    We went to Atchafalaya Homes to look for a doublewide home in which our salesman was GREAT at first. One of the bigger double wides ended up going on a huge sale, in which she made it sound so great so we bought it. We also bought a 7 year extended warranty with the home. A year later, we have leaks in our ceiling in four different spots. Insurance will not cover it because “it’s not a structural issue” BUT when they delivered our house and set it up, they left tons of screw holes in our roof and the screws they did leave aren’t even screwed into anything. Our sales person won’t even try to help fix the issue, she just tells us to call ourself and it gets nowhere. The underneath of our spare bathroom and our kitchen sinks have been leaking for months and they never bothered to come even before our 1 year warranty expired. We still have a piece of trim they never bothered to come back and put down and we don’t have the piece that goes so we have to leave it how it is. The ceiling in our kitchen/living room is cracking at the marriage line. We’ve complained about our floor creaking multiple times and they never bothered to come out and fix it, now the creaking is spreading throughout the house. When we finally got in touch with the extended warranty company, they said they would come and still never showed up. I thought ********** ***** was bad, but they don’t come close to being as bad as Atchafalaya Homes. 110% REGRET selling my ****** single wide to get this even more **** doublewide.

    Terrible customer service! Most of my problems never got fixed they never came back to fix was supposed to be fixed missing material for my driveway, my back yard was never completed we have to replace the septic tank and the sprinklers in the back yard because they never came and finished the work they were supposed to finish. Called multiple times never sent anyone and when they did send someone they didn’t tell us anyone was coming so no adult was home.

    I purchased an Indies House single wide in 2006. My salesman was Cody. I was told I did not qualify for the home I chose. 3 months later I get a call that I was approved. Upon research I found out that I had the adequate credit score to begin with. I noticed the home did not look the exact same because at the time I did not want to order and wait I wanted the home on the lot. I had applied first but I think he let someone with cash take the home that I was in process of purchasing because he did not want to wait either. So I was cut out. So he forced me to wait anyway. I should not have agreed to buy this due to his rude lies. But I needed a home. He lied when I said it looked different because the furniture was removed. It was not the case. They delivered this home filthy. Full of saw dust in vents and all over surfaces as well as dead flies everywhere. At time of purchase they had taken $10,000 down payment. I noticed a huge crack in sheet rock above the door. I asked if they would reduce price. At that point Cody said he’d speak to the owner. He returned and said “actually someone is here with cash and we will sell it to them instead”. I said “you’ve already taken my down payment”. So I took the defective home out of desperation. Being told it is last one available and the man with cash wanted it. I’m sure he was lying to intimidate and bully me. The air conditioning never worked properly. Refrigerator broke in 5 years. AC had to be replaced in 5 years. They delivered home lopsided in back. A block cracked and it sank. They never leveled home and the doors were adjusted by my daughter who had to hang all doors and install lights overhead because they never set up the home. Very trashy people and dishonest. Junk appliances. Filthy home delivered and not cleaned. Probably sold me one they ordered that was a replica but missing some beauty as the original one I applied for was taken mid contract and sold to a customer who refused to wait. An expensive home

Like any home purchase, we strongly suggest each customer purchases a 1-7 year warranty for things that may happen like this.     Let me start saying this. The staff at ATCHAFALYA HOMES some of them or good and the others are just pure trash! I started my purchase in January of 22 , the loan process was dragged out on purpose! It took almost 6 months to get to closing because of ATCHAFALYA HOMES general manager! I traveled constantly to get to the bottom of why i t took so long for this process to be done, only to find out they slowed it down because they did not have a home to replace the home we purchased off the lot! Which should have been said from day one of sales purchase! They played some many games. I felt rob this first time home buying experience was the worse. They take your deposit and then treat you like your business does not even matter to them at all. I seen the ugly side of the so called general manager and how she lies and manipulates customers, how she talks down to her staff in front of potential customers and pending customers. I don’t know if the owners knows the **** that goes on in that office! On the general managers day off you can feel the. Atmosphere is different and the staff is relieved she is not there! All i can say. Is stay away from them at all cost. I am displeased with the process and evening more disappointed in the home I purchase the trim out crew caused so much damage the manufacturer has been her over 15 times because of ****** workmanship then they steal all the extra products that the manufacture leaves for the customer out of the home as well! This place really needs a new face in management! Stop taking peoples hard earned money and then treat them like crap! The proof is under the roof! Straight corruption in that office !!!

    They give you the run around about your money and ignore your calls. Please don't do business with them they are really junky. I been waiting on my deposit return for 2 months and they don't know where the money is at. 5800 dollars is alot of money to not be returned!!

    My name is ******** ****** I just want to let u guys know about my experience dealing with atchafalaya homes before y’all decide to do business with them it’s ben almost 2 months I’ve been waiting on my down payment refund every time I call are make my girlfriend call it all kinds of bs as long as the deal was going through my sales was so but when it felll through she became rude every time I called as long as the process was moving along she was so nice because she that was a commission for but when it wasn’t happening she stop answering my calls and y’all wondering who my sales person was it was the general manager Devin ****** I need my money

    Hello the consumer did a land home package that did not close, and the day before the closing his vehicle was repossessed. He stated he was working and thought his girlfriend was paying the note and when the refund check was ready to please call him and he was the only one to pick up the check, we went 3 months calling for the last $1300 owed to close with no answer, finally he had the money though his girlfriend, and the vehicle was repossessed. The girlfriend was recently told when the check is ready, she will not be able to pick it up, only Mr. ******. I will be happy to submit all the paperwork for review if needed. this customer owes fees for title work appraisal and things done on the loan. We have informed the girlfriend ******** will be the only one to pick up the check. When the invoices for the work done by other entities are collected and paid the remaining down payment will go to Mr. ****** only. There are other reasons he stated that he wanted that to happen, but I will refrain from getting into that. When you can no longer get financing because your vehicle is repossessed, we get a one star on the BBB. When Mr. ******'s check is ready, we will call him. I hope this helps and if submitting the documentation i have referenced here will remove this one star on our BBB I will be happy to do so, please advise.
