In October 2020, I hired the company for whole home foundation repair. We agreed on a price after they gave me a drawing and explained what all would be done. The work came with a 5 year warranty. This is my 2nd time reaching out to the BBB to get assistance with the company. After the 1st complaint the company came out and filled in a big hole they had dug in my crawlspace that kept filling with water. The representative stated that I now needed more work done for them to be able to continue with the warranty work that came with my original contract. They submitted a new set of plans that required another $6000 est. I am now being told until I replace rotten floor joists they will not come out to do any warranty work. Now my problem is in my original contract they were to do a whole home leveling that included treated beams and this was never done. So technically them not replacing the beams in the beginning is now why they have started to rotten. They have cause me more money as now I have cracks in new ceiling and walls, the floors have detached from the baseboards, floors that weren’t unlevel no are. I have materials they dropped off just sitting in my basement walkway. If I needed things replaced why wasn’t that on the original contract. And if it was included in the original contract and was never done and not included in the original price, how can they just think it’s ok to come back and add it and say the salesperson didn’t know what he was doing or talking about. That’s not my problem. They were paid to do a job regardless and no matter if I was given the wrong information and price, they should be held liable to do the job or refund me what they were paid so I can get someone else to come and do it. We basically are playing phone tag at this point to try to get a resolution. Last contact with *********** I get them mixed up was they would be here 1st week of November. Then office called and said he wouldn’t be coming out anymore til I made repairs.Business Response

This company did the foundation work on my home 5 years ago. "Lifetime guarantee"... So the outside wall thay piered, started sinking and cracking my drywall out. I called and scheduled a time for them to come out. No one showed when she (******) said they would so I called and she said it would be later in the day. Then guess what? No one showed. So I called the next day and the office manager (****** again) said they couldn't make it out and she didn't know when they would be able to reschedule, so I started talking about legal action and she immediately put me in touch with the owner (*******) who pawned me off on the co owner, and his son (****). **** tells me my name wasn't on the board for the day before, then tells me he guarantees (without looking!!!!!) that its a moisture issue which "would void the warranty", but that they would send out the guys. When the guys come, first!! They park in my yard. Trailer and all. I have a sprinkler system and dont want people in my yard but why would that matter.. Anyway, poor business practices but moving on. They dug at the back of my house (the wrong side) with a mini x and broke my septic line, which I had to fix... So anyway, they jacked up the back (the wrong side) 3/8". See, they came 4 hours early, but I was trying to get back to town to meet them, so my guy was doing the talking for me, telling them i was on my way etc. Which I was not far out but they werent going to wait. So their lead guy calls **** and tells **** he's not gonna wait around to argue with the F...... guy (me) and they load up and leave. I pulled in a few minutes layer. So I have some serious damage to my house right now and they aren't wanting to fix the root cause, their work. I've had one company out who also verified what side was failing... I guess I'm going to have to have them fix it and go the legal route or something from there. Watch, he will comment with, "your house was a moisture issue." That is what they do.Initial Complaint

On 10/10/23 I hired this company to replace rotten wood and relevel my entire foundation spanning 28ftx60ft. I chose them because they stated that I would not owe anything until the job was completed correctly, they use solid concrete blocks for piers that sit on 16x16 concrete pads with steel plates for shims, and they offer a 5 yr warranty. After 3 visits here for corrections, my home is more unlevel and unstable than before they started. You can see in the post repair inspection report, there is rotten wood still present and the frame underneath and floors inside are visibly unlevel. They used random blocks and old wood that was found around the house. There are sunken and leaning piers without any pads under them causing the outside beams to twist and walls to lean. They did not replace the 20ft of beam on the back of the house that was quoted. They removed subfloor support braces on the outside walls and did not replace them. They shimmed on TOP of some joists. The entire level job was done with a 4ft hand level by placing it in random spots on top of the flooring in the home, a method not capable of leveling the actual frame of a 60ft home. The subfloor is so much higher than the center wall in my den that my TV stand is leaning back and propped against the wall. There are 40 joists that are rotten and crumbling, making it impossible to level the home without repairing the bad joists first. The frame of my home is now in a bind and so twisted that the back door will not open, and I have nails poking through from the ceiling and walls. They didn't provide the quality or services they sold me. My home is NOT LEVEL, and they did NOT use the materials that they represented. See pics. I accept that this was a more complicated job than they expected, but it's unethical to keep my money and leave my home unlevel and structurally unstable. I have agreed for them to keep $500 for materials/gas, but it's only fair to refund the remainder to maintain their INTEGRITY.Initial Complaint

I had my house leveled in the April 2020 by Level Home Foundation. I had an appointment scheduled for August 26,2022 @ 9 am to come back out; however, no one called or showed up. on the day of my appointment . I've been working out of town, so when I returned home to reached out to them again. I sent a message on Facebook messenger on Dec 17, 2022 and received a response on Dec 18th asking me to call. I called on Dec 19th and Dec 22nd and left messages. I also posted on their business Facebook page on December 23rd and have yet to receive a response. I had to post my message on an old post because I was unable to post on their business page.Business Response

