Eagle loan sold my account to an attorney office. They are garnishing my wages and no one will tell me when this will be paid off. I keep asking the attorneys office they can’t tell me. I ask eagle loan they only tell me to contact the attorneys office. I feel after over 3 years and paying 4893.26 on a 5088.00 dollar loan someone can tell me when it will be the end. I was also paying 150 a month and that has now been switched back to 25% of my paycheck. This can’t keep going on I should be able to get answers from one of these 2 companies with a date that will be my last payment. I have filed complaints before with no resolution.

I made a purchase at Fitzpatrick on 1/3/21 and was informed that my items-Bed with frame, headboard, footboard, mattress and box spring and dresser with mirror with Sales Manager-*********. She states that the items would be ready for delivery on 1/7/22. I left the store and after getting home and reading the contract, I realized that I would being charged for renters insurance on the items however I already have renters insurance. I called and spoke to someone later on that week and was told to come back and provide the information and the contract will be removed with those charges. On 1/6/22 I received a phone call that the delivery drivers would not be available to deliver on 1/7/22 due to the snow storm that is coming. I was also informed at that time that the headboard would not be available due to being on back order but will be available next week when delivery is rescheduled for on 1/14/22. We received a delivery of the dresser-mirror, mattress, box spring and frame. I was informed by the delivery driver that the headboard was not available and he asked about the headboard at the store and was informed by ********* that I was informed that this item would not be available on today. That is very wrong. I was not informed about this. I called the store on 1/17/22 informed them of what I was told. The person I spoke to states that yes the headboard is on back order and would not be available for an unknown time. I am not able to put my bed together without this piece. Before the delivery driver left he also informed me that there was an issue with the footboard and it would have to be reordered. I asked if I could still come in to redo my contract, and was informed yes. I went to the store on 1/18/22 and signed a new contract without the renters insurance and spoke with ********-store manager who apologized and offered a free mattress protector for my troubles. As of 2/9/22, I still have no headboard or footboard.

      Ms. *******
We have reviewed your information set forth in your complaint. We do truly understand the frustration caused when an item that is either damaged or on delay from the manufacturer. For this we apologize. We spoke to the Manager at the store and understand that we have already made the offer to choose a different headboard and footboard of comparable price that is in stock. That offer still stands. I also have been assured that the Manager did offer to rewrite your contract to remove the optional personal property insurance. We truly appreciate our customers and always want what is best for them. We have continued to follow up with the manufacturer to see when your existing headboard and footboard will arrive. Staff shortages with manufacturing and delivery has hit all industries including furniture.

I assure you that our manager at ************* will continue to follow up on your order and deliver it as soon as it arrives. If you decide to get a different headboard and footboard please reach out to our manager. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I was sued after defaulting on a loan and I chose not to fight it but instead to let the garnishment happen. I never even received a letter for court ( they sent mail to my old place of employment, and my old address although they had my updated information on file) By the time I did find out, I didn't think I would have a chance of fighting it. The court case is closed, and I was ordered to pay 3258 dollars. I have now paid over 4000 in garnishments from my paycheck and I still have yet to see the garnishment stop.

