1 starI paid for my book 2 weeks ago which I also paid 39.00 for express next business day shipping. My book never came, I disputed the charges and they refuse to release my funds so I could do business else where. Now I'm 3 weeks behind in the course of study I need the book for. I'll never USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!!!!!!!eCampus.com

Good morning Michael,
The title you ordered had the availability of typically ships in 3-5 business days, however, during peak season these titles can be delayed. A refund was issued on 09/14/24, at the time of your request. The refund process does take 3-5 business days, depending on the financial institution. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Thank you for shopping at eCampusReview fromEdinson R

1 starI Purchased a book on this page, before I made the purchase I was told that book will arrive in a week, after placed the order on Aug 31,2024, now they are saying that book will arrive on sep 17th, that's insane, the worst part is that they said that you'll have access to the book online, but you have to wait until the book arrives because they send an access card, terrible experience, I will not buy again from this page.eCampus.com

1 starI rented a book July 2024…from this company ECampus.com it was in very good shape. I used this book as a reference book. I sent the rental back August 2024 in the same exact condition. The book was NOT damaged, watered damaged or even highlighted. Again, very good shape. I received an email stating the book is damaged and unusable. I have to pay for a replacement book $175.00.
I’ve written and asked for proof of the damage. The only response I got back was via their chat( their only means of communication or email) that stated the damaged was verified. I was told I have to purchase the book and will be charged a $12 return book fee.
I wanted to be rid of the company so I’ve agreed to pay the replacement of the book (though it was NOT damaged). I was then required to pay credit card. NO WAY! I paid my rental with Pay Pay. I’m willing to pay the book replacement with same or check. Paying with credit card is not an option at this point. This company in my opinion has been deceptive and not clear nor open an honest with the supposed/alleged damage to the book I sent back to them. Now the payment process since I can only pay via Pay Pal or check has to be sent to a supervisor. I’m paying for the replacement because I want to be free and clear of this company. I don’t agree with their practices. The book I sent back was NOT damaged at all whatsoever.Review fromJohn M

1 starI ordered two books, both listed as available in 3-5 business days. Nine days later, I found they had changed the availability to "not available from publisher", yet they charged me for both books on the order date and provided me no update that the books were not available, I had to contact them to cancel the order. Waste of time and money, I will never do business with them again, I'm canceling another book I also later ordered and will never get. 1 starScam Alert!!
I rented two book for my daughter, and returned them at the end of the semester in the exact condition in which they were received (they were hardly used). I received a text from ECampus 14 days after they received the books back saying that the books are damage. 14 Days!
ECampus then processed an unauthorized payment on my credit card. They also have kept my credit card on file unauthorized as I would never agree to keep a credit card on file with any company.
The text also says if I want the books back that I have to pay $12 for shipping. So I was charged the original rental fee, the original shipping charge and charged full price for the books, and now they are keeping the books. I am filing a complaint with my credit card company and will try to avoid at all cost using this company for my daughters books in the future.eCampus.com

1 starDO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. RUN AWAY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY!!!!
Purchased a rental from this company on January 6, 2024. Received the book in good condition, on may 1st 2024 I got an email stating that the book needed to be returned before may 31st 2024. I went to USPS and returned the book on May 2nd 2024. I received an email from ecampus on June 11th 2024 stating that they never received the book and that I was charged the full amount for the book $96.00. So I check my bank, I was charged the full price of $96.00 the day before I received the email on June 10th 2024 WITHOUT MY CONSENT! I reached out to their live chat considering they don’t have a phone number and spoke to “Wade S.” To confirm they got the book and that I wanted to be refunded. He proceeded to tell me that they received the book but it was returned damaged. He then proceeded to send me a photo of a book with water damage, but it was just a horrible photo of a book open with white pages and liquid damage. I asked to see a photo of pages with words on it to verify it was mine and he couldn’t provide that stating it was unusable and the book was “recycled.” I can confirm that the book never left my desk and was never near any liquid let alone anything spill on it. They refuse to refund me my money and state I need to file a dispute with UPS because the package was delivered undamaged. This company is the absolute worst and preys on broke college students and takes their money without consent!!!! Please please please save yourself the headache!!!Review fromGrant G

1 starI ordered a exam study guide for my wife. I did not receive shipping tracking information until I got in touch with ecampus.com. Then UPS claimed that they delivered the package and left it on the porch 6/14/2024 at 1138 am, along with another package. I don't know exactly what the UPS driver did, but only the other package was at my house and not the ecampus.com study guide that I ordered. The received item was left next to the garage, and without any photo of either item being delivered. I communicated with Tricia (WASI38) at ecampus.com customer service. She stated that since UPS claimed they had delivered the item that they would trust them instead of me. So now, with 11 days until my wife's exam the study guide is still not here and I lost $70 also. Buy a book elsewhere, where people are not putting forth policies against customers in order to make a quick dollar. I am hoping that one or both of the other study guides that I ordered elsewhere makes it here within 6 days of her exam.eCampus.com

1 starI can't tell you how much aggravation this has caused me, after Amazon stopped renting books I decided to order my law books here, I ordered 12/21/23 and they had no shipping updates, wouldn't respond to any of my email inquiries, I was so nervous that I wouldn't have my books when classes started, all of a sudden 15 days later my books show up with a day to spare, one of the books was in such horrible condition it was almost unusable, tons of marking, highlighting and notes written in it but I didn't have any time to replace it and figured I had to deal with it, I sent my books back with plenty of time to spare and never got an email saying they received them but my UPS tracking let me know they did. 2 weeks later I get the email that says the book I rented for $125 was damaged and they were charging my card for a brand new book to replace it at $234.00! I was beyond shocked, I returned the crappy rental they gave me! How can they get away with scamming college students this way? I have emailed multiple times, attempted calling and their live chat is a bot! I have disputed this charge on my credit card! I think this company should be put out of business for this scam! They make the email go directly through their page so you have no record of it. I would give this company minus 10 stars if I could. AVOID unless you want them to charge your account for bogus charges.Review fromjustin s

1 starThe website eCampus.com is an online book store which I rented books for a college course. The books were received as printed copies with a plastic spiral binder. I received the books with bent pages and pages not in correct order, mainly the cover and reference pages were on the end of the book one of a two series book. I returned the books, but received charges to my account for the full price of the books. When I inquired about the charges through the echat, I was told that there was a stain on one page (a blank page) and their policy states they can charge full price. I told them I was never notified about the damages or charges. They told me an email was sent. When I checked for an email, the notification email was sent a day after the charges to my account. Charges on my credit card account posted June 3, 2024 and email received June 4, 2024. If I wanted the book that I’m being charged for, I would have to pay $12 for shipping fees. The email also states I have 2days to respond or the books would be recycled. This email was sent on the June 4, 2024 and had to be responded to by the June 6, 2024. This is bad business practice and a scam of their rental policy. They are using printed copies for their rentals and claiming that a small stain on a blank page is damage warranting full replacement cost of the book. In total I’m being charged $454 for a rental, full replacement, and shipping cost.Review fromStanley C

1 starRented a textbook for my daughter. She barely used the book and never took notes or highlighted in the book. I returned the book to the UPS store in like new condition. I later received an email saying the book was returned damaged and was charged the replacement price of the book. Total scam. Plan on buying the book on top of the rental cost.
