  I purchased a used vehicle from this place. After ***** miles, I took it in for an oil change and was told the engine was about to blow. I called Delong Auto Group back and they said there is nothing we can do. This car has only been driven limited miles. A new engine is between $6,000 and $12,000. That is consensus after 4 estimates. The tires where also bad and that was $1500.00. Im not complaining about the tires but the engine is a bit much. I also spoke with a service company who is very aware of this dealership and said that they currently have 2 others they are replacing transmissions in.

       It is unfortunate this occurred, we inspect and service all our vehicles before selling them. Unfortunately, no person can predict what can happen in a new or used car **** miles in the future.  We sell extended 

  warranties that can't predict but will cover unfortunate service issues like this. You were offered this warranty just like we offer all our customers, and you chose not to participate. The shop you are referring to is a 

  Certified Jasper ****** and installation service center that we recommended to you.  They install all of our transmissions and engines that we find defective in our inspection that we do on all our cars before we sell them. 

  The vehicles you are referring to are vehicles we are having new warrantied transferrable transmissions installed before we offer them for sale to our future customers. We take pride and are diligent in making sure we 

  provide quality vehicles at prices our customers can afford.

  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

  The company is unwilling to address the issue and chooses to hide behind their extended warranty refusal cop out instead.  This issue could easily be addressed if they were willing to just give some type of monetary  assistance because its the right thing to do.