We believe this to be a frivolous complaint.  This is a standard form letter that includes such statements as “Attentively review my formal writ composed declaration of not proven complaint misinformation…”  She does go on to state that she is the victim of identity theft and the complaint is directed to the three credit bureaus as she states, “I am writing to request that you block all accounts disputed as fraudulent on my credit report with **********, *******, and ********.”  She includes invoices to all three credit bureaus, demanding that each of them pay her $1,000.00.  We would note that we do not report consumer information to ********** nor to ********.  *** **** did borrow money from us on February 29, 2019, repayable over a 15-month period, and the first 4 digits of her account do match the first 4 digits on this complaint.  She also attached a copy of her driver’s license to her complaint.  We compared that driver’s license with the copy we have on file, which we received from her at her loan closing, and they are a direct match.  We also compared the signature on her driver’s license with her signature on the promissory note she signed at loan closing, and they also match.  At the time of her loan closing, *** **** also provided us with copies of her paystubs from her ********** **** job.  *** **** took out a loan, made 4 payments on that loan and then stopped paying.  We filed a lawsuit, obtained a judgment, garnished her wages, and was eventually paid in full through an extended series of garnishment payments from her employer, ********** ****.  At no time during that process did *** **** ever allege that she was not the person who took out the loan and our review of this matter revealed no evidence of identity theft.  *** **** has not provided us with any credible evidence of identity theft, she has never provided us with an Identity Theft Affidavit, as recommended by the FTC, nor has she provided any other evidence to support her allegation.  As her complaint is wholly unsupported by any facts, we deem it to be frivolous and the complaint should be ignored.

I have had an account with Eagle Finance for many years. In October 2021, my last payment for my loan was due. The monthly payment has always been automatically deducted from my debit card. Is September I realized that due to low funds and starting a new job, I was not able to pay it off on time, I called to let them know. They were understanding at first, I was to make my payment on October 22nd . On October 14th then suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized, and underwent open heart surgery. I sent my husband to the local branch on October 30th to pay the $50 interest only payment. He tried to pay with cash and they would not accept cash. I called to try to pay with my bank card, and they wanted to make 2 different transactions, that would have caused me 2 bank fees, because my account was already overdrawn. That payment did not go through. Finally on November 3, 2021, we made another trip to the local branch to make my final payment. This time I went inside and used my husband's debit card. They said that is card was declined. Even though he just got paid. At this point, I feel that the business is purposely trying NOT to take payments, to extend the life of the loan, and tack on extra fees. I have never heard of any business not taking cash as a payment, and fight so hard not to take my money

      *****,
We are sorry for the circumstances regarding your recent health issues and value you as a customer.  As mentioned to both you and your husband, we do not take cash payments in our office and haven’t since March 2020.  Our associate mentioned getting a money order from ****** in our plaza to your husband when he came in to pay with cash, however, he left and did not return.  We also attempted to process the payment from a card however it gave us an error message and would not process.  Please give the office a call and speak to the manager.  She will be able to discuss the account in more detail and we’re certain that she’ll be able to work through this and take care of things in a manner that are satisfactory to you and your husband.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

      Regards,

When my husband attempted to pay with cash,, he was simply told, " I don't accept cash" no one ever mentioned getting a money order. That was only mentioned when the office called me to get my payment. I just got out of the hospital for open heart surgery. I have also been out of work and I cannot drive. This has bern a huge inconvenience for me. I feel that they are purposely trying to reject my payments to stretch out the loan

I have contacted the attorneys office for this information and they were not able to give it to me. I have contacted eagle loans about a payoff date and they said they can not tell me due to interest rates. Even with interest I can’t pay on this loan forever there has to be an end somewhere.

I don’t owe Eagle Finance anything. This was paid in Feb of 2016. Even shows paid on my credit report. Got served papers today saying I owe double what the original loan was for. And the open date was the same as the actual last payment of the loan. I have received nothing in the mail saying I owe them anything. But get served papers today. This needs to be fixed ASAP

I secured a title loan for 2400 from this company. Due to my personal finances I defaulted and an order of garnishment was issued. Through the company's system this was stopped. I called to verify that it was supposed to be stopped. The company checked and verified everything was correct As this was a title loan, after a month or two I called the company again to verify and recieved a release of lien for the tittle to my vehicle. Now months later I have recieved another letter of garnishment for the same loan, with interest added from the day they stopped the garnishment. This loan has become a 5000 dollar debt. I can see continuing the garnishment but the interest accrued during the time they stopped the garnishment should not be my responsibility . The garnishment being stopped was their error, I did nothing to cause his error and I called more than once to verify that the information they had was correct. Both times they verified the information.
