First off they claim to be bbb accredited but this says they are not. After each time supposedly finishing couldn’t get them to let me do a walk through after with them when I asked. Called for work 7 times so far so I could ask again for walk thoughs after I think and at times they showed up unscheduled/ didn’t show when scheduled. I told them the gutters needed angled away front he house & they finally sent someone out to check it who argued a little bit saying I’d have to pay another home inspector to tell them that when I had a home inspection report showing it and receipts to show I’d already had them directed out once and then agreed and said they’d let the production manager know and that likely I have water built up under the house and garage now (no responsibility for this if so their way)— I told the manager as nothing was relayed it seemed like or no response to me to schedule the fix—they said they can set up another thing another time. The j channels and gutters got broken that were not broken prior during their siding work (which was multiple times being told they were finished when it was left with holes through it in almost all the places a couple times and then being told they “missed it”). I think the siding is finally completed now, just with the broken j channels. They said what was broke by them was not on the estimate and they want to close out the job. The siding they replaced randomly keeps falling off now too. Had someone else put it back up due to not being able to keep falling off for this. I would like the job finished and the things broken replaced— the gutter isn’t even fully sturdy now on one that was prior— as I showed the guy that came yesterday. I would like the broken j channels also fixed on the garage and house. I would like the gutters fixed & directed out and away from the house and garage since all are now are now directed in including ones they weren’t supposed to work on. I’d like the siding secured without breaking more.

In Dec. 2023 I received an estimate for a new roof, to be replaced by the company crew. After securing a loan in May, I paid half down ($4,750). In June I was scheduled. A migrant crew from another company showed up (late afternoon). Fearing that I would be charged penalties for returns of the supplies that were already at the curb, and being shuffled to the back of a long line, I allowed them to work. Angry at the broken promises of having the company crew do the work, I asked for $100.00 off of the additional wood used. After a few 90° days the shingles on the ridge sagged and collected rain water, as well as a leak near the chimney. This time a company man came out to inspect. He reassured me Thoroughbred would fix the ridge and water test the chimney flashing. Instead, the migrant crew showed up again, this time with their boss. The crew worked on the ridges and the boss started sealing bricks in the chimney, without doing a water test! I mentioned it and he told me that he just wants to do this and never come back! On the ridges the crew were laying cap shingles without any underlayment, supplying only a single layer of protection. I had to argue just to get the boss to have them add a barrier layer first. Even this was substandard as the barrier must overlap at least 4". Now my roof still leaks around the chimney, and I have a substandard repair on the ridges of the roof. I paid almost $10,000 for a high end company, and they subcontracted it out to an inferior company after reassuring me that wouldn't happen. I want to have it redone properly and the chimney flashing water tested, but the sublet company, Elevated Industries, made it clear that they never want to come to this house again, and Thoroughbred Construction has broken every promise they've made. If I have another trustworthy company repair the mistakes it will void the 10 year workmanship warranty! Please help me with this, as I can think of no other way to handle it. Tim
