Poor Quality Work And Over Billed.
I hired this company to remove water out of my basement from recent flooding. They gave me a verbal quote on cost. They halfway did the job and as it was going to require more work than thought - they suggested I get another crew to come in and remove the rest of the pad and carpet as it would reduce the initial verbal agreement. They stopped working and packed up. My friend got on the phone with them and requested they at least finish getting the good 1 inch of water up so the other crew could at least pick up the carpet and pad. They brought back in the hose and wand and with backpack still on his back from leaving the 1st time, he moved the water back and forth splashing it on the walls several times, I could go on but I will stop.
They brought small fans and humidifier out for 3 days and left them for 6 days over the weekend.
We had to move this equipment out of the way on Saturday to allow for the floor people to start working. We had been monitoring the humidity and moisture our selves and noted that it had stabilized at day 3.
I ask 3-4 x for a quote or estimate early on so I could turn in to my insurance company to get that process started. I never got one but eventually received a bill for much more than I was quoted even with the young man telling me it would have been reduced with me getting the other crew in. I asked for an itemize bill to see what I was being billed for. They had included that the equipment was in the home for 6 days. Instead of the quoted 3 days. I calculated the bill with out the extra days and told them I was willing to pay that amount and did send a check.
They recalculated the bill and resent along with a Demand Letter - threatening a lien on my home if I did not pay the additional 359.00.
I told them I would pay it but I would report them for shady business dealings by quoting one price not completing the job, with out verbal "encouragement" to finish removing the water.Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling

we had water damage at our home that we noticed when we were smelling mold and feeling the softness in our floors both in the kitchen and the bathroom. We contacted our insurance company back in October 2023. Paul Davis came out right away and removed the damaged drywall and set up the dehumidifiers and fans to dry the walls out. That was it. We were contacted by them to have a deposit of $1000. paid to them and they would begin the work. This was given at the beginning of December. Now comes current date. No WORK DONE, NO ONE CONTACTING US BACK. we keep being told that the project manager will call us back, well no phone calls. We are in a 3-bedroom 1 bath home and have not been able to have water in our house since November 2023. We have to go to a local restaurant to use the bathroom or to shower at friends or the gym. Let alone all the money we are out due to having to eat out because we cannot prepare food in our house. Insurance company has given them the money for the repairs, and they have our deposit, but we have nothing. WE CANT SEEM TO GET ANY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OR TO GET THIS RESOLVED.Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling

The homeowner initially discovered a leak in the midst of a remodel project, prompting Paul Davis to promptly respond for mitigation, which was successfully executed. Despite our efforts, the original leak remains active, necessitating the shutdown of water supply to the property. Consequently, we have been unable to proceed with installing drywall.
Given that the homeowner had already purchased materials for the remodel, our team has diligently worked to fulfill insurance requirements by submitting bids for the installation of these materials. We await approval from the insurance company for these supplements. Once approved and the leak is rectified, we will resume repairs accordingly.Review fromNancy K

I would give them a zero. They were to arrive at 8 am the day they were to move furniture out of our home to begin sanding our hardwood floors and renovation of our kitchen due to water
damage. Had to call and ask where they were and they gave excuses. Then wanted me to pack some of our items that was in the contract
that they pack everything. We’re supposed to get a pod for our furniture they did not get one. Had
To take our sectional couch to their warehouse to get it out of the way. Left our front door unlocked twice and did not see it as a problem. Put our sink in and there was additional water damage they caused and damaged our new cabinet they had to replace. When they put backsplash in they got grout all over our brand new quartz countertops they had just installed. Dented and scraped our refrigerator doors (almost brand new fridge) and we await new french doors and freezer drawer that whoever put quartz countertops damaged. Sink leaked twice after they installed it. Found out it was not a plumber who installed it. Began all the renovations in April 2023 just starting to meet and order cabinets. They dragged their feet. I told them I’d go elsewhere and they could give me my deductible back, all of a sudden they could meet me. Now it’s February 2024 and they still aren’t finished. Whoever cut the cabinet for our double oven didn’t wrong and now that needs to be fixed. Scratched my furniture. I would not allow them to build a doghouse for me.Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling
