I purchased my vehicle in January of 2024 and since then my vehicle has been in the shop for repairs several times. Now the ABS module is bad in the van causing it to not want to start or just shut off while driving. Also my side door on driver's side doesn't open and the passenger side door doesn't shut. I have reported this issue several times to auto now the van is still under warranty but auto now is telling me it's my problem and I need to fix it myself. I had to get a new battery I had to get the radiator replaced I had to get the ac fixed. I'm not sure what more to do in this situation.

To whom it may concern, ******* ****** bought her van on 01/19/2024 her van came with a 2yr. 24,000 mile limited warranty with a $200.00 deductible. 6 weeks later on 03/06/2024 our shop completed $864.00 worth of work on her van, A new fuel pump and A/C work @ no charge to ******** She did not have to pay the deductible, On 06/21/2024 ******* took her car to the shop again for over heating. Our shop found a clogged radiator which is covered under our warranty, Our shop made the necessary repairs and heather was charged a $200 deductible out of the $874.00 repair bill. She then took the van to the shop again for a bad ABS module which is not covered under our warranty, Since that part is not covered under our warranty it is Heather's responsibility to cover that charge. I appreciate the chance to respond to this complaint. But Auto Now considers this complaint closed. *** ******

On August 31, 2023, I purchased a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe from the Auto Now Dealership on ***** ****** ****** in Wichita, KS. The salesman I worked with was *** **** ***********. This vehicle was purchased with a Dealer Warranty – Limited Warranty that explained that the dealer will pay 100% of the labor and 100% of the parts for specific covered systems. I have attached a copy of this document. It also states that there is a $200 deductible for each repair. In less than 60 days of purchasing this vehicle it has not been in my possession. After having the car for approximately 10 days it was taken to their approved shop to repair the heater. Before I could even take it to the tag office the engine overheated, and it has been at the repair shop since Oct 20. I have made calls to Auto Now to see if the repair was approved with no response. I have been hung up on multiple times. On a call with my Fiancé – Valencia on Thursday, Nov. 30. 2023 we talked to “Don” where he told us the repair was not covered under warranty. To which we disputed, Don said he would call the next day and we never received a call back.

To whom it may concern, On Oct. 20th **** ******* called our approved shop from Eldorado Ks. area. And told the mechanic that his vehicle was overheating, The mechanic told ***** that we needed to get the car towed to the shop. ***** told the mechanic that he wasn't leaving the car on the side of the road with his TV in it that he had just bought. 2 hrs. later, ***** shows up at the shop with the motor knocking and melted so badly that the mechanic could not tell why the vehicle had overheated. When the mechanic shop talked to our warranty Dept. It was determined that the customer should have had the car towed in, Instead of continuing to drive the car. At which time voided the warranty, Auto Now considers this matter closed.

My grandson purchased a vehicle from Auto Now two months ago. I have had to go into the business several times because I felt they were taking advantage of my grandson. The dealership promised to fix several items on the vehicle and to date the items still have not been fixed. On today, October 20, my grandson went to tag the vehicle and the DMV told him that the vehicle has a lien on it so he could not get it tagged. We went to Auto Now to find out why they had not finalized this information after two months. Don (salesman) told us he did not know there was a lien on the vehicle. Well, I had a hard time believing this information because if they had purchased the vehicle and looked under the VIN number that information would of been there. I proceeded to let Don know that my grandson has to be able to tag the vehicle in order to get back and forth to work and take his son to daycare. I asked if there was anything they could do to get the lien off of the vehicle. They said, no and then said maybe by 4:00. I told Don that if my grandson drives the vehicle he could get a ticket. I asked him if they were going to pay for the tickets and he said NO. I told him if my grandson gets pulled over while driving the vehicle and the police arrest him for no tag he could get locked up. Don said to me, "*****************************************************************." I left his office and immediately called the police. The police came and took my statement and they went inside to speak with Don about when the lien would be taken off of the vehicle. They said come back in an hour. Upon going back to the dealership at 4:30(almost 2 hours) they still did not have the paperwork. Told us it would take 4-5 days to get the paperwork. They refused to give us another 30 day tag because they said it would be illegal to do that. After much discussion they put a dealer tag on the vehicle. Told us if it gets stolen it's his responsibility. This dealership is very *************.

Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2022/11/03) */ To whom it may concern, Izaiah ****** Bought a 2015 *********** on Saturday 8/20/2022 brought the car back on Monday 08/22/2022 demanded his money back because a headlight bulb burnt out. I replaced the bulb and the headlight was working again. We then gave him a name of a shop to take the car to get the A/C fixed, *************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************. So finally 2 months later he finally takes his car to a shop and we fixed what was under the warranty. As far as his grandma wanting to pay off the car, I will be happy to let her pay off the car. We do not turn down money to pay off a loan. I have left messages with both Izaiah and his Grandma Jewelene on October 31st that I had their Lien release and have not heard a word from them. We have done everything that I have told them we would do. I do consider this complaint fraudulent and worthless. But as long as he has a warranty, we will be happy to stand behind our warranty. Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2022/11/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Goodmorning, I am responding to the comments that were sent in by Auto Now (Don ******). Izaiah purchased a 2015 *********** from Auto now on 8/20/22. That evening the lights on the vehicle did not work so he and his friend went to ******* at 10:30 pm and purchased headlights for the vehicle.( We have the receipt) On Sunday when he came to pick up his son at my home he tried 3 times to start the vehicle and the third time it started. I told him to return the vehicle because the steering wheel was also shaking really bad and have the mechanic at Auto Now check it out. On Monday, 8/22/22 Izaiah took the car back and asked for a new vehicle or his money back because of all the problems he had with the vehicle in two days. Mr. ****** told him NO and also refused to give him another vehicle and/or his $*******. Izaiah took the purchased lights out of the vehicle because he thought they were going to give his money back or a new vehicle so he could return the headlights to ******* and get his $***** that he paid for the lights. Mr. ****** drove the vehicle off the car lot without the headlights that Izaih purchased and drove the vehicle somewhere and when he returned the vehicle had headlights in it. Izaiah preceded to tell him he wanted his money back and that he would take him to court. Mr. ****** response was, "**************************************************************************." I came to the dealership later that week because Izaiah was very upset. I spoke with Veronica (OFFICE STAFF) at the front desk to see what the problem was and she quickly said HE SIGNED THE PAPERWORK. She also stated that Izaiah was angry when he was speaking to Mr. ******. I asked if I could go ahead and pay off the car and her response was No because they wanted to help him establish credit. The same thing was mentioned to Izaiah when he called. I had never heard that but I have never purchased a vehicle from a dealership like Auto Now. Mr. Don ****** told Izaiah they would repair the vehicle. when he purchased it because surely you could see several items that were wrong with the vehicle. Izaiah made an appointment to take the vehicle to ******** on **************. On the day of the appointment, I followed him so I could take him home if they kept the vehicle. They were extremely busy. They said they would order parts and he needed to make another appointment to bring it in another day. He made an appointment to bring the vehicle back in and *** told him after a couple weeks that they no longer did business with Auto Now. No explanation was given. I went to Auto NOw with Izaiah because he was having so many problems with the vehicle and they were not fixing the problems. He went to the DMV to get his tags and found out there was a lien on the vehicle. His tags expired that same day. He has had the vehicle for 2 months and this was never mentioned. Of course, he could not tag the vehicle so I went in Mr. ******* office with Izaiah and asked Mr. ****** if Izaiah got pulled over for having no tag would the dealership take care of it and his response was NO. I also asked if Izaiah got pulled over and taken to jail would Auto Now take care of that and his response was "*************************************************. I immediately left his office and called the police. Race had nothing to do with fixing the car and having the lien released off of the vehicle so that he could get to and from work and take his child to daycare. Police came and took our statements and Auto Now promised us and the police they would have the lien in an hour. We gave them 3 hours and when we came back still no lien. I asked them to put a tag of some kind on the vehicle so he could drive the car off the lot and again they refused to do so. They told me it was