    I called to have a extension put on my bill considering my due date was today 3/27/2024 was also trying to get a few questions answered about why my meter said it was maxed out and why they were going to disconnect me when the due date was today well lady at first tells me she has no idea why my meter is doing what I told her and they get someone to come look at exactly 3-4 mins she calls me back tells me her supervisor said hers does the same thing and it was perfectly normal bc she just look hers the other day so imagine that and refuse to have someone come look at it

    This member already had an arrangement on her account through 3/23/2024 the member did not pay the arrangement by the due date, so the account was disconnected today because she didn't meet her obligation. The arrangement was given to her for the very last date that they could be made this month.  Once an arrangement is made on an account it cannot be extended past that date.  I do not see any prior service orders or notes on this account that we have received a prior complaint or been asked to check the meter.  I have spoken with my metering department, and they have confirmed that this meter is properly working it just appears that something at this location is using large amounts of power.  I have attached the members daily usage for you to review and you will see on some days this meter uses over 100 KWH a day.  This is an actual reading, and they are not estimated.  I will reach out to this member to see if I can work with her to figure out the issue that is causing her to use so much electricity.

    I was willed a house on *** *** Olive Hill, KY by my grandmother. I don’t live in this nor intend to anytime in the future. I plan on fixing up the house and renting it. My last two electric bills have been extremely high for a house no one lives in. I was charged $283.97 the past two months for a house that has no one living in it. The home is heated by gas heat and only has a refrigerator and freezer plugged up. No other electricity has ran in the house since the week before December. I reach out to this company three times in the past two months but can’t get a response. Either their is an issue with the electric box or they are estimating my charges and not based on usage. No one has been in this house since the week before December and all breakers were removed in the garage. They are charging me these prices for a refrigerator and freezer set on the lowest setting. I would like an explanation of the charges and someone to check my electrical box as there is no way this house has used this much electric. There haven’t even been any lights turned on in the house since December. My account number is ********. I have friends and family have similar issues with this company. I have had services with many other electric companies in my life and this company is by far the highest charging electric company I’ve ever encountered for the amount of electric I’m using. Thank you for looking into this matter.

    Attached you will find a copy of the members meter from 12/1/2023-3/14/2024.  As you can see from the reports on this meter something at this location changed on 12/18/2023-2/20/2024.  It appears that something has been left on or stuck on.  We can tell from the usage at this location that it appears nobody is living at this location at this time.  However, as stated able there was a small window that something at this location was using higher amounts of electricity.  The bills that this member has received are actual daily usage and the charges are not estimated.  The member stated that he has reached out to us multiple times but myself or my assistant that deals with these kinds of issues neither one has ever spoken with this member.  I also reached out to my metering department to go over this meter with me and they also agree they feel like something at this location has been turned on or is stuck on due to the usage during those times.  Currently the meter has gone back down using minimal amounts of KWH.  Today, Angie our energy advisor reached out to this member and went over the usage chart with him and sent it to him to review.  He told her that his dad is the one that checks on the house so he will check with him and see if he plugged something in because it was getting cold.  He told her if it was back to normal, he wasn't worried that something was wrong since the usage went back to normal.

    My bill has never been above 250 but last month I was charged 423 and this month was 516 and I've not done anything different and have even unplugged things to use less electric. I'm hardly ever home because I work all the time. I don't understand how my bill can continue increasing, and the electric company won't tell me either.

The amount that he has been billed for is the actual usage that has came through the meter it is not estimated. We can let you know of the results of the energy audit once it has been completed.

    My complaint is over the ridiculous price increase for mine and many others electric bill. My bill has jumped over $350 from January to February. January bill : $293.65 February bill : $649.01

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/15) */ Contact Name and Title: ****** ****** Supervisor Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: *************@graysonrecc.com The meter was an actual reading not estimated from January 1, 2022-February 1, 2022. Electric usage was down 277 kwhrs from the prior year. $102.51 of the amount due is fuel and environmental charges which are both up this billing cycle. This cycle had 31 days billed on it. There were 139 more heating degree days than last year. 549 more heating degree days than last month. The decrease in the outside temperature does account for the increase in kwh usage. I will attach a copy of this members 12 months usage so that you can see over the last 12 months of bills this is an average what this member uses for the billing cycle.
