They told me I’d be paying 45$ a month the bill now looks to be 85$ a month and it is in the form of a loan/credit card through ********* **** of roughly 3000$ and has a 26.99% APR. They said they gave me a. promotional one with no interest for the term of the contract but I’ve already started making interest payments. At the time of signing I asked if the papers I signed were going to open up a loan/ credit card in my name and the employee said no that’s just who we do our financing through (he lied). They also said they’d buy me out of my contract with my original alarm system company ********* ******* Now it’s been about 2 months and I’m stuck in between their payments and certified alarms payments. They said they’d send me a check and that I’d have to pay certified with that and I have never received a check. They also won’t answer my phone calls or texts. Their number online goes to a 3rd party company that emails them messages that they choose not to respond to. They also told me they’d just be replacing the existing alarm panel in my house and placing a new one in its spot. Instead they cut the wires to my old one and made a hole in my wall somewhere else to mount a new panel. I didn’t complain at the time because I was gonna deal with it for a cheaper price but I’m not happy with the lies and now lack of connunication. They also said they’d install a new camera and that never happened. Granted the text told me to text him when I’m available about a month and a half ago but there’s been no follow up and I don’t want him in my home anymore. . I also had to setup most of my smart devices to my alarm panel because the technician who came out didn’t know how.

I have heard from LA alarms but only because Certified alarms called the owner for me. The owner ,****, gave me a call back and offered to payoff /cancel the synchrony loan taken out in my name and I told him I’d accept that offer. That was two weeks ago and the loan still isn’t cancelled or paid off and I’ve called him once already to remind him.

On 12/14/2020, we purchased a brand-new house from DSLD Homes. Since LA Alarms is DSLD's preferred provider we were offered a home security system, which included doorbell with camera. We had to pay $1,400 up front for all the equipment and that included a 5-year warranty and 5 years of monitoring for $12.50 per month. Last week I was told there is a $25.00 fee for repairs to my doorbell. I haven't paid and told them when they called that it was a warranty issue. Today I received the monthly invoice for my monitoring and the rate was $19.50, a 56% increase. When I called to tell them the rate was wrong they said they raised the rate from $12.50 to $19.50, with no notice. This is ridiculous that they just nullify the agreements and raise their rates 2 1/2 years early. I want the agreement followed and no rate changes until the end of the 60-month period.

Mr ******** signed a 12 month agreement with LA Alarms. It is stated on the front of the agreement and in section 2 that it is a 12 month agreement.

Section 2 also allows us to raise our rates. As he stated we raised our monthly fee 2 1/2 years after he was installed. Also on the agreement it states there is a 90 day warranty and then a trip charge.

We will not lower our rates. Mr ******** is in a month to month agreement at this point he can cancel at anytime he would like, the equipment can be used by another company.  I just need an email letting me know he wants to cancel or we will continue to monitor his system.
