Rave Reviews!!! Exceptionally Satisfied!When we renovated our 1970s Mid Century Modern home- a NEW roof was paramount; we were also blatantly aware that a seasoned roofing company was equally as paramount, as we didnt have the a-typical roof!We have a low lying roof with an interior courtyard, not up-to-code, outdated! 4 gutters & inadequate flashing were creating water issues inside & out! Our roof project was complicated, not meant for amateurs!Received multiple bids & while Cox Roofing was not among the cheapest..however, (which we knew we didnt want anyway!) Cox Roofing stood out among the rest; in every way: from our informative & accommodating Sales **** ***** (***** was our initial impression, he came out to the house 3x) to the on-site *******; ***** & on-site Project Manager: ****, right down to, last but not least, the installation crew .. Arrived early; stayed late, they worked diligently, precisely, & expertly X2 days! (Left no mess, either).Invariably, with any older home there are a few unforeseen issues that arise:warping deck boards underneath & rotting trim boards were discovered, they were identified & rectified in a timely & efficient manor. Problem resolved! Our front fireplace was in desperate need of a cricket (flashing)which the other 2 companies never mentioned or even recommended!Needless to say well be lifelong customers & will sing their praises with referrals~ I hope this confirms your decision to choose Cox Roofing for all of your ******************************** needs, you wont regret it, we certainly dont! *** was a great company to work with. They did a total roof, gutter, and siding replacement on our home. **** was awesome supporting us through the planning progress. *** replaced my roof. I'm happy with that part of the job. However, beyond that much fell short. Those parts of the experience include:When they removed the dumpster from my driveway, they didn't magnet excess nails. There were at least **************************************** front of my garage door where my wife parks her car. That's a critical detail to overlook!Damage to the trim around the roof required that they return to replace it. TWICE. And I had to hound them to ensure it was done at all. At least 6 times I was told they would "be in touch" within 2-3 days to make arrangements and each of those times had to reach back out to ensure they followed through. 5 weeks later, it was finally completed. Know that if anything unexpectedly pops up around the job, a ton of your time will be required to keep them honest. They also left me more materials than I expected. This included 2 extra packs of shingles, 6 tar adhesive tubes, two drip-edging metal strips, a pack of ridge venting strips,s and a box of flashing. I'm estimating this to be worth something like $500 dollars. As it was more than I needed to be storing, I asked the ******* whether a refund was an option for these extra materials I was given. "Sure," he said, "I can take them and we will refund you." He did, but no refund ever arrived. I spoke with the production manager, ****, who was rude/argumentative, disrespectfully citing the "contract that I signed" he was happy to resend me. I was told that both the crew who left said materials made a mistake and that the ******* who promised a refund was also misguided. When I later followed up by email, he ignored me. I later spoke with the Chief Operating Officer at ***, ****, who said that I was misinformed and had no recourse. *** doesn't adequately train their employees, nor stand behind their word when their employees mislead you. They value profits over following through, honesty, and transparency. Better options exist that value customersCox Roofing Response

We have informed ************ at the beginning of the project that finding nails will happen, but to please let us know, this was going to be a process of coming back as many times as necessary. Although we use high technology magnets, it is impossible to promise not a single nail will be found, especially on rainy days. When ************ asked us to come back we did and remediate any concerns he had. In regards the extra materials, all of our staff is trained to know we always order 10% or more of waste factor (in which the Homeowner does not cover that, *** covers upfront that cost), just in case the the aerial measurements we obtain for every project are not 100% accurate. If measurements are accurate, all leftover materials are return to the store, but if they are not accurate we do not go back to charge the homeowner more, we absorb that cost.
************ had let us know he wanted to do a shed that was not included in the contract. **** had explained to the homeowner that if he wanted us to do the shed, we needed to add a change of work order at an additional charge. ************ was not happy about it and decided he just wanted to keep the materials. We have let him know the materials belong to ***. Indeed he was upset and he had asked to speak to someone else in charge.
When ***** called ************ explaining the exact same situation he said he understood about the extra materials, but he still needed them to do hi shed. We had let him know he cannot have the materials for free as they belong to ***.
Later on he send an e-mail letting us know that because we did not let him have the materials for free he was going to reach out to the BBB and his credit card company. He also mentioned he was a Doctor and will make sure every Doctor he knows didn't use *** Roofing.
We understand that sometimes clients want to make the best out of their money. Our standard procedure is to order extra materials in order to avoid delays for every project we have (sometimes they do not have materials being used on stock, we do not like to leave any roofs incomplete and expose). This is why we know our ******* did not tell ************ he could keep the extra materials, as he already was on the schedule to come back to pick them up after the crew was done.
There is more to the list of materials than what he mentioned on his complain. We usually don't have a problem leaving a bundle of two of shingles, however he was requesting to keep more than that.
We are happy to provide a copy of his contract where we mention our procedures when when it comes to ordering materials.

I had one of their guys, ******* come by my house and try to tell me I had hail damage and also telling potential buyers of my home to be careful because it has hail damage, and he never placed foot on the roof. I am a roofer, and I know 100% that my house has NO hail damage. They are a bunch of con artists trying to talk people into fixing a problem that doesn't exist. I wouldn't trust them with nothing. *** roofing was incredible from the initial call all the way through the completion of the roof. The roofing project we completed on our apartment complex was flawless. *****, the multi family manager, provided clear and constant communication throughout the entirety of the process. Although we are based in Louisville and they are in *******, it felt like we used a company that was right down the street. Great company with some amazing employeesReview from Ashley W

Came out on time and completed ******* and gutter installation in the time frame they gave me. The crew cleaned up all the trash and made sure i was happy with the job. Highly recommend ***!!!! Amazing company with amazing employees!!!
