    Ive had an extremely frustrating experience with Buildiums customer service, particularly regarding 1099 and tax-related issues. A case I opened was closed twice without resolution, and reaching customer support has been a challenge. Changing the *** on file has also been difficult, with little guidance or assistance.Despite multiple requests, I never received a call from a supervisor, which only added to the disappointment. The lack of responsiveness and follow-through has made what should be a straightforward process unnecessarily stressful. Very disappointing service.

    I have $20K in tenant deposits that Buildium is willfully withholding from depositing into my bank account for an unknown reason. They have simply confirmed for me they can't deposit the money but are not telling me what they need. It is hard to get in touch with this company on things they s**** up. They are definitely in the business of taking advantage of people. Do not use this company, unless you want them to take all of your tenants deposits for themselves.

    We have a medium-sized property management company and signed up with Buildium.The app is overly complicated. However, the real issue is the lack of customer service. The customer service appears to route to a call center in **** and they don't provide answers unless you are in one of the higher tiered plans, making their so-called "robust" software absolutely useless.Until they completely change their attitude and culture in regard to the way they hep customers, AVOID.

    For Essential subscriptions, lots of other support options are available. Ticket and email support is available 24/7 (including holidays). Additionally, our support library, which is accessible through your Help & Support menu, includes a chatbot that can direct you to articles that can help. Also in your Help menu, we have Buildium Academy, a completely free online video course with lessons for the common topics, including account setup, accounting, maintenance, leasing, and so much more, with new courses added throughout the year. 

    We're confident that with this info, you can get the answers to the questions you are looking for, either directly from our customer care team, or from online and virtual resources.

    I called and emailed to downgrade from the expensive and unnecessary GROWTH plan, after several emails and calls - THEY DID NOT DOWNGRADE MY PLAN AS REQUESTED - and charged the UNAPPROVED GROWTH PLAN RENEWAL - the annual subscription of $2107! I am still waiting for the REFUND - again after several calls and emails. They claim 'award winning service' - more like charging unapproved amounts to the ** on file and not actioning customer requests.

    Good Product - No Customer Support.The below experience as of September 2024.Trying to receive support for a Buildium issue and no support being offered. There are three known ways to reach out to Buildium Support: Case ticket, Chat, ***** number. I will address each support method below and the black hole ****************** Ticket: You are able to submit a case ticket for issues on Buildium, but after submission you have no visibility into the effectiveness of this submission. There is no audit history of this submission. We do not receive an email confirmation about the case submittal nor a case ID after submission. ******: You speak with the ** chat bot and explain the issue, select the appropriate topic, and choose the option to speak with an Agent. When you select speak with an agent you receive No Agent is available.3.***** number: Calling the ***** number listed on Buildium Support tab you encounter a menu with three options to select from to move forward with getting your issue addressed. The recording asks you to select 1,2, or 3 based upon the customer type you are calling on behalf of. When you press the number on your phone to select the customer type you are calling on behalf of. Nothing happens, the recording message continues to offer the same recorded message on loop providing you with directions to select your customer type.Irresponsible and possibly unethical? company support.

    When emailing customer care, please be sure to check your spam or junk folder for our confirmation email and any subsequent follow-ups from care agents. As always, your CSM is available to follow up with the care team if you don't get a response from them within 1 business day.

    I liked the actual software. The bad review is because of their unprofessional business practices. They expect you to leave a credit card or bank account on file and then they change their fees mid subscription. I paid for an annual subscription- it was almost 2000$. The incoming EFT fees were waived with the growth subscription. 6 months in they changed their policy and now they charge for incoming EFT fees. When I spoke to customer services they could do nothing for me- and said that in the contract they can change their fees any time. Since I have already paid for a year- I am stuck and they can up their charges any time they see fit. This company has poor business practices- bait and switch technique.If I had known this I would have found someone else.I would not recommend them!

    Boy, do I wish I had read these before I signed up for Buildium. I was very specific in what I was looking for and *****, the salesman promised me that the system would do everything that I needed. Specifically I needed to bill electric meter reads to my customers with the read dates, previous meter read and present meter read with the *** The invoice did nothing but an amount. Also, I asked for "tags" so that I could email or text certain classes of residents - those with pets, those on the electric meter reads, those who wanted email and those who wanted mail. ****** again assured me that the system would do that and none of that was true. I emailed the salesman 4 times with no answer until I told him I was cancelling and only then did he want to answer my concerns. I had to completely redo all of my January and February work in another system costing me hundreds of hours and carpal tunnel in both hands. Don't believe what they promise.

    I heard that Buildium was a good product for real estate rental management, and would scale well with my goals. I couldn't even get started properly because support was not able to answer necessary accounting questions in time. I submitted a ticket, and only received a response a month and a half later. I pre-paid for a year, unfortunately, and they refused to provide a refund for the service after I decided to go with an alternate platform due to their inability to respond in a timely manner. I requested a pro-rated refund for the amount of time I would not be using (9 months), even though I was unable to use the product for the first 3 months. They rejected my request.Additionally, their product is incapable of handling multiple company accounts (as per their support response 1.5 months later), as many real estate investors tend to have (one LLC per property).Find a company with better commitment to customer satisfaction, support and integrity.