May 16 2021 I hired Level Home to fix the floor in my home. Previous owner had water damage which caused the floor to rot and become un-level and weak. I paid them 17,950 dollars to repair all damage to said floor. I used Level Home because of their warranty. In March I called them because floor wasn't level anymore and needed someone to come to re-level home. They didn't show or call to tell me they couldn't make it. Made another appointment which they didn't show or call again. I have made 5 appointments (with the latest being Dec 10th.) in total with promises they would show and they haven't. No call no show. Level Home was to repair all damage to floor. There is still damage that they didn't fix and as a result is why floor isn't level anymore. I have contacted another leveling company for a second opinion which they stated under the kitchen floor area needed to be replaced as well. They could tell it had been patched but not fixed properly and until repaired the floor wouldn't be level. I went under house with them so they could show me and shocked at what wasn't fixed. Level Home in my eyes is responsible for this. I have paid them in full and they have given me the run around. I have taken off work to be here for them to show which has cost me even more money. They haven't even came out to look at my problem. I believe they know they charged me for work they didn't do and now they don't want to warranty their work as promised. This is so unfair and unprofessional.Business Response

Contract sign 3/18/22 for 6600.00 work done returned 9/1/22 to fix errors in work. Hired Level Home to fix the foundation on my house before selling. Paid in full on completion of initial leveling. My walls were destroyed but I fixed that they did refund 300.00 but the cost was more than triple that. They left leaving the house not only noticeably not level but put a bow in the bedroom floor that wasn't previously there. It took 2 months for them to return to fix the bow. They put too many shims in the floor and left a jack there. They stayed for 15 minutes never leveled the floor and said they'd be back. The house was under contract and the buyer had a foundation inspection. It did not pass and would take another 10,100 dollars to fix the errors made. I was presented with the estimate from the buyers company. I called and emailed multiple times to Level Home and received no response. Eventually I was informed that there was no one who could make a decision to fix the foundation until Nov 2. Consequently the contract of sale on my house was terminated due to the fact they refused to come and fix the problem within the contract time limit. Now I'm afraid to have them back to fix the problems they left in case they cause more damage.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/28) */ We will be glad to fix any issues . She needs to call XXX-XXX-XXXX to schedule warranty. When we went by before our product we had installed had been disturbed and there was a jack under residence that did not belong to us. I don't know if this was a result of them getting someone else to service . If this is the case this voids warranty! There is also drainage issues at this residence and this also is not covered by warranty as poor drainage cause piers to sink. I would be happy to personally inspect. Thank You Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/09/30) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) There was no other company work. Just an inspection, Your workers were the ones that said they left the jack to a witness that was here the day they returned to correct the bow in the bedroom floor where the first crew placed too many shims. This took 2 months. There are no drainage issues I sit very high on a hill but I will have a reputable company check this. I no longer have any trust in your work and I don't believe what you have to say. This issue has been going on for months.Initial Complaint

Level Home Foundation Repair worked on my home in November 2017. Warranty is for 5 years due to expire 11/21/2022. Shortly after initial repairs, had Level Home back out to complete an area that was either not done or done correctly. Thought all was ok until doors stopped closing and several small areas of flooring started showing dips in main area of original repair. Called business starting on 08/10/2021 and again 08/12/21. Finally *********** called back on 08/21/21. Let her know what problems I was having. This started a series of appointments. 1st - 09/30/2021, 2nd- 02/02/2022, 3rd- 02/23/2022, 4th- 07/14/2022, 5th- 09/09/2022, and 6th- 09/16/22. Each and every appointment resulted in the companies failure to come out as scheduled and all without a call prior to the missed appointment. I was left waiting and trying to reach someone to find out why no one showed up. More detailed notes are available. In 13 months, Level Home Foundation has repeatedly wasted my time setting appointments that I can only assume they never intended to show for to begin with. I've had to make the calls, leaving endless messages due to not being able to reach anyone, and even sending an email to Mr. ******* Eason on 02/23/2022, with my concerns. Mr. Eason did not have the courtesy to answer my email with any type of response. The person who schedules appointments, *********** says that the only way owner (Mr. Eason) can be contacted is by email and the only way she can talk to him herself is by email or if he calls her. Nothing about this has made any sense other than the company seems determined to not honor the warranty clearly labeled with price on the signed contract prior to repairs. Since the beginning of my initial call 08/21/21 until now, the problem has become steadily worse causing additional damages from when I first called.Business Response

After complaint, Level Home did call, did set an appointment and did keep that appointment. Information was sent to BBB on 09/27/2022, regarding their response. Please verify you received. I just checked and it appears it is there. If not, I will have to get some help next week. I only have an iPhone- no computer. We will re-send. Thank you! Feel free to call me if you wish.
