The company sold and installed outdoor retractable screens. They have no decided 3 years later that they no longer want to service them because they dont have people to service them. They have made a choice to not honor warranty claims or service a product. They tell their customers to call A handyman. I want it fixed or I want a partial refund of the amount I paid for the project.Initial Complaint

We talked to owner of Window Valet, Josh LeClair to receive a quote for window shades/blinds. We told him initially we wanted vertical blinds for patio door. He talked us into getting more modern shades for the patio door. We did not know until they were installed that there would be a gap between the shades that does not allow for full privacy. They advertise 100% satisfaction guarantee and we told the installer, Cameron, that day that we did not like that gap in the shades. He called the office to let Josh know but was told in a meeting and would call us back. We had to pay for the invoice in full that day. We never received any call back from the company although we continued to leave messages the days following. We even sent emails but never received a reply back. The marketing person did reply once that she had been out and will contact us the day of her email but never received a call from her either. We are replacing the shades with vertical blinds ourselves. Credit?Business response

We did end up taking the shade back and giving them a refund. When our tech left their house the last time, they seemed to be happy.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 15991899, and find that this response/resolution is satisfactory to me. They did not give a full refund as they made it sound. They only refunded 50%. We were not given any other solution from them so we took it and lesson learned about this company. They need to change their advertising of 100% satisfaction guarantee because they make money and consumer loses money if not satisfied. They got their shades back plus 50% of our money as well.
