Back in 2019 I received a loan from eagle loan. That loan was paid off in full. As of now, date being January 24th, 2023. My wife messages me while at work to tell me we both received a letter from eagle loan recovery stating that we owe 8,215.97. My question is how when loan and interest were paid off and on top of that, how was I able to get title back if I owed an outstanding balance? These are court papers we have gotten through the mail. Something needs to be done about them. Why wait four years to send this? It makes no sense because loan was paid in full!

Giving me more time to contact them without continuous threats. No need to keep threatening me. I literally just got this letter today when I got home from work. I work 9am-5 pm - 5:30pm They are closed on the weekends. Since we are having trouble getting ahold of one another. I would like for them to know .. I will be calling them Monday Jan 23rd. At 12pm. I will take time to call them. I get very busy at work. However they also need to know there is no reason to threaten me. At this point are they even willing to work with me or will they just badger me when I do call. They put my ******* on the letter. The corrected letter and this letter came days apart. But I only have 7 days to call them? Why only 7 days when it has been years??? So with me trying to contact them and seeing the times they are open on this new letter I got today 01/20/2023. I will call them on Monday. They say they have called if so my ****** is saying they are scam. Or possible scam. No number is provided if they have called. I apologize for this if they have tried to get thru. I want to settle this debt with a manageable payback.

I borrowed $1000 from Eagle Loan Company. I do not remember the date or which one I borrowed from. I think it was ***********. I paid on the loan up until Covid hit. My hours got cut because clients / clients family did not want me or any other homehealth worker in their homes at that time. I contacted them in 2021 I believe. They said I owed $900 and something. I still lived at the same address when I applied for the loan up until March 31st of 2022. They had my address why didn’t they contact me sooner? When I did call them in 2021 they made out like it was no big deal and to call back when I was ready to make a payment plan on the $900 something that was left. Today ! 01/09/2023 I get the letter I uploaded. I owe 11,889.76?!! How! This does not make sense and I do not understand how I could owe that much? They should have contacted me way before now. They had my old address and could have contacted me before this letter. I want this amount changed back to the $900 something I originally owed. Not this incorrect crazy amount! I can work with $900 but almost $12,000 is a rip off and definitely not right. They should have sent a letter or called me to remind me of the loan before now. They should not be allowed to do this to me or anyone.

Although I'm disgusted with the amount paid I just want  to be done with you people and put this behind me and let it be known to others to think twice before getting a loan from you, that's not how you run a business, if you have to suck people dry of every cent to keep your fraudulent business running is evil and karma is so so sweet and it's a mystery why your not supported by BBB and doing people like that you'll never be, and for the BBB thank you for doing what you do I greatly appreciate it

My husband and I had a loan through Eagle I can’t remember the exact date we got it as it was in 2013 or 2014. We had the insurance on the loan and didn’t owe a huge amount left. May 31, 2014 we were involved in a very bad motorcycle wreck which left us both unable to work for a very very extended amount of time. We took everything to Eagle so they could do whatever was needed for the insurance to pay them. Now yesterday 9/22/22 my husband received notice of garnishment for almost 4K which was way more than what we owed when the accident happened and have no idea why we still owe and he’s going to be garnished considering we paid for the insurance protection. I called the law firm who is doing the garnishment and they could not answer why nor would they even work with me on a payment negotiation. When they start garnishing his wages we won’t survive we won’t be able to eat or pay our bills. My husband supports me and my children as I am disabled.

There is a company that is claiming to be this one using the exact same name exact same area code logos etc. that if you try to file for a loan with them they will take your information and hack your account I did that last night and woke up in all of my money was going. So if you’re going to get a loan with his company I advise you to actually go inside and not do it online

This appears to be a complaint against some company involved in internet scams.  We make loans from brick and mortar offices and do not make loans over the internet.  Loan applicants should contact one of our local offices to apply.  Our local branch offices are listed on our website at eagle.com.  For someone who is a victim of internet fraud, we encourage them to contact their local police and to file a complaint at with FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center at https://www.ic3.gov/.

Eagle finance in ******* ** has been deceiving me for years. They have told me that I can not withdraw my consent for ACH payments and that this was required to obtain the loan. I now know that this is a violation of federal law. This company also withdrawals said payments before the actual due date without prior consent. I believe this company should be investigated. They pack loans with services that not need, but make consumers believe they are required for the loan. They charge frivolous fees and flip loan over and over, to me they are predatory lending. I refinanced my loan in July. They always skip a month before the new payment is due. I wasn’t charged in August, as expected. In September two payments posted to my account. They refused to correct issue, and a woman by the name of Brooke M******, informed me again, that I could not revoke my authorization for ach payments, even in writing. Which is a lie.

We accept customer payments electronically, by one-time payment or by recurring payments made monthly on the due date.  Customers may elect to have their electronic payments made by either and ACH payment or through an automatic payment on their debit card.  We also accept payments  by cash, check, or money order.  Customers may stop electronic payments at any time, and may switch between payment options at any time.  We are have discussed this matter with *** ****** and we are refunding a payment to her and removing her account from the electronic payment program.  She may make future loan payments by cash, check or money order.
