On October 19, 2023 I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership. It wasn't the vehicle I asked for but the salesman said the one he sold me was better choice for as financing my first vehicle. If the salesman would have told me something was wrong with the truck it would have been a choice for me to purchase it, if I chose too. They did not do an inspection on the truck after receiving it and sold it to me. I was already advised from the Service Dept. that an inspection wasn't done. After speaking with the GM, he does not care if one was did because it's past 30 days. Per other dealerships they were suppose to inspect prior to selling. I have contacted the General Used Car Manager to get the issue resolved but he saying that due to I bought the truck "As Is" there is nothing that can be done. He offered a $600 credit towards a new transmission. Per reviewing the reviews on ****.com this seems to be non issue for doing this.

I am rejecting this response because: it doesn’t state in the response the amount you willing to discount.

      Sincerely,

Price to repair transmission is $6,344.27 and Mr. Lee was quoted $5,666.80 a discount of 677.47.  We are at this time willing to discount further in the amount of $1,586.00 bringing the total repair to, including tax, to $4,758.27.

Ray Chevrolet towing damaged my truck during the towing process and refuses to make repairs. I was ticketed and towed by Maurice police department, ray Chevrolet towing towed my vehicle to their yard. The tow truck driver entered and drove my vehicle to put it on the tow truck. In the process he broke the seat. Specifically he broke the "track the seat slides on". It was not necessary for driver to enter my truck since he had lots of room to move his tow truck to tow away vehicle in st Alphonsus church parking lot with only 4-5 cars on the lot. None were within 50 ft of my truck. While exiting the truck he shoved the seat forward to the most upright; pushing seat toward dashboard. It broke in the last sliding slot which made it impossible to drive the vehicle safely. This was not comfortable and very dangerous as this was an extreme position for a short person. The position my truck was stuck in made it difficult to operate gas/break pedals and to sit. I couldn't view my mirrors to safely make calculated turn. It is a safety hazard and puts me at serious danger to cause an accident. I also can not access my toolbox which in underneath rear seat and needs for slide mechanism to operate to open. I contacted Ray Chevrolet and spoke to manager of towing andr ray green manager of parts/repairs. Ray adjusted seat but this is not where I feel comfortable as a driver. They both claimed the driver didn't touch seat. I now have video evidence. I tried over 2 months to get this problem addressed. Mr green said they would pay for labor but I need to purchase $500 in parts. I did not enter contract with business (I was forcibly towed) and do not feel like I should be responsible for their drivers negligence. The driver denied moving the seat or entering vehicle. I have video evidence that proves he is lying. I have obtained video footage from Maurice police that proves that my seat was damaged after he drove my truck. This was unnecessary and what broke the seat track.

The wrecker driver was able to position the vehicle behind wrecker truck to secure vehicle to tow truck.  As per his statement he was unable to move seat suggesting that the seat was inoperative at the time of tow service.  Once the complaint was initiated with our service department, the service manager *** ***** inspected the vehicle.  The plastic mechanism used to operate the seat was broken and inoperable.  Because we are not responsible for preexisting issues, we were not accepting responsibility.  As a gesture of good will Tim offered to correct the problem by replacing seat part at no charge if customer supplied the part. The customer refused to compromise suggested he would contact an attorney.  At that point we ceased negotiations and retracted offer.  However, we are willing to continue negotiations and honor our original offer.  It should be noted that the part is no longer available from the manufacturer do to age of vehicle. The part would have to be acquired from an aftermarket vendor.  The Labor to replace seat track will be in excess of $400 and the seat part should not exceed $100.  We feel our offer is generous.  Please let us know if customer is willing to accept our offer.
