***************************** I took my car in because the AC was blowing hot air. He then took it out back, and after 2 hours he came back and told me the AC still not blowing cold air. He said, I needed to pay and he can't m tell me what is wrong with it. He also said, for him to tell me, I would need to bring it back for him to diagnose it and that is also going to cost me. I asked, how much are we talking and he replied "I can't say, but it will cost you a lot". I asked for more explanation and he just ignored me for several minutes. I asked again for a solution on how to fix the car. This time, he proceeded to shout and spoke down to me rudely. I stood there like a kid. He took my money and didn't offer me anything. I took my car somewhere else, and in less than 2 minutes they came out to tell me that it was the AC compressor. The new mechanic showed me the compressor and the damage. I could see it from where I was standing. The mechanic told that Meineke or anyone that knows what they are doing won't even put air into your car, they would just know. because it is right there. I too could see the compressor. Instead, Meineke was trying to scam me for more money all the while knowing that putting air in the car wasn't going to fix it. I have called Meineke 7 times to file a complaint, they kept saying they would call me back but nobody did. I feel so cheated, scamming vulnerable people is never okay, especially when it can potentially affect lives. and I want my money $*** back.

I took my car to Meineke on Saturday March 26, 2022 after the temperature gauge showed it was running hot on the highway that morning causing me to pull aside along the highway. Meineke diagnosed the problem and told me that the radiator was the problem. it was leaking and needed to be replaced. this seemed odd because i would think that there would be some smoke associated with a leaking radiator. Meineke charged me $****** for this repair. not long after leaving that evening my engine oil light came on briefly and the lights on the dash came on and went back off. i continued to drive the watching for any problems. the next day i went outside to start my car and notice the temperature was rising past the midway point on up to hot. i turned the car off and walked away from the car. as i walked away i noticed a antifreeze fluid on the ground near the tire. i took the car back up to Meineke first thing Monday morning and they absolute refused to acknowledge any error on their part. i argued that the problem was never fixed at all. they told me after they rediagnosed it that it seems to be coming from the engine block. i was told that i likely had a head gasket leak, cracked head or timing seal leak and they could repair that for me but it would cost nearly $***** additional in labor. after getting this bad news and i desperately needed a vehicle in order to get to and from work i was forced to make a decision. i purchased a new vehicle to secure my transportation to an from work. i later took my vehicle to a more reputable specialist. while looking under the hood the technician pointed out i had a broken radiator cover and screws where missing from it. i immediately contacted Meineke but they refused to acknowledge any error on their part again **********************. the specialist fixed the issue and the only problem was the water pump was gone. NO cracked engine block, head gasket leak, seals was leaking, just a faulty water pump all along.

Current diagnostic is a cracked oil pan. So after a second attempt this morning at your location of trying to resolve an issue of my car now leaking after being in your shop I'm now being told the oil pan is cracked. Also being spoken to as if I'm illiterate and being told I signed a receipt that stated at the very bottom there was an oil leak prior to service. Which in my opinion looks and sounds like a bogus generic message on receipts for situations such as these because come to find out after research with your people it's on all my receipts, (and my car wasn't leaking - this is the very reason all my service isn't done here) anyway moving on. None of this has ever been discussed with your people during service, brought up or anything - while trying to sell your EXTRA products which is very concerning. This is the thing and my question why was my car even worked on let alone touched or what have you if my oil pan was cracked and I was there to have "an oil change". You'd think you'd not want to run into these types of problems, so come in and tell the customer and go from there I'm not quite sure just a suggestion I'm not in the automotive business. But the vehicle was serviced on Wednesday 11/24 right before the hussle n bussle that comes with thanksgiving and has been leaking every since to where I couldn't even leave to see my family worrying if my vehicle would be in worse shape than it is now once oil leak was seen. We showed up there yesterday morning 11/29 and was told something totally different as to the leaking which was incorrect from the very beginning but it was not checked underneath correctly so went with a faulty gasket excuse as to the oil filter leaking and went on my way - hoping it wasn't just something said just to move me along. Car continued to leak and I didn't have time to come back yesterday *********************************************************, etc. and my cars continuing to leak out oil. I come back this morning with someone that

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/01/06) */ Customer came to my business for an oil leak issue and oil change. My technician found a crack in the oil pan and notified the customer. The customer stated their last oil change was with *******. They contacted ******* and ******* took responsibility. ******* told customer to get it fixed and bring in the invoice to be reimbursed (******* only does oil and tire changes). Customer returned to my shop asking us to INFLATE the price so they could get a larger refund from *******. We refused and they left. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/01/07) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I don't accept the response because that's not even what happened or the outcome; let alone even what they actually did do. No further response is needed from this establishment. The response was given well after they already offered the help they had available. The complaint was filed well before even speaking with them so thanks but no thanks for the information wherever this was received from. Sounds like a disgruntled employee, again thanks for the help! Thanks
