On Feb. 28, 2024, I signed a lease to transfer to a 1bedroom apt. When I was shown the apt. in Jan. 2024, I told the manager about the things that needed to be taken care of and she agreed to have the things like a new toilet, a decent fridge, new blinds for the patio, blinds for the bedroom window, and other small things taken care of. I have gone to the ofiice every other week and month to see why things are not ready. I am told we have ordered this and that or one more week or at the end of the month you can move in. This saying has gone on for 5 months. July will be 6 months that I have signed a lease for an apt. that is not ready for me to move into. Some one threw meat at the door of the apt. and it has not been cleaned up and it stinks and flies and I'm sure pest are hanging around. I am 67 years old and I feel very much abused and neglected. I have paid rent on time for 16 years at this complex. Not I am being treated like dirt. I am stressed out and depressed. My movers have given up and come about their business. I was supposed to move in 5 mos. ago. I have included some pictures. I have given them at least 5 lists over and over of the things needed to be done to the apt. There are a lot of germs and diseases going around and I can't afford to be affected. I would like for this complex to do the repairs so that I can move into my apt. Also in my lease this complex is suppose to pay for water but the new person told me in April that I owe for a water bill. I am use to moving into an apt. that is clean and in liveable condition.Initial Complaint

I have lived at this apartment for a year online. It says they pay for their utilities, but in the lease, they charge us for the utilities and we have not been able to use the pool or any of the amenities that are included in our rent because the lack of property management keeping up the property. I’ve also filled out several requests to have charges removed because I got my own renters insurance and they have still not done anything to remove it or fix the pool or repair the property .Initial Complaint

This apartment complex has failed to update my ledger (which now has multiple late charges due to their negligence), provide a mailbox key, and repair the HVAC within my unit since September 1st. I have been ignored and lied to for two months by the office workers. They would ignore my phone calls and emails causing me to go to their front office where they would tell me my issues would be resolved. I would then pay my rent and nothing would be fixed. I have made them aware that they are in default of my lease yet they still tell me that it will be resolved and to pay my rent.Initial Complaint

I lived here for 6 years starting in September 2017. Did not have an issue until 2013 when they moved a tenant across the hall from me that had criminal & burglary charges. Everyone is suppose to go through a background check so obviously they did not do that. The tenant across the hall jumped on the balcony trying to do whatever he did and I was not home at the time but I saw the footage on my ring cameras and called the police and showed the apartment manager and filed a police report. I asked management to let me out my lease or move me to another unit due to the fact that the apartment management gave them my personal information. The girlfriend of the tenant located me on the facebook and starting sending threats to me as well as her friends since I had blocked her. I put in several requests to be moved as well asked the management face to face about moving me for safely issues. Well the manager allowed them to leave the premises without any repercussions but the threats from them continued. To me this was not safe, knowing I lived alone the they knew exactly where I lived due to them being my neighbors. I was the victim so she should have moved me. When the threats got worse, I called management and asked what was my options for moving a month early. She stated forfeit my deposit and pay for the whole month of July even though I would not be there the entire month and don’t worry about August. Now 3 months later, they sent my personal information to a collection agency for unpaid rent. I have never been late on my rent and if I wasn’t told that information on the phone by management I would have stayed until August to avoid this. It does not make any sense. I rent an apartment at **** ******* ****** ****** ***. ****. (The Unit is *** ***) I am a 66-year-old woman. The grass has not been mowed in 4 or 5 months. The grass is all the way up to me walking up the walkway t my stairs. The bushes are covering the downstairs windows. I am terrified of snakes.and other creatures that might be attracted to the grass. I now have seen a rat in my apartment as big as a squrriel. The apartment complex takes out a monthly fee for pest control and takes out a fee for property maintenance. There is trash on the back where the trash disposals are that is all over the ground and has been light that for 2 months or more. I pay rent on time monthly but the upkeep is not being done. I am scared to go upstairs because of the high grass. Please help. I have reported it to the landlord and called the landlord and they told me last month that it would be taken care of.Initial Complaint

My hot water has been off May 4th. I have been calling them so much to tell them about the hot water. I just had a baby girl and I told them I need my hot water and they still haven’t fix it. This is day 20 of no hot water.Business response

We have fixed the issue with the hot water issue has been taken care of for 3 weeks now. We had 2 plumbers that came out and 1 told use it was a issue with the broiler but that wasn't the case because some units had hot water in the building . We had to wait to get a second opinion from another plumber once we found the problem maintenance but fix the Issus the same day which was May 19th of 2023