illegal to put another 60 day tag on the vehicle. I asked to put one of their dealer tags on the vehicle. The officer asked the same question. After 30 minutes of speaking with them one of the salesman agreed to put his dealer tag on the vehicle but reminded Izaiah over and over if it got stolen he would be responsible for the tag. Izaiah called Veronica (office staff) and she gave him the name of another auto shop, ****************, *********************. He made an appointment and Izaiah took the vehicle in on October 24, two months after he purchased the vehicle, and he was given a repair order. Izaiah took the car to the shop to be repaired and on Saturday Night, (October 29) the vehicle stopped on him again. He had to leave the vehicle at **************** because it would not start. On Sunday morning, they went and got the vehicle. I told Izaiah again to take the vehicle back to the mechanic. The following items need to be replaced. Thermostat because he has no heat in the vehicle, missing lug nuts on the tires, window switch is broken and windows keep going up and down on their own, hood missing bolts, and unstable. Brake light not working, Disc rotor-remove and replace front and both sides, Brake pads, Brake rotor, Steering Gear adjustment to toe in on Rack and Pinion type and also needs alignment. Currently the vehicle is still at ********** (day 3) and no information. Izaiah was also told that he would have to pay $****** to run a diagnostic report on the vehicle. The warranty states that 24,000 miles or 24 months and for the most part doesn't cover much of anything wrong (safety issues) with the vehicle. I am appalled that this dealership or any dealership would be able to sell a vehicle that needed this many major repairs. It is truly a safety issue. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* I immediately contacted my son after receiving the report from BBB and my son called Mr. ****** to question why he would say that. In the meeting we had in his office he had the opportunity to mention this and he never ONCE mentioned that Izaiah said anything to that effect. Mr. ****** told my son, Gerell that HE FORGOT ABOUT THAT CONVERSAION AND DIDN'T THINK MUCH OF THE COMMENT. That I do not understand because if someone made a comment to me like that I would definitely remember it and bring it up. It is a shame that he made this comment and put it in his statement. After speaking with Izaiah and his dad, Izaiah said he would never say anything like that *********************************. Izaiah did say that he called Mr. ****** a name on his way out of the car lot and in return Mr. ****** called him out of his name as well. Izaiah shared with me that on that Monday when he took the car back Mr. ****** called him a racial slur. I wasn't there to witness that and told Izaiah we were concerned about getting this vehicle fixed. After Mr. ****** cussed at me in his office I began to wonder. But again I was not there at the original meeting. Izaiah is very young and when it comes to purchasing vehicles especially from dealerships like Auto Now you have to be very careful. We told him that he should never go alone when he is making a big purchase such as an automobile. This is a tough lesson for Izaiah to learn at a young age but unfortunately there are people that will take advantage of you and think nothing of it. He will eventually end of paying almost ********* for this 2015 *********** with $******* in interest that is truly unsafe to drive and needs a lot of repairs. My prayer is that we can get this car fixed and I would like for the dealership to fix this vehicle. Izaiah saved up his money ($*******) for a down payment on a vehicle and he purchased a vehicle that needs a lot of repairs and is in our opinion unsafe to drive. I just do not understand how a dealership is allowed to sell a vehicle that is in this condition and not have to take ownership of these vehicles. I pray that no one else falls victim to this car lot (Mr. ******) or any car lot that preys on young people that do not have adequate information on purchasing a vehicle. However, I do not consider my complaint fraudulent and worthless. If the vehicle was in good working condition (safe without so many defects) this information would not of been filed with the BBB. We would be glad to take this vehicle to our mechanic to have the repairs done and send the bill to Auto Now. I did speak with Mr. ****** on October 28th at 1:23 pm and he told me it was possible the lien would be in on Monday, October 31. Thank you for taking the time to look into this matter and I look forward to hearing from you. Blessings, Izaiah and Jewelene ****** Business Response /* (4000, 21, 2022/11/21) */ to who it may concern, we have refunded all money that they paid in and got our vehicle back. have a great day Consumer Response /* (2000, 24, 2022/12/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
