I went to Touro 3 times with a major HIB infection. My throat swole close twice. 2 time I did not see a doctor only nurses, and I was misdiagnosed with strep despite testing negative and advocating for a second look. Nurses were cruel and condescending and I was only able to treat my HIB after a urgent care diagnosed me with proper testing. With this diagnosis they advised me to go to hospital. I again did not see a doctor and nurses were extremely condescending and tried to tell me to leave because HIB , haemophilius influenzae B is spelled similar to the flu, influenza, despite me assuring them its a bacterial infection and i was advised to go to hospital.After these visits to Touro I am getting bills on top of my hospital bills from institutions such as ***** that are I think from the doctors I never saw but I do not understand these additional charges. I also have no providers listed on my discharge papers or anywhere in the system when I called to let Touro know because the repeated misdiagnosis was very dangerous to me, and very dangergous to the young children in my life as I was repeatedly told I wasn't contagious and to return to work and normal.
