Company was hired to install the shower and replace any plumbing and rough plumb the bathroom. I removed the previous tub, toilet and sink. Upon the removal of the These the floor was rotted. I contacted the owner immediately and sent pics of the floor. Was discussed that I would remove the floor and get new subfloor and they would put it down. Original price for the work was 2400 no change in price was mentioned ever. I removed the existing floor. Company laid new floor incorrectly. It was not level and cut so far around the toilet flange that other plumbers said it would not seal and that it could not be screwed down. After 2 days of work they said they couldn’t install it and that it was cracked. The only work they had done is run two pex lines a few feet and out and elbow connector in the wall, installed the hand for the shower and drain in the base. However, nothing was connected or out together. The floor they put down had to be removed and redone. They are trying to charge 1155 dollars for work that had to be redone when I bought all materials they used except for the screws for the floor and pex line and connectors. I feel I don’t owe them anything since they wasted my materials time and labor for removing the floor not once but twice cause they didn’t not do the work correctly and walked off the job saying they had to build a wall to install the shower which was a false statement because the next company installed it without building a wall and it was done properly and professionally by the new company.Business response
