  My experience has been atrocious. So many complaints here and on Yelp, and ******* Another town sued them. Time for class action suit.

  Olthof Homes is the worst builder I have ever seen. They refuse to accept responsibility for their work, are poor communicators and liars. Our home is in ***********************. Here's the bullet points of the issues:- Our driveway concrete began to crack and flake after 1 winter. They refused to repair it citing salt damage. Again, it was only 1 year old, we don't use salt, they had no evidence to the contrary. Not the only one this happened to.- Our soil was such poor quality. They said, "it's highly organic top soil", which it was not. They took it from the pile down the street. It's just ***** What a silly thing to lie about.- Their builder threw garbage around all their worksites and it blew all over the neighborhood. Took a report to the city to get them to do anything.- My floor boards were of poor quality with many of them needing replacing.- The hardware on our toilet (no joke) exploded and caused thousands of dollars in damage to my house. This is because they used cheap, plastic hardware on our fixtures and never offered any upgrade or warning. We were in tears from all the damage and clean-up. My children suffered the most as their rooms were damaged from the flooding. It went down 3 levels. Could have been prevented if they had gotten an industry standard part or made it policy to never allow such cheap hardware to be used.Bottom line, this company is awful. Borderline evil. Stay far away from them. They can take me to court if they want to me a liar. Hope they change. And fast. For the sake of everyone wanting a piece of the American Dream.

  Moved in June of 2022 Terrible experience! Too much wrong issues with construction. They never follow through and fix problems, right now on top of everything we have floor issue where they sent someone to replace and screwed it up worse and got 2 **** spot of glue on bedroom carpet behind him while he was working! No one will talk to us! Called twice to person in charge of warranty now she wont speak! Been in here over two months, washer still not working. We have a list of complaints being ignored, husband Ill with lung disease and We our over being treated like this. I even gave up and bought shower doors to hide tub enclosure had big scratches that they couldnt fix!This company makes you pay high dollar for home and give horrible care after the closing. I just want to spend time with my husband before its too late!

  Please don`t buy home from them. Their warranty is just joke. we have a flooring issue till closing and after 5 months of closing they are not able to fix this. They will not support you and not follow up for you. Earlier they told me they have to order tiles for floor and it took them 3 months and when they came for fix and removed tiles from floor and open the box and tiles are different and told me they will come back tomorrow and fix it. It is already a week and nobody came and the floor is still open as they removed tiles. I tried to call them and email no body is responding. Not their=r contractor or no body from olthof homes. Please don`t buy homes from them. Saty away.

  Shocking reviews and now concerned how they will build mine. I wish I would have seen this before beginning my purchase so I could confront the sales person about these complaints. I will looking into this home I am having built by Olthof Homes, LLC. I hope the home I am in now does not turn out to be a better built home that for 16 years.Wow, is this a wake up call and time for many of my own inspections while they build on the foundation in the next few months.

  Just moved it and found too many problems (wish I can post photos here):1. water come inside and accumulated in garage on normal raining day.2. Many window frames have gaps and looks ugly.3. they forgot to cover one of the vent before birds moved in and hatched babies.4. they use very cheap wall paint, which can be easy scratch off by figures.5. some shingles peel off.6. cold air comes inside the house through outlet plug.During the recent storm, water came inside the house on many locations (not just windows). a pieces of fascia was blew off. One of my neighbors (a brand new house built by the same company) lost all fascia and half of the siding on one side of the house. I was told these damages are not warranty items so I have to take care of it myself. In comparison, other houses in my neighbors built by other company didn't have the same problems.... I won't be surprised if I will notice more issues in coming months...

  Too much to type, Terrible customer service. The carpet is completely flat and matted after 6 months Three contractors last minute canceled for repairs from 1 year ago. Still waiting. Door k*** fell off 3 times, we finally replaced it ourselves. Poured concrete in rain. Ping marks all over it. Dry wall taping was the worst Ive seen. Im in the industry. Shower door leaks from defective seal. Not corrected. The olthoff easement is 3 feet deep grass. You can feel wind coming through the windows. The seals on the windows get fogged. Numerous issues not mentioned. They dont answer the phone or call back.
