living license on 3/31/22. Thus, ********************** said he was not returning due to lack of nursing staff he was promised. Although, I am still seen for my mental health by Eventus and prescribed medications. They also filled out a Medical Necessity Accommodation Form for my PTSD and Anxity. I was also in conversation with the *** of ******* ******************* who was very hostile towards me and called my medical accommodations for my disability "demands". She refused to accommodate my disability. I was also not informed that prior to transferring from one building to another a bed bug inspection would be done. I had not signed the new lease for ******* when a bed bug inspection was and scheduled and I was not informed. I was ambushed by a maintenance man "****" sent by ***** to ****** 2 females from APM with the intent of letting them into my apartment with my car sitting out front and me asleep in bed. I called ***** and asked why he did that and he said "I thought you weren't home". It was the ***'s job to call me and to make sure I was aware that I would be up and ready for them to do a bed bug inspection. I have PTSD and they refused to accommodate my disability. I awoke to my door being opened. I am on the ground floor, there was no reason for the *** not to call me or for the maintenance man (who knew I had a disability) to tap on my bedroom window to ensure I was not sleeping. I also have a credit of overpaid rent of $24. ********************************* is demanding that I put in a notice to vacate by 1/16/22. However, I am owed $300 for the upgrade of adding a new microwave to the apartment in building 6, that due to no fault of my own, I was not able to take and the $24 dollar of over paid rent. As I see it I am more than paid up through February. However, I tried to speak to ***** about this in Accounting and she was told to tell me to talk to *******. My last conversation with ******* was not productive and as always I am blamed for something that didn't happen. For instance, I couldn't reach ************************* by phone so went to her office. ******* called while I was in ****'s office and all that was said is that I must put in my intent or I will be evicted. Shortly after leaving ****'s office I received an email (I believe in error) of **** telling ******* that I'd just called her and left a voice mail threatening to **** That voice mail was left hours before (and I do not believe I threatened to **** I may have stated I would have to get an attorney. Plus, the only reason I had to go to her office in the first place, as I normally would never do that is because I couldn't reach her by phone and she did not return my call. I was forced to reply to the email in order to defend myself and character and clarify that I was not being reactionary. The fact of the matter was that ************************* had obviously not checked her voice mail until after I left her office. This is slander and defamation of my character and painting me in a false light.

I live at *************** Village in ************. Been here almost a year. I love the friendliness and activities offered. Also that utilities are included in my rent. However, the maintenance is lacking because there seems to be only one person in charge of 3 buildings and sidewalks. This winter was terrible for ice and the sidewalks were not salted or shoveled nearly enough. I myself have talked to two people in my building who slipped and fell. Both were injured. The laundry machines are ancient and need replacing. They break down often. The heating units on each apartment are also very old and are full of mold and loud when they are turned on. My kitchen and bathroom cabinets are quite old and the veneer is peeling off on some of them. My ceiling in the hallway has some kind of leak and is warping. The rent is being raised $50.00 a month here. Most of us are old and on fixed incomes. We are at the mercy for the most part of the owners and how quickly they keep up on replacing things in the apartments which need it. I wonder if all of the Justus properties are kept in good condition and are well staffed?
