We are sorry if you feel this way. The "foreign guy" that runs this place is not foreign he is an American citizen, and his skin Is just brown. We are sorry if you have an issue with anyone of his nationality. You did not end up leaving, you stayed two nights with us, and there were no issues during your stay with us. Your only complaint was that the game in the arcade took your 5-dollar bill, and the vending company came and checked the machine and found no 5 in there and said the machine was working fine. Again, we apologize if the employee's color made you uncomfortable; you voiced no complaints during your two-day stay with us.Review fromMaggie C

So I try to take my kids swim in like I normally do. They always always let us pay to swim. And today I go and the manager was extremely rude. Yelling at me and telling me to get out. When I was talking to him calmly, he continued to yell at me. And then when I tried to talk to the other lady that was working there, he told her pretty much to shut up and not speak to me and told me to get out. Try to lie on my kids and be, didn't. Even just very disrespectful. And I'm trying to get the number to corporate. And I asked them for it and they refuse to give it to meWildwood Inn

We are sorry that you feel like we were disrespectful but the situation was calmly explained to your husband before you came in and proceeded to argue with us about the situation with your children from the last time you all were here. We would have been more than happy to give you the corporate number had you asked for it while you were here. We appreciate your business in the past but unfortunately, we cannot have kids running around the pool area or eating while in the pool. That is what was explained to your husband when he first came in. We tried to explain that to you but you were not listening and just went straight to saying the staff was being rude. Your husband did not have any issues when we told him why unfortunately we cannot continue to allow your family to swim here. Our staff that was working did not tell his coworker to shut up, once they saw you were not going to stop arguing, it is our policy to try and stop interaction with the other party.Review fromMichelle G

So, We ended up checking out of the Wildwood Inn in Florence, Kentucky early because of the disrespect and unprofessional handling of a disabled person with a service dog (Me). The person at the desk was getting rude with me and trying to tell me the laws of the service dog when I own a service dog... like I don't already know the laws. Trying to tell me I couldn't leave my service dog unattended at any point in time. I know for a fact that you are able to leave a service dog unattended for short amount of time. He kept getting very loud and rude with me and then at the end told me I can go ahead and check out if that's what I want to do then. I can't believe that a person who pays over $500 to stay at their establishment is okay with kicking a disabled person out. I have never felt so disrespected and harassed in my life. I left office with my blood pressure sky high and my anxiety almost at panic attack mode. I'm warning anybody who has a service animal not to go to the Wildwood Inn in Florence, Kentucky with them. It doesn't matter what paperwork you have from your doctor. They still will treat you like trash. Even online they say their pet friendly. Maybe they just treat service animals and owners like crap then. My sister was able to find us an ****** that was perfectly fine with my service dog..... I'm just at all right now! I have never been so disrespected in my entire life at an establishment that's supposed to be good with customer service.... Just WOW!!Wildwood Inn

Whenever a pet-friendly room is booked online upon check-in we always ask how many pets you will have with you, because like every hotel we do charge a standard pet fee, of course, this fee does not apply to service animals. So at the time of your check-in, you were asked if you had any pets with you and how many, you did respond that you had one dog with you but that he was a service animal. Front-desk politely asked you if the dog was a service animal because of a disability which you responded yes, you were then asked if it had been trained to perform a specific task to which you also responded yes, the employees then proceeded to get you checked into your room with no problem at all. A few minutes later you started saying you had paperwork for your service dog and the employee checking you in told you that was not necessary and that paperwork was not required for service animals. At your request we did end up taking your paperwork and making a copy of it for you and putting it with your registration. The next day barking could be heard coming from your room for about 20 minutes until front-desk received a complaint from a room next to yours the barking was starting to disturb our other guests, at which point we called you and told you that your animal kept barking, you responded that "they" get nervous when left alone and that you would be returning in about 40 minutes. You were never once told that you would not be able to leave your animals unattended, but to be courteous to the other guests around you who were being disturbed by the constant barking when leaving your animals alone. Once you returned to the hotel front desk asked you how many animals you had in your room and you responded that you had two animals, you said you had no issue paying for the second dog and at that time a pet fee was charged for the second animal. When asked why you had told us that you only had one animal with you upon check-in you stated that it was because you did not have the paperwork for your second dog which was also a service animal even after being told more than one time that paperwork was not needed for a service animal. Once you state that you have a service animal we have two questions that we ask you according to the *** rules and regulations. You came to the front-desk later that night saying you no longer wanted to stay for the remainder of your visit and started talking badly about the "indian" man. Front-desk then proceeded to apologize to you and make sure you understood that you were not asked to leave and that you were more than welcome to stay for the remainder of your visit and explained to you there was never an issue with the animals at all we were just trying to figure out how many animals total you had with you since you had not been honest about it when checking into the property. You insisted you were ready to leave you did not appreciate being questioned about how many animals you had with you, at which point a refund was given to you for the pet fee paid for the second animal. We then instructed you to call the third party you had booked your room through and get a refund for the remaining nights of your reservation. We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us, again service animals are always more than welcome at our hotel, but we do ask that you be as honest as possible when checking into our hotel about the amount of guests and animals so we can make sure everything is updated in the computer correctly.Review fromKevin D.

5 starsIt was amazing ?? for an kid friendly hotel. The staff was very nice and professional. We were treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Overall the place is a diamond in the rough, in need of a significant renovation to take this place to the next level.of hot spots. Currently a solid 6, but with a little more love ?? and this could be hottest place in the Midwest. Beautiful surroundings, mall, the town's people were unbelievably super nice and welcoming. The restaurants were great.Review fromDiona W

To begin, when the guest checked in, she filled out the sign-in sheet. She provided the make and model of her car and license plate. She also signed and initialed the rules that stated that there were only 4 people total allowed on the property, with no guests or visitors allowed at all. Also, no parties are allowed. She was having a bachelorette party, complete with sash and crown. They had extra guests, and when told they had to leave, she began cursing loudly along with her friends in the lobby. They were then told they had to leave the property and the cursing and yelling became worse, so we had to call the police. A few of the guests ran to the car, some appeared to be underage. It also appeared that underage drinking was going on. Only 1 car was registered on the property. When the police were called, several of them ran to the car and left. When the police came, they went to the room and said it smelled strongly of alcohol. When the car left, the manager went to check the room, the door was open slightly so he just pushed it open. With only 1 car here, we had to assume all the girls had left. The rules were enforced.
